Weekend Randoms 7-10/7-11

That's crazy to me, typing those dates. This year is FLYING by.

Anyway, what's going on this weekend?

We have nothing planned today, which is fine by me. Except I'm getting a nap since my husband is currently still sleeping in. Then tomorrow I have to take both boys to swim lessons alone, kinda stressed. I have to go in the pool with the little guy, but the bigger guy likes to have someone watching his lesson, and the lessons are usually concurrent. Sometimes one instructor is substituted for another, so the time might be a little off... we'll see how it goes. But I HATE getting them both dressed in those tiny dressing rooms, where you're trying to prevent dry clothes from hitting the wet floor, trying to prevent someone from opening the door while you're still getting dressed... oy. Then I'm taking the kids to my parents' house where we plan to have an epic water fight with my brother and his wife. Kinda looking forward to that.

We are cleaning house and getting things ready for our garage sale next weekend. Also planning a trip to Chuck E Cheese for the boy and then watching Black Widow tonight. Tomorrow I have camp set up and then hanging out for the rest of the afternoon/day.

@Lisa3379 at old navy they have really cute terry cloth robes that just zip up - i will change my DD into a swimsuit at home and then pack the robe and underwear for after- i get her out of her swimsuit throw on the underwear and robe- super quick and easy !

Yesterday we went to the renaissance festival and then today we went to out local antique store and looked around for a couple of hours- I found a super cute baby blanket!

@relizabethp oh, that’s a good idea! I should look into something like that. Ultimately swim lessons went well, except my 2 year old realized that he can cry “poo” and that will make us get out of the pool and miss some of his lesson 😡🤦‍♀️ I knew he pooped before we left but still, I would be mortified if he pooped in the pool! But sure enough he did nothing, so back in we went 😄

Feeling accomplished! Got my 6 year old's new dresser built and got his old dresser moved back to the nursery. The baby's room is 3/4 cleared out. After our garage sale next weekend and we move things down the basement, we'll be able to set up the crib and rocker! Then all of the big stuff will be ready to go!

Ugh I’ve been so busy on vaca and unplugging, I haven’t been checking my pregnancy apps for weeks!
But my Panaroma tests were normal and we found out we’re having another boy!! (🤩😫) My son and husband were happy and my daughter was thrilled either way but I was a little disappointed. But I immediately went out and stocked up on all the newborn-3 months clothes! 😆 All cozy winter jammies since it’s a winter baby but also some bathing suits and onesies since we’ll be going to Universal Orlando when the babies only 2 months! 😬

So cute! I love to shop. I love to spread out all the clothes and just stare at them like a weirdo! haha

I was so supposed to have another visit with my doc this week but my husband’s way for work and I’m not dragging the kids to the app especially with Covid rules. So I’ll have to wait another week! Just relaxing. Waiting for my new Zelda game to come out cus I’m a nerd! 🤓
But it’s good to be back!

@laurabridget I laughed at the image of you spreading out the clothes and smiling

That was TOTALLY me with my first kid, and then when I got all the clothes back out to sort when I was pregnant with my second. I need to start buying stuff... and I kinda want to start sorting our boy stuff and pulling the super cute ones/unisex ones for the new kid. Maybe that's what I'll do today while nursing my sciatica - online shopping.
