Because it just seems to make sense to start this on a Monday? How was everyone's weekend?
Pretty chill over here. I was able to snag two naps because I offered to let my husband sleep in both days. Definitely a better trade for me, since I'm a morning person and I get so tired in the afternoon. The kids had swim lessons - first one every for the little guy, and the first one in 18 months for the 4 year old. We also made popsicles, which is one "cooking" activity I really like doing with the kids. If anyone's interested, this book is great - tons of interesting ideas, and some boozy popsicle recipes as well.
Re: Weekly Randoms 6/28
We had a great weekend - saw 2 movies while the kiddo was at gma/gpa's. Quiet Place 2 and F9. Both were really good! Now he's watching tv while I work. I am processing 2 book parties and getting things lined up for my camp that starts in 2 weeks. EEK! I am currently scrambling to hit my target number of campers, line up another camp instructor, and high school interns. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.
We've also decided to have a garage sale next Friday/Saturday to get rid of all of the stuff that we don't have room for as we transition to baby stuff. We're also using this opportunity to replace our sectional couch and console table, as well as get rid of a love seat we no longer want…and we're also going to replace the carpet in that room while we're at it. Date night at the home goods store tonight!
@Lisa3379, glad you're getting some naps in! Naps are the best! I hope you get your test results back sooner than later!
Baby Girl Due: 1-1-22
Spoiler: loss
And again, even though we had the embryo tested, it was still good to hear confirmation that it's a girl. Yowza. One major scary (for me) milestone down. I'll still be anxious for my NT scan on Friday, but not as much so.
