Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Wednesday 6/30

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. R/R: in a weird turn of events, I'm in the office today and DH is WFH lol. We have a busy evening but need to fit in HIO before bed since we didn't do it yesterday with DH at the baseball game. I had a slight increase to my OPK from yesterday so timing might be critical today.

    CS/Q: looks great 👌

  • @inthewoods23 hope your office day is productive and quick! How many times a week are you going in now?

    Month/Cycle: 13/1AL

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: charting

R/R: Today is supposed to be the last day of our heat wave, thank goodness, because all I want to do is get out for a walk.

**TW loss** (sorry I can't get the spoiler to just do these two lines) I was cramping quite a bit yesterday - not unbearable but definitely uncomfortable. I think walking will probably help since it seems to get worse when I'm sitting down. **end TW**

Tutoring yesterday went well! I'm hoping she wants to continue around 1x/week. I need to apply to more but so many people are looking for tutoring in the city and driving into the city is just.. ugh. I also have to decide today if I'm going to do 2 weeks of summer school. The pay is good, but driving to work in the morning means I have to deal with traffic and I am just so over it at this point.

CS/Q: I'm promising myself that I'm putting on my TD tonight.
  • @inthewoods23 I hope your timing works out tonight!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: pnv, opk, kindara, nac

R/R: I woke up with a UTI yesterday :| luckily I had one pill of leftover antibiotics from the last one and was able to jumpstart treatment before I got a prescription. I love the new reliability of telemedicine appts for this stuff since I only had to do a phone appointment to get a prescription. Whew! Otherwise, OPK is gearing up for a positive tonight so now I have 11 hours to butter my H up lol.

    CS/Q:
  • @fameonmain2 I’m so sorry you are still experiencing cramping and discomfort. I hope you feel better soon. That’s wonderful about your tutoring though. Are you planning to move into education administration with your degree?
  • @fameonmain2 this month I've been in 1x a week on Wednesdays. Starting next month I'll go in on Tuesday and Wednesday. August I'll start going in 3x a week.

@mamanbebe a UTI... Wonderful! Hope it clears out fast for you

@inthewoods23 FX you all are literally and figuratively able to get it in tonight!

@fameonmain2 are you on the west coast? I’m happy it’s almost over. I’ve also been unmotivated to go walk in this swampy, humid weather. I really need to just go first thing in the morning. Sorry about the cramping ❤️ Hope it lessens soon.

@mamanbebe ugh to the UTI! I hope the meds kick in soon and it clears out quickly. Good luck with the seduction 😆

    Month/Cycle: 4

    CD: 12

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM

R/R: well not to be too graphic but MH has a terrible eczema flare up and part of it is in…a non-ideal region for having sex. So I’m already kind of feeling like this cycle is a bust since I typically ovulate between CD 13-15. Oh well I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️ Of course this just happened like yesterday. Maybe our CD9 sex will work a miracle (lol)

    CS/Q: nope

@b_1029 not to offer suggestions where they haven't been requested but if you're feeling disappointed about not having more opportunities this cycle, and if your husband is still able to ah, get his own self off in spite of the poorly located eczema flare-up, all you need is a jar to catch the goods and a small, needle-less(!!) syringe to deliver them in the general vicinity of your cervix. Speaking as a veteran of many diy self-inseminations, it's pretty straightforward and does the job just as well as the old fashioned way.
    History
I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
    Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
    Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.

@optimistgardener I would’ve never thought of that! Also, cringing at the thought of a needle haha
  • @b_1029 Ack! What terrible timing for eczema, I hope it clears up quickly and that your O decided to wait a couple extra days!
  • @inthewoods23 I hope you guys get some quality time tonight! Always stressful trying to squeeze it in.

@fameonmain2 my mom has always claimed exercise makes cramps better 🤷‍♀️ hopefully a walk helps!

@mamanbebe ugh, sorry about the UTI! That sucks! I do really like televisits as well, especially since my Dr is 45 min away 😂 don't need to drive there to go over lab results.

    @b_1029 🤞 for some CD9 magic!

    Month/Cycle:1 AL

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU: benched

R/R: eagerly awaiting any news on my car . ...nothing yet.

CS/Q: had a peak opk yesterday afternoon after days of stark negatives, guess I have a real quick surge. 🤷‍♀️ Tested again in the evening and it had dropped significantly, and again this morning and it was pretty negative. All this means O is probably today, which means I'm back on track with my normal CD13 ovulation!
  • @inthewoods23 oooh, fingers crossed you get awesome timing!
@fameonmain2 I hope the walking helped, and I'm glad the tutoring went well!
@mamanbebe ugh, that sucks on the UTI. What timing, too.
@b_1029 fingers crossed your O is closer to CD15 and gives him some time to clear up! And seconding @optimistgardener 's suggestion. We're planning to add that method to our repertoire this cycle if needed, and we're planning to use the syringes that come with Preseed since we only use it externally anyway.

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon supplements, metformin

R/R: I feel so productive today and it's only lunchtime! My mom and I walked this morning and then walked laps in her pool, which was a much better workout than I expected and it felt great. Planning to do YouTube yoga tomorrow or Friday with her. Currently waiting on an attempt at fresh sweet potato fries in the air fryer, which I hope will be delicious. Also happy because the shirt I made yesterday came out really well so I'm making another one today.

CS/Q: EWCM yesterday might have been a random fluke, but we'll probably start HIO today or tomorrow to be safe.

  • @pajamstagrams Great news about your O being on track! Keeping FX for your cars safe and inexpensive return!

@fameonmain2 Ooooh sweet potato fries, so good! Hope your O shows up soon. I have no idea why, but I also experience the fluctuating EWCM sometimes, like this cycle, but it doesn't seem to impact O showing up at a regular-ish time.
  • @b_1029 and @fantasyflyte arguably it lacks romance but i have no doubt that the adventurous could find ways to spice the process up a bit.

@fameonmain2 are you a teacher? And what are you tutoring for? Sorry if I missed it!

@mamanbebe booo for UTI...but it is so convenient to do telemedicine these days, for sure!

@b_1029 sorry for the flare up! I hate when sickness takes us out of the game! Hoping for some CD9 magic for you as well!

@pajamstagrams yay for being back on track with ovulation!

@fantasyflyte go you with all your activity! The walking in the pool sounds amazing, its been so hot here!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: CM, CP, temping, OPK just to get a baseline (and now I'm totally downloading that app that keeps track of them for you, thanks to the OPK thread!)

R/R: My boss only sends emails on Wednesday in the summer and she's a super early riser-and I got some crazy emails from her this morning concerning another coworker's project that involves our new math program. So that's something I have to read and respond to. My rave is that tomorrow it's supposed to be 80, then 68 on Friday! I can't wait! I might be able to get a good walk in tomorrow morning before it gets too hot! Other rant/rave: I have heat rash, but I bought some benadryl and some aloe gel and both seem to be keeping me from itching!

    CS/Q: nope!
