I started my day with a meeting that could've been an email. Also, I've been in charge of the process discussed for 6 years, but they still invited my boss on the call. I'm not sure what he was supposed to contribute because I literally cover everything for the entire technical team, hence the unofficial title of "primary tech contact."

@makingbacon My last job was notorious for having meetings (after set work hours) that could have been emails. It drove me insane. One of the many reasons I left that job.

We live next to a family that has three teenagers that their friends love to TP, egg, throw boxes of cereal on your yard, etc. So now we have cracked eggs all over our sidewalk. So gross and annoying. Why are teenagers so dumb?

@makingbacon My husband's job is like that. For several months he had an update meeting at the end of every day at 5:00 PM and then the same update meeting at 7:30 the next morning. No one worked those hours so nothing has changed. Business are dumb sometimes...

@lexilougolden That is so annoying! Can you talk to your neighbors about it? Their kids might be more aware of when it's happening and ask their friends to watch what they're doing? But also teenagers

@lexilougolden Yeah that's gross. I had a neighbor who used to throw old food out into their backyard to feed the wildlife. I feel the only wildlife he was attracting were bugs and mice. Once or twice as a dumb joke is whatever, but more than that I'd be complaining to their parents and ask that they clean up anything that ends up outside their property.

We discovered last week that the dishwasher at our new house is leaking, and has been for months. There's all sorts of water damage and mold growth under it. We have someone coming out tomorrow to take a look, and we're hoping the damage isn't as bad as we're imagining.

We're so frustrated because our home inspector is claiming they ran the dishwasher and there was no leak, and their guarantee to fix anything they missed doesn't include water damage. The seller didn't disclose the water leak, but unless we can prove that he 100% knew about it, he gets away with lying on the disclosure form without any penalties. And of course, since the dishwasher repairman who came out last week said the damage has been going on for months, our home insurance won't cover any damage from before we bought the house. So because the home inspector and seller both lied to us we're going to be out all this money trying to get the mold out of a house that we would never have bought if we knew beforehand.

I started my day by waking up at 6:30a. Got to work at 7:30a. Left work at 5p after a full day of consults (worked through lunch) to pick up my 4yo to take her to swim class. I forgot to pack her swim clothes so I had to ask my husband to drop them off at her school. You would have thought I asked for him to go 3 hours out of his way instead of 5 min from our house. Where he was. Since he only worked 9a-3p today. 😡

to then pick up dinner, get home, feed the kids and myself. It is 7:30p and I am sitting down for the first time with nothing to do for the moment.

I love my husband, but I did think about murdering him earlier.

@lexilougolden That is gross. Does it end up in your yard a lot?

@effie0513 That is awful. Hopefully everything gets figured out, and it isn’t as expensive/extensive as you’re expecting.

@angelz429 I felt the “I did think about murdering him earlier” in my soul. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. DH does daycare drop off because I work from home, and I’ve ran things to daycare when it’s forgotten. Ironically enough, swim trunks are the #1 item forgotten at our house, too.

@effie0513 that sucks and i can't imagine the possible smell coming from that either if there is one.

Today I called my new ob office to find out what would be going on at my appointment tomorrow..Only to find out I now have to do a THIRD PROOF OF PREGNANCY!! 🤬🤬🤬 im going on 12 weeks without any knowledge as to what is going on with baby or knowing if everything is okay. Ill probably rip someone's head off if they tell me they can't do an ultrasound in the same day, same appointment. I understand not getting multiple ultrasounds and the whole reason I found a new ob was cause the last place wasn't gonna see me till the END OF AUGUST.

@makingbacon we had about a dozen broken eggs on our sidewalk and a few in our grass. It's so hot that the yolk just bakes into the sidewalk too. Yuck. And broken eggshells are not easy to clean up.

@alexxajams unfortunately it is our neighbor's friends...so we don't know who did it. No!! That's so hard not to see what's going on. I feel that. Even now after having an ultrasound I find myself daily wondering and having anxiety about whether the baby is okay. I'm sorry.
