WAYDTGKU: Letrozole & TI? PNV, OPKs

R/R: Ugh AF is here and I’m grumpy. I’ll be calling my doctors office today to see if we’re doing the same thing this cycle. Definitely going to do some yoga today to help with my cramps. No real plans today; I’ll be enjoying a day completely to myself which I’m very much looking forward to.

  • @gingermama29 I'm sorry for AF's arrival :( Enjoy the day and the yoga!!

    Month/Cycle: 14/1AL

    WAYDTGKU: charting

R/R: Had my appointment with the RE this morning. It was fine - mostly informational, but I knew a lot of the information already (thanks to this board!) so nothing very exciting. I'll be going in at the beginning of my next cycle for CD3 bloodwork and HSG. If I have one of my regular cycles, that won't be until the beginning of August which feels like forever away but of course it's not that far away. I spent the day reading yesterday which was lovely but I need to be more productive today. Maybe I'll try to get a walk with the dog in before it gets too hot.

CD: 14,267,457... just kidding its 82

WAYDTGKU: ugh a lot of stuff

R/R: Im sitting in the fertility doctors office right now and I’m a nervous wreck I’m mainly writing this to stay busy. But we just got back from vacation and had a lovely time!

CS/Q: this is my chart where ovulation dreams go to die lol

  • @fameonmain2 glad things went well at your RE. I agree, I have learned so much from this board! Hope you’re able to be productive today!

@daisy0322 welcome back! Glad you had a good vacation! And oh friend, I feel your pain and frustration about CD 82. I have been exactly there a few times and it f*cking sucks. I hope you can get some answers from  the fertility doctor today. Sending hugs.
  • @gingermama29 thanks Im feeling kind of hopeful but I’m also a nervous wreck I’m a mess. Enjoy your me time today! What a treat 💕

@fameonmain2 that’s great your RE appointment went well! I hope you get that walk in
  • Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: finally out of the ntnp purgatory! my trip is in 2 weeks, and i should o 4-5 days before, i need to check if i still have opks. and i go to the obgyn on the 19th.

R/R: it. is. so. hot. (it's so gross)

    CS/Q: nada
  • @gingermama29 i hope the day to yourself is lovely besides all the other stuff
@fameonmain2 glad you have a plan moving forward!
@daisy0322 i hope the appt goes well!!
  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: temping, CM, CP, OPKs

R/R: More rain tomorrow! But I got outside a lot today!

CS/Q: My OPK has literally no line on it after always having lines and having one this morning. I'm getting pretty close to both predicted O day (tomorrow) and my typical O date (17) and I don't think I've ever experienced a completely line-less strip, at least not this cycle. I've also not had a really dark one. So I'm not 100% sure what's going on. There is a thin black square that appeared at the top of the dipping area that isn't usually there-is that an error or something? I dumped the pee before I could dip again.
  • Month/Cycle: 2/3

    CD: 2 I guess

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPK

R/R: I think this is the best place to do this, apologies if it's not. I got so excited a couple days ago when I saw my BBT go up thinking I had this positive affirmation. Felt like I did all the charting things, peed on all the sticks, overanalyzed every bodily fluid, nailed the timing. It came back down today and it became clear the spotting was actually AF a whole two weeks early leaving me with a 19 day cycle. I've been down so many rabbit holes reading about my irregular cycles, and this just makes it worse. I've typically ranged from 26 - 39 days with most being around 33 days, but 19?!? Did I really just stress myself into starting my period two weeks early??? I feel a range of emotions from sad, to angry, to confused. What a stupid day. Just needed to put that out into the universe.

    CS/Q: none
  • @daisy0322 I lurked the IF board and am so excited that you seem to have found a doctor that is listening to you! 15 vials of blood is a lot but hopefully it leads to some answers. When do you expect your followup to be?

@anniemarie887 remind me where you're going? Whatever it is, I'm very jealous!

@SmashJam no line as in no control line?

@pinkkillersheep I'm really sorry your cycles have been all wonky. Have you talked to your OBGYN about it? PCOS possibility?
  • @fameonmain2 I've always told my OBGYNs and PCPs that my cycles are irregular but no one has ever said, "We should look into that" so I kind of assumed it was normal-ish? My sisters believe we all have endo, which certainly seems possible. Really what I think this means is I need to schedule an appointment with someone. I don't currently have an OBGYN because the last one I went to had some horrendous body shaming wall "art" in their office and I swore off the whole practice. I'm just afraid I'll get to a doctor's office and they'll send me away until I'm a year in to trying.
  • *lurking*
@pinkkillersheep if you have irregular cycles like what you describe, no reasonable OBGYN will send you away to try for another year. If they try to, it's a sign that you need to find a different OBGYN. In your shoes, I would want to get to the bottom of what's going on with that sooner rather than later.
    History
I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
    Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
    Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
  • @fameonmain2 i have a follow up next month but he’s supposed to be calling tomorrow or Friday with a medication game plan and hopefully a script. I basically know unless the blood work shows something unexpected that I’m getting bio identical hormone replacement therapy to force myself to cycle but what I’m really hoping for is that he pulls the trigger on femera. If not I’ll probably get that in another month or two
  • @optimistgardener thanks for the feedback, that's reassuring. I have about 4 years worth of cycle length data that I tracked just in case I ever needed it. Probably just need to go in with it and advocate for myself.
  • @fameonmain2 no the control is there but the test line on my midday test was nonexistent, after being there for my whole cycle. It's there now but my tests are getting visibly lighter as I get closer to O which seems odd.

There's probably nothing wrong and I'm being a snowflake, lol!

    Also-a day reading sounds amazing.

@daisy0322 glad vacation was great and sounds like the appt did too! Hope he pulls the trigger on the femara so you don't have to wait!

@pinkkillersheep sorry for the letdown and the super short cycle! That's amazing you have all that data and hopefully you find someone who will help you get to the bottom of it. I don't know alot but agree with the others that a doctor should be willing to help you get to the bottom of your cycle without TTC another year.

  • @pinkkillersheep I agree completely with optimist - find an obgyn that will listen to you and bring in that cycle data! Having such irregular cycles is cause for investigation and hopefully intervention. I had to wait a year to see an RE for insurance reasons but my cycles are quite regular and I can usually confirm ovulation.

@SmashJam could be a bad batch, or could just be your normal - after a few cycles you'll know!
