WTO Thursday 7.22

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

R/R: I was fairly productive yesterday but still have lots to do today. I did get excited yesterday when I remembered that I had the audiobooks of the Outlander series. That’s definitely made it easier to put down my book and get going on cleaning since I could listen to the book and still be productive. Much of the same is on the list for today but my workout is already done so that’s a good start!

@gingermama29 I keep wondering if I'd like audiobooks. I love listening to podcasts and now all the current ones I regularly listen to I've caught up on. Now I'm waiting every week for new episodes. Maybe I just need to find podcasts that release new episodes on Thursday and Friday as I have 3 podcasts that cover Monday-Wednesday.

    Month/Cycle: 9 AL

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: gf/df diet, covid vaccine, maybe getting DH drunk on his birthday haha it worked last time

R/R: I woke up at 4:30 this morning with the worst stomach pain. My digestive system was NOT happy. Ugh that was miserable. I don't know what it would have been yesterday that caused such a problem. DH and I had a similar dinner so it must have been something with the salad I had for lunch *shrug*. Thankfully my temp wasn't affected when I checked it an hour later when that alarm went off at 5:45. I've been really into watching Hell's Kitchen these last couple weeks and we stayed up late to finish season 4 last night. So far we are 4/4 for the winners being who we wanted to/guessed would win!

    CS/Q: so far so good.

@gingermama29 Glad you are having a productive week! I have never watched/read Outlander but this is the second mention I've heard of it in the past 12 hours. What is it about?

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD:11

WAYDTGKU: opk, kindara, temping-lite, pnv, nac, maca, mthf

R/R: I picked up a fitbit charge 4 a few days ago and it's just now starting to post my skin temp, so I'm eager to see how that goes! I have previously used Oura ring, which similarly just showed a chart with no real temps but +/- baseline, so this might at least give me an idea without diving into the bbt thermometer.

@inthewoods23 Oh no, sorry about your GI! Hope you feel better soon!

@mamanbebe I keep thinking about a fitbit. I'm super interested in how my sleep is. I wish fitness trackers also did blood pressure but there are very few wristwatch type BP checkers since BP from your wrist isn't exactly reliable. I'd still be interested to see how it changes when I'm dealing with general work nonsense or the craziness that is my SIL/future BIL. I've been feeling okay the last few hours so I think my body is happy. Definitely made sure to have comfy sweats and a flannel on today.

@inthewoods23 ugh what a crappy way to wake up. I’ve never watched Hell’s Kitchen but I feel like I would enjoy it. I generally like shows similar to it.

@mamanbebe oh man it is SO good!! It’s kinda hard to really describe but I’ll do my best. The basic synopsis is about a woman who accidentally travels back in time to 18th century Scotland. She gets picked up by a group of Scottish Highlanders and is trying to get back to her own time. It’s like a mix of romance/historical fiction and so well written! The show is amazing too. No lack of eye candy either! 😊 There are currently 8 books (with the 9th coming out in November) and 6 seasons (with the 7th airing in February). I HIGHLY recommend!!!

@gingermama29 it's on my to-do list to re-read the books before the next one comes out! I think I'm part way through the 4th, but it's been a while since I picked it up haha. They're just sooooo long. Also, February for the next season?!?! 🙌🙌

@mamanbebe I have a versa 2 and it tracks temp, but only does a +/- delta change day to day. It's really inaccurate compared to my BBT 😂 I'm curious if yours will be better.

@inthewoods23 I've also had mysterious stomach cramps all week, and I have no idea why! So weird.

    Month/Cycle:2 AL
    CD: 9
    WAYDTGKU: bench warming and practicing
R/R: thought of the week: damn, I feel so much better when I actually put effort into my hair/makeup. I don't mind going makeup free /air dried hair when WFH, even on video, but it's been nice to see myself looking "pretty" every day instead of washed out with frizzy hair. Just an extra boost of confidence 😊

@gingermama29 I’ve been meaning to read Outlander for the longest time! Have you watched the show?

@inthewoods23 ugh I’m sorry you had such a bad night!

@mamanbebe that Fitbit sounds really cool! I didn’t know they took your temperature also.

@pajamstagrams I try to get myself dressed every morning for the same reason (I’ve been working weekends only up until last week). I’m glad you got a confidence boost!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    WAYDTGKU: OPK, CM

R/R: I got a positive OPK this afternoon so O should be tomorrow! I have a four day weekend next week so we booked a trip to the beach and I am super excited. I’ve had all the orientation stuff to do this week for my new job and it is TEDIOUS and I am desperately in need of a getaway.

@pajamstagrams yesss, rock that confidence and enjoy looking good for you! I haven’t worn makeup at all this summer.

@shortstack930 yessss several times! I make it a point to rewatch from the beginning every time a new season is out. Have so much fun at the beach!!

@shortstack930 great timing on you +! I hope you have a wonderful beach vacation!

@gingermama29 that sounds really interesting! I’ve been reading novels  written by women from the 18-19c for the past couple years in my free time and that sounds right up my alley!

@pajamstagrams I think the problem I faced with Oura and likely this is hot room cold room arm in arm out. I’m hoping I can find a way to keep the variables consistent but who knows haha.

@inthewoods23 the Fitbit monitors sleep pretty well but you might be interested in Stress Responsiveness readings. It dives into several different factors to give you a calculation each day, including sleep, activity exertion and the combined heart data (heart rate variability, waking resting heart rate, sleeping resting heart rate and some fitbits monitor electrodermal activity).
