Hope it's ok I started this...this thread keeps me sane!

    Weeks/EDD? 4+1 March 23rd

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 4 losses..MMC2017, MMC2018, CP2020, MC2021

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically the nausea and sore boobs have definitely kicked it up a notch. Emotionally...stressed. I'm feeling optimistic but then my brain says "stop that you fool". My tests are looking fantastic (15dpo and the test line is sooooo much darker than the control line) but with my first 2 losses my betas progressed normally too...so although definitely better than my last 2 losses, I'm still super stressed at the thought of any appointment or blood work or anything that could bring reality crashing down on to my head!

Any appointment updates? I have an appointment for betas next week on Tuesday and Thursday...but I'm considering canceling. I'm just getting so stressed as the day gets closer. Plus there has been no more spotting since the 1 episode on Monday and my tests are getting so much darker every day...I might call my doctor and ask if it's ok not to go and just wait for my first ultrasound. I think waiting for the beta results would be more stressful than just not going at all.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Probably said it all above. I think I'll be able to remain calm until it's actually time for a real appointment. I start crying at the thought of other people getting ultrasounds...so I am going to be a disaster if I make it that far...

ETA canceled my betas for next week and feeling so much better! Set up a phone appointment with my doctor for next Thursday instead so we can figure out when would be the best time to book the ultrasound.

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MMC 12/18 MMC 10/20 CP 12/20

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?  Emotionally, i'm feeling hopeful, which makes me feel nervous. But for now i'm still pregnant, so I'll try to enjoy it to whatever extent i can. Physically i'm like low-level hungover..aka.. 1st tri. Nothing terrible, i'd prefer to be sleeping/lounging.

Any appointment updates? Nope.. nothing till next week

Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope. My in laws are coming this week so i think we will probably tell them. Do you have any good ways to share the news without making a big deal of it? I hate the disappointment of having to walk it back, but they know we've been trying and struggling with losses, so i'd feel weird keeping it from them.
  • @morgantu Every time I get pregnant now my standard message to SO is something along the lines of "circle *insert EDD here* on the calendar. I'm not sure if it's going to stick yet but for now we are pregnant".

Ahhh I didn’t see this and just posted one, is it too early to blame pregnancy brain? How do I delete?

ETA: I don’t think you can delete I changed date so we have one ready for next Thursday, woops!

  • @gembud I’m so glad you saw a heartbeat. Such a milestone and a moment of huge relief I bet.

@morgantu I have the same question. I also don’t know how I want my parents and in laws to react. Like, be excited but not too excited.

@Panaceia don’t beat yourself up for feeling optimistic. Sending good vibes

    Weeks/EDD? 4 weeks 6days

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? CP 05/2021

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Good. Tired. Didn’t make it as far as symptoms last time so this is a good sign.

Any appointment updates? Had my beta hcg tested on Tuesday and again today. Never had the beta repeat test with my first 2 kids but my doctor ordered it due to the CP earlier this year. My levels were 885 today which I think are good but I don’t know what they were Tuesday. Will try to reach my doctor tomorrow.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband is so sweet and supportive. I think he can sense that I need some more emotional support this time around. I’ve been getting flowers and all sorts of special treats this week.

  • Weeks/EDD? 4+6, 3/18

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Lost one 10/2015 and 12/2019. In 2019, we had our first ultrasound just a couple days after the little ones heart stopped beating.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Very anxious, but last time I had a bad feeling right from the start. This time, just anxious, so I am hoping that is a good sign.

Any appointment updates? We moved last summer. So my ob is about an hour away, and as much as I loved that practice, I need to find a new doc. I put it off, because pandemic, but now I am also navigating new insurance. So hopefully tomorrow morning I can get an appointment set up.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My sister is moving 8 hours away, so next week we will be going to visit for a few days/help unpack. I'm not sure how to keep all my feelings to myself! My sister gave me a weird stare yesterday, but I don't think I have been super bloated. We will see what happens!
  • @Panaceia that sounds like a pretty good plan. I assume my MIL will ask, so we'll see how it goes.

@gembud yayyyy heartbeat! I was thinking last night that the (1) time i saw i heatbeat, i brought home a baby.
None of the others have made it that far. I'm really looking forward to that first US.

@realhousewife519 exactly Re: reactions! Last time, my MIL was like "are you excited?" and i tried to answer so diplomatically lol. She had several losses as well before MH and SIL so she gets it, thank goodness. Also, AWWWWW at YH! how sweet :)

@luckyduck42 last time i was pg, my sister said she knew before she even saw me... My sister is a special bird, but maybe it's a thing!

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? One loss April ‘21

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?
Feeling good day, sick as ever but reassured by continuing symptoms.

    Any appointment updates?
Ultrasound scheduled for 7/21! And first appointment on 7/28. Very anxious to get those both out of the way. Hcg on 7/13 at 5w5d was 46,000 which explains the insane nausea.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Made it through the first half of my first shift back to work without puking! Sipping on ginger ale all day long.
  • @night_nurse the ginger ale is a big hit here, too. A friend recommended freezing them into popsicles so I’m definitely doing that this weekend!
  • @rachelredhead ooooo that’s a great idea!
  • @Panaceia yay for darkening tests! I’m feeling cautiously hopeful, too. First US is Monday and I hope that will provide a bit more optimism.
  • @rachredhead Oooh yay! I'm sure the ultrasound will be great!!!! I have mine booked for August 12th. I'll be 8+1 so I figure if nothing else it should at least be definitive.
  • Woot woot @Panaceia!! I put my tests away (in a different closet, lol) so I'm trying to be done too. Dark lines are the first step!
  • @Panaceia that’s great news!!

Even with betas off the charts I’m debating testing when I get home. Today is my first day without nausea in over a week. I’m trying to reason with myself that I am also taking diclegis at night, eating regularly and first thing in the morning, and drinking carbonated water and ginger ale which helps me too. Other symptoms are still there like breast tenderness and fatigue. Someone talk me down! Anyone else struggle with the waxing and waning of symptoms making you think something is wrong?
  • @Panaceia ooh I’d be interested to read the study on symptoms if you stumble across it again!
  • @quiltandknit Definitely! I'll post a link as soon as I find it again. It kept me sane last time!!!
  • @Panaceia thank you thank you thank you. I am going to google too to see if I can find a similar article. That is SO reassuring to read.

I think often about how I never questioned a single symptom, test result, or was anxious for any scans with my first pregnancy, but since our loss it’s basically all I worry about.
  • @night_nurse I get it. I'm completely the same way...which is stupid for me because there were literally no warning signs with my MMCs. I was even still throwing up for a few weeks after the D&Cs...so even though logically I know that symptoms mean nothing, I still spend WAY too much time worrying about them. I still can't find that article but  going to keep looking. I'm sure it will show up somewhere at some point! I did find one today that said your hydration, amount of sleep, activity level, what you eat, how much you slept etc all have a daily affect on your symptoms too!
