Re: WTO Weekend of 7/17-7/18

  • Month/Cycle: 2/ 1AL

    CD: lucky 13

    WAYDTGKU: benched

R/R: Everyday autocorrect tries to correct “benched” to “benches” 🤦🏼‍♀️  I’ve been so busy in the kitchen all morning making pasta salad and ambrosia. I’ve made 2 dozen carrot cake cupcakes and a double layer cake with fresh strawberries in the middle. I sat down to watch the last episode of a show I was binging and fold clothes, and I realized I have frosting all over me. Haha. It’s on my ankle. Lol like how!? But ugh back to pouring here. All day. My poor husband came home from work for lunch to change his clothes and put his coat in the dryer. I hate that he has to work outside on days like these. And also there is a tornado warning for the southern portion of my county… a little too close to home for me. Hopefully nothing comes of it.

CS/Q: we’ve been sleeping with the ac on and my temps are all over the place. Ugh.

GTKY: What's your favorite/indispensable kitchen gadget?
Hmmm. I got a new pizza cutter that I’m thrilled with. I also love my crockpot and soup pots. I prefer to do everything the hard way so I don’t really use “gadgets” per say.
  • Loading the player...
  • @paytonpedro mmmm carrot cake 🤤 definitely my favorite type of cake because the frosting is so yummy. So...since you prefer to do everything the hard way, to you grate carrots by hand? 😜

Stay safe today! Tornado warnings are no fun.

    Month/Cycle: 2AL

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: benched

R/R: had a good session at the (home) gym today! Should be close to hitting some of my goals so that's exciting.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What's your favorite/indispensable kitchen gadget? Hmmmm probably my espresso machine 🙈 I'm such a coffee snob and I looove having the ability to make myself an americano be with foamy milk anytime I want. I'd also say that my instant pot and food processor are a close behind for a 2nd place tie.
  • @pajamstagrams generally yes. But I’m a super cheater and bought box mix 🙈🙈 I just had way too much to do to make it from scratch. It’s my dads favorite too. Yay to you for getting close to hitting exercise goals!! I have no accountability and I wish I had more motivation. And an espresso machine sounds so nice!!! But I’m probably way too lazy so I just use my keurig. Which is a kitchen gadget??!?! And actually my favorite. Lol.
  • I’m happy to finally be getting back into the dailies! It’s nice to know what’s going on with everybody.

@pajamstagrams & @paytonpedro Feel free to join us in the Healthy Habits thread. We are all at different levels of fitness and health goals.

@paytonpedro Today’s menu at your house sounds amazing! Were you prepping for a gathering? Carrot cake is delish with that cream cheese frosting. Hummingbird cake with the same frosting is my absolute fave, next to that delicious strawberry layer cake you described. Can I come over?😀

@pajamstagrams Jelly of your espresso machine! Fancy coffee with a frothy top is so fulfilling, hahaha. What kind do you have?  I’ve always wanted a machine for that reason but don’t drink enough coffee to justify it.

Month/Cycle: I have no idea today.

    CD: 1

WAYDTGKU: Thankfully, I think this cycle is going to be fairly quiet as I reset after two back-to-back egg retrievals. I also get to lay off a bunch of TTC meds, which is lovely.

R/R: Rave: I’m all caught up with work stuff ahead of deadline so I can actually relax this weekend. Rant: MH was being a Mr. Poopy-head this morning and we got into it so now I’m ignoring him, lol. I’m going to lie in bed the rest of the afternoon with these CD1 cramps and watch TV. Self-care.😉

    CS/Q: One lonely dot.

GTKY: What's your favorite/indispensable kitchen gadget? It would probably be my Keurig. We have a nice wooden tray set up next to it with the tea collection, monkfruit sugar alternative in a pretty jar with a scooper, myo-inositol powder next to that, and collagen powder next to that. Form & function. (The plastic of the Keurig is the one thing I couldn’t eliminate after reading “It Starts With The Egg”. 🤷‍♀️)
  • @keikilove you’re invited! Haha. We have a couple birthdays this weekend so we’re just doing a smallish family get together. 20ish people. two back to back egg retrieval’s?! You’re a champ! How many did they get for you? I hope today is a better day with Mr. Poopy-head. lol. Also could never eliminate my keurig. Your set up sounds Pinterest worthy!
  • @paytonpedro sounds like you had a productive day! It's amazing how stuff gets everywhere when baking isnt it?
@pajamstagrams oooh goals in reach! Nice!
@keikilove back to back retrievals sound rough, glad you get to lay off a bit. Fingers crossed for you!

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD: 6

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon, metformin

R/R: I've mobile bumped so much my predictive text has my WAYDTGKU memorized lol.
We're on VACATION! WOO! And I remembered my thermometer, double woo!

    CS/Q: not yet

GTKY: What's your favorite/indispensable kitchen gadget? Probably my KitchenAid mixer. Mine is a nice cast iron tilt head from the 80s, my mom got it when my parents got married and mom held on to it when she got a fancier one, and gave it to me when we got our own house. All it needed was a $5 base plate replaced and it was good as new and I love it.
  • @keikilove it's a breville! We got it I think in 2016 and it still works great!  You could always switch to the "diy" k cups where you use your own coffee. But still, the container has plastic 😕.
Yay for being off meds! I'm sure it's nice to have a more 'relaxing' cycle, if that's even possible.

@fantasyflyte oooh enjoy your vacation! I always bring my thermometer, but never remember to use it, so don't be like me 🙈

+1 for a KitchenAid mixer, those things are legit and last forever!
  • I think? my bloodwork all came back good, at least it's all in the normal ranges on Quests site? I'll put the numbers in a spoiler, I think the plan is to discuss them with my doctor next month if this cycle isn't the one, and we do an ultrasound on CD12.

    Testosterone 25

    17-hydroxyprogesterone 12

    FSH 5.0

    LH 1.3

    DHEA sulfate 108

    Prolactin 7.8

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opk’s

R/R: Work turned into a mess in a really emotionally draining way and pulled me away from schoolwork for a significant portion of the weekend. So now I have to figure out how I catch up…not great. I have so much on my plate right now and there’s no end in sight.

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: What's your favorite/indispensable kitchen gadget? Rice maker! I actually am posting explicitly because I love my rice maker so much and needed to let everyone know lol
  • @fantasyflyte have you had 7dpo bloodwork done yet? To my understanding, the combination of the two labs can get a full snapshot of your hormonal health so that you know if your body is doing its job in both phases of your cycle (forgive me if this is redundant to what you have known or completed)
