  • @jackie_dunny thanks to you I now know there are state championships for voice skills!
  • @Marz1pan it was more of an overall acting competition with different acting and speech categories lol

@doodleoodle oof hope everything is okay

  • @jackie_dunny thanks! Just moving drama 🙄 I keep telling myself my problems are good problems to have in the grand scheme of things.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 19+4
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a mango (these sizes/fruits are so variable lol)

Upcoming appointments: AS next week 🤞🏾

How are you feeling?: Great, just love squeezing a nap in when I can still

Rants/Raves: we just spent a little over 2 weeks in Florida and it went so well! We loved spending time with family, got to do an overnight date and spend lots of time in the pool or bbq'ing

Questions: has anyone ever used an Ollie swaddle? I've decided to give it a go but every time I look they're sold out everywhere 😶

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? Being a stay at home mom (but just for a few years, I don't think I have the ability to do it graciously without an end post in sight). I think I would enjoy all of that time with the kids while they're little and my husband is great about "sharing the load" after his work hours since we're both technically working throughout the day.
  • @jackie_dunny Voice acting! That's so neat! I've done a little bit of voice acting (for school and friend projects) and I really enjoy it, but would definitely be intimidated to compete in it. I've entertained the idea of getting some training and putting together a demo tape.
@Marz1pan Food poisoning is awful even when not pregnant. Glad you're on the other side of that! Oof!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 21+6

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a sub (sandwich), lol

Upcoming appointments: Routine prenatal towards the end of July.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good, dealing with the nighttime hip aches as best as I can, and already annoyed at my belly becoming a beacon of unwanted attention from everyone.

Rants/Raves: My kid got pretty sick all of a sudden before this weekend (I don't know why but he always seems to get sick right before a weekend when our doctor's office is closed). He's still very congested and crankier than usual but I'm so glad he seems to have gotten through the worst of it!

    Questions:

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? Nutritionist. I mean, I'd need formal schooling to break into something like that, but especially after my first was born, I've become super interested in the topic of nutrition and how gut health has such a huge impact on the rest of our health, and I think (with the necessary training), I could be quite good at it.

  • @chartput omg that would make me so nervous as well! How unnecessary 🙄

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 22 weeks

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: coconut

Upcoming appointments: phone appointment at end of July

How are you feeling?: Good but my back hurts pretty often

    Rants/Raves: none

    Questions: none

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? I was good at being a linguist but I didn't enjoy it much. I would also good at a job that uses writing skills.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: arriving in 17w+3d

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: idk. This baby seems to like Persian food and sushi. 😋

Upcoming appointments: July 22nd. Bp check and an ultrasound

How are you feeling?: morning sickness is back in full force. Nausea 24/7. I wonder if I’m starting the pregnancy all over 🤷🏼‍♀️

Rants/Raves: we are removing the wallpapers and painting  we gave the job to a bunch of phonies  I’m just waiting for them to finish it and get the hell out of here.

Questions:mamas with c-section- I started feeling lighting crotch, except it doesn’t go all the way to the crotch 🤔 do yo guys feel a disconnect in lightning crotch above and below the suture? I dont seem to feel the lightning go all the way down

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? I enjoy the one I am at, and wouldn’t swap my career for anything else. But I recently discovered that I’m good at enabling cross cultural communication. Working with expats, I have genuine interest in people’s culture. This helps me in addressing slackers in a way specific to their nature that they do get motivated to do their job. I’m really not looking forward to doing that for a living.

  • @sthlm_21 Are you saying you feel pain above and below the scar but nothing where the scar actually is? I haven't experienced lightening crotch yet this pregnancy so I couldn't say that I've noticed something like that, but I have heard it's not uncommon for there to be patches of numbness where the nerves never really healed completely.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 22+ 2

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: coconut

    Upcoming appointments: Thursday anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: pretty good. Random bursts of nausea from heartburn, and occasional insomnia but otherwise pretty good.

Rants/Raves: I feel like pregnancy brain is still in full swing. I am so bad at filling out these weekly updates lol my brain swears I already did and then I scroll through and nope definitely didn’t 😂

    Questions:

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? Other than my current art job, I think I’d be a good therapist, if I was to go back to school it would be for that.

@sthlm_21 I haven’t had a c-section before but I did have a tummy tuck like 12 years ago and I still have patches of numbness especially around the scar, so it makes sense that the lightning crotch would be disconnected.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 20+1

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a banana

Upcoming appointments: no but I’m supposed to have my anatomy scan this week. They have not called me back which is annoying

How are you feeling?: tired. I can’t seem to get comfortable at night

Rants/Raves: not really. Life as normal

    Questions: nope

GTKY: What job do you think you’d be really good at? I’ve looked into becoming a lactation consultant. I’ve also looked into being a speech therapist. Maybe one day...

  • @sthlm_21 I don’t experience a break in lightening crotch, but I also never experienced any numbness around my incision.

@Starynightsky24 if and when we go off platform, let me know if you ever want to talk to SLPs about becoming a speech language pathologist/what they think. I worked at an SLP office before and know plenty of young mamas in the field
  • @mayoduck it’s exactly as @artsiefartsie described. It stop at the scar. I feel it tingling a bit below the scar. Thanks artsiefartsie for confirming my suspicions. Nobody warned me about this.
