Let's hear it: how is your SO making you fall in love with them all over again, or making you want to plot their murder in gruesome details?

I guess I’ll start. My husband goes out of his way to make things special for me because he knows I appreciate it. He could care less but it’s nice to know he’s thinking about me. For example, we’re eating at a picnic table and he found a nice cloth table cloth and put a candle and wild flowers on it. And he strung lights on the trees. 😍

Awww... that's so sweet @paytonpedro. Sounds like he's learned over the years!

Mine is more of a "I don't understand what is the appeal in this" kind of tale. MH watches YouTube videos of someone who recorded themselves playing a video game/broadcasting on Twitch (or however that platform works). This is not a video game he plays, btw (he doesn't play them). I just... don't get it? What could he possibly find interesting in this? What is he learning?

@acleverusername MH also always watches Twitch, but while he games. Dual screen mode. And let me tell you, there is some... interesting...stuff on there. He doesn't actually watch *that* stuff, but I know alllll about the chicks in hot tub streams. To each their own I suppose. 🤷‍♀️

@acleverusername I actually enjoy watching other people play games. It's no different than watching a baseball or football game on TV or in person for that matter. It's just something to watch for entertainment. We've been watching a couple streamers play GTA RP these past couple months. Part could also be that you get to enjoy a game without having to pay to play it and enjoy it.

@paytonpedro Wow! That sounds amazing! I should tell my SO this so he can prepare it for me (although I'm sure it'll only happen if I prepare everything)

@acleverusername My SO loooooves those video game playing video things. I don't even know what to call them. He said it isn't the game playing but what the players say while playinf that's interesting? I don't understand, but that could be because my Chinese is not the best haha

Usually my day consists of loving my SO one moment, then wanting to kill my SO another. He does a lot of sweet things, but just really small stuff. He means well, sometimes I just want bigger gestures. You know, like a romantic dinner at the beach or something! Then half of the other time I want to rip either his head off or mine. Also because of small, not important things. I've been stressed about TTC taking a little longer, but sometimes it seems like he doesn't care at all. It's like I'm on the emotional roller-coaster alone. But I think he really just doesn't want to open up his emotions because he doesn't want to feel hurt.

Anyway, that's my fun SO rant! Feels nice to be able to share things somewhere people can actually understand

@mokamonster a dinner on the beach WOULD be nice. Where do I sign up? I’m sorry you’re feeling alone on the roller coaster ride. Have you tried telling him how you feel and telling him specifically how he can support you on this journey? I’ve had to force myself to do this with my H, even though I just want him to know. Alas, I’m no telepath.

@acleverusername my H watches these videos as well, for Minecraft tutorials and my son watches with him because he's learning how to play. Sometimes we watch my BIL play some Mario game on Twitch where other people create these super hard worlds and he tries to beat them.
