Trying to Get Pregnant

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 22/7

    Timing: -4, -1/Oish

    Typical LP length: 9-10

Testing: with any seriousness, this weekend, with no self control, every day haha

R/R: I’m sleeping terribly lately. We had guests this weekend and although I only had a couple glasses of wine, we just stayed up way too late when I still need to get up around 630. Now that we are back to normal, I keep waking up in the middle of the night with insomnia and a lot of hot/cold/reflux battles. Hoping tonight is different, I miss sleep!

R/R: Thank god I started the antihistamine protocol yesterday and had benadryl to put me to sleep last night. *tw other person's pregnancy in spoiler*
Pretty sure I've mentioned that my mom sent a message in our family group chat about my cousin being pregnant and due in January. She had her social media announcement on July 4th ("burgers are on the grill and buns are in the oven!!" kind of theme). Just last night I'm scrolling FB before falling asleep and I see this post from her that starts with **LONG POST AHEAD**. I skimmed the first 2 sentences and it starts off with an aggravating comment about how she's been waiting for this chapter of her life forever something something whatever. That made me rage-y. But then I decided to go back to it because I wondered if it was one of those posts having to take the announcement back due to a MC or something. I kept scrolling to see how long the post was still not really reading it and at the bottom is a posted picture in black and white of her f*cking bare stomach. I rolled my eyes so hard because there's no bump to see at that point even for someone who probably is a size 0. And then I thought "oh god, is she going to be one of those super extra on social media kind of people posting all the f*cking time about her pregnancy? Ugh.

I'm half tempted to go back and actually read the whole thing because I'm just imagining it being really insensitive to those that have actually struggled and taken YEARS to get pregnant.

  • @inthewoods23 I am sorry that you’re experiencing that with your cousins pregnancy. I hope she finds some sensitivity and insight for her own sake and for the people in her life.
  • @mamanbebe hey, we're CD/DPO buddies! I feel you on the sleep thing, last night wasn't a good sleep night. I hope you sleep better tonight!

@inthewoods23 ugh, sorry you were subjected to that kind of posting, blugh.

    Month/Cycle: 9/8

    CD/DPO: 22/7

    Timing: O-1

    Typical LP length: 10-11 days

    Testing: early next week

R/R: stupid migraine didn't disappear all the way so now I'm groggy. And we're going to have gloomy weather for the next couple days with Elsa approaching. Blugh. At least I don't have much I NEED to do today other than clean the bathroom.

    CS/Q: holding steady, nothing exciting.

  • @mamanbebe is there something you can take to help you sleep? Hope your sleep tonight is much better than past nights! I don't even know if my feelings are justified over my cousin's post since I didn't read it in detail. Idk... I just got the vibe that she's one of those women that only define themselves as being a mom. I would not at all be surprised if that's the only thing she ever has to talk about now. I really only see her at Christmas so I just need to avoid the FB posts.

@fantasyflyte I forgot to ask the other day, what is it about cinnamon that helped regulate your cycle so much? I'm amazed and so happy how well it's working for you! Hope your migraine eases up soon.

  • @inthewoods23

Ugh that is beyond frustrating. I'm sorry you had to see that post pop up. It especially annoys me to no end to see pregnancy pics of a "bump" super early on. Like no, it's not a bump. It's bloat. Or poop, because you're so constipated.

@mamanbebe I hope your sleep schedule gets reset soon! Maybe a hot bath before bed would help?

    Month/Cycle: 1 AL
    CD/DPO: 21/8
    Timing: nope, benched
    Typical LP length: 14
    Testing: nope
R/R: FWP: today should be Thri-day (aka the Thursday before a Friday off). It's not (they took away our 9-80s) I'm upset. 😭
    CS/Q: nope.
  • @fantasyflyte hey cycle buddy! I’m not looking forward to all this rain either. I know we are technically in s drought but you still want to enjoy some warm summer evenings instead of shivering under a blanket.

@inthewoods23 maybe! I didn’t even think to take a half a unisom but perhaps that’ll get me back on track. Thanks for the suggestion!

@pajamstagrams Bath is a good idea! Especially since it’s freezing and rainy today. I agree it should be Thriday haha. I just want H to have another day off so we can get caught up on more projects though.
  • @fantasyflyte sorry about your migraine, they're the worst. Adding that to cleaning a bathroom? Ugh. Hopefully your cleaners aren't too smelly, or don't make your migraine worse!

@mamanbebe ugh I hate when my sleep gets all out of whack when we have guests. Hope you’re able to get back to normal soon.

@inthewoods23 she sounds ridiculous. Thank god for the unfollow/mute button. I hope she isn’t obnoxious throughout.

@fantasyflyte I’m sorry, migraines are the worst, including the “hangover” stage. I Hope it fully passes soon and you’re able to relax.

@pajamstagrams lol to the poop comment, so true.

    Month/Cycle: 4

    CD/DPO: 20/6?

    Timing: poop

    Typical LP length: 14

    Testing: not bothering

R/R: well we never ended up having sex again during the fertile window so unless there’s CD9 or 17 (O -5, +3 lol) magic, I don’t think it’s happening. On the plus side, I’m drinking all the coffee and enjoying some drinks without worrying about potentially being pregnant. dH’s rash is still going but a little better. They diagnosed him with an allergic reaction and I’m hoping he sees a specialist about it to see what he’s potentially sensitive to and avoid in the future (selfishly I’d like it to not happen again like it did so he can be ready to go during FW)
otherwise there’s not much to report on my end other than I need to get my butt in gear cleaning our house for my parents coming tomorrow and a party we’re having Saturday. But I’m basically just shut down looking at the list of everything to do, which is making it worse as I keep pushing it off.

    CS/Q: nope

  • @pajamstagrams you are so right. Frankly the photo looked like my own stomach. I wear somewhere between size 4-8 pants so I'm slim but I've got the usual fat on my stomach and sides and could easily push out my stomach to give myself a bump. I also didn't look at all the photos she posted from her announcement but one may have also been a "bump" photo since I saw one of my aunts comment "that belly!". It's so obnoxious lol.

@b_1029 hopefully right now she's just expressing a lot of excitement with being able to announce. I sure hope it dies down. I'm probably going to be mad if there's weekly bump progression photos even though that may likely be something I do lol. Enjoy all the good stuff while you can this TWW! ha. If you can, it may help to check off all the small items from your list first. Or even getting one thing done in the morning and another in the afternoon. You can get it done!!

  • @inthewoods23 the sarcastic person in me would so want to comment on the picture with something totally not pregnancy related...EG: "Oh dear you should def. get that freckle/birth mark/mole looked at!" Or "Tacos do that to me too!" Something. I never understand why people want to use social media as a pregnancy journal.
  • @inthewoods23 I'm not super clear on the specifics, but I believe cinnamon works similarly to metformin in that it helps with insulin resistance from PCOS, which can then help regulate ovulation. It could also be a total fluke but either way the shorter cycles work for me lol.

@pajamstagrams happily MH is bearing the brunt of the cleaning cleaning, and I picked up a shift at work tonight so I can do the organizing part of the cleaning tomorrow. Woo!

@b_1029 yeah, I'm mainly in the hangover part now. Sorry your timing didn't end up working out and fingers crossed YH is able to figure out what caused the rash so it doesn't happen again.
