  • @BusinessWife  woohoo - thats awesome!  loved seeing your update lady!  Gd bless you!  You're lil one got all snuggling quickly thats great!  usually 9dpt they want it above 50 so you did great getting that at 8dpt!!

@andreamm31 thats awesome news! Are you doing a Natural cycle?  You're lining sounds great, mine actually went down a lil, so i'm hoping its nothing to worry about just yet.  Have a relaxing weekend away!

@JamieH2000 wow that is one long drive, gd bless you!  I don't know how you're doing it!  Being pregnant and car rides did not mix until the last trimester!  So glad youhad a good time!  Yes doing a medicated this cycle and I can't believe how much I forgot!  I was just confused on the whole protocol and no trigger shot, its just so nutty!  I think I was working so much I didn't pay attention to it all!

@mbradfo2 So nice Anne is able to have some fun in the pool.  Its too crowded by me to enjoy anything like that just yet!  Hope you're feeling well!

AFM:  I really have forgot how much longer a medicated cycle takes.  My E2 is almost 100, lining is trilaminar but seemed to be go down from a 6 to a 5, so that was concerning to me but not to the dr.  Headed back tomorrow to see where I'm at.

Well FFWD and they have asked me to be in the show!  And apparently it's a pretty intense show, like two hours nonstop, just with a 10 min intermission that could also be a costume change... #spoileralert I am not in good shape.  lol I would love the exercise and it should be pretty low impact I would think, which my nurse said was fine, but of course I can't help but wonder if it might be a bit TOO intense, given that all the rehearsals will be condensed into a month, and DH is sounding like he doesn't want me to do it at all because he thinks it's too dangerous and too much at stake. :/  I am trying to hear back about the schedule and talk to someone more about the physical expectations, but anyway... I need to give them an answer today.  Thoughts?
  • @andreamm31  Yay!  So glad your lining is looking good and things sound like they are getting on their way for you soon!  Eep!  :D  Enjoy your time outdoors and with friends. :)
  • @BusinessWife
My way of thinking about those sorts of things (intense exercise, exertion, etc during pregnancy) was:decide what outcome I would be most okay living with --
-- if you do the show, everything will most likely be just fine. You know that; I know that. It's logical. However there's that part of your brain that doesn't want to take the risk -- there is a small small small 0.01 chance that something could happen (like me -- haha- - maybe a big fall). What would I be more okay with -- not doing the show or having something potentially happen? There will always be other shows to be in. There is only one shot at a successful and uncomplicated pregnancy. To me, the answer is pretty straightforward -- sit this one out. But it's up to you!! Will everything be fine? I mean, there isn't a 100 percent guarantee but it will most likely be just fine..

  • @mbradfo2 So I spoke with the director and it turns out my role is not in the dance company.  So I won't be doing any dancing, like, at all.  LOL  Hopefully I can manage to walk across the stage and talk at the same time without falling off the stage???  But I suppose anything could happen.
  • @BusinessWife
You made me think of this:

I always have had a huge fear of falling off the stage, not sure why. Probably because I could see myself tripping and falling over the side; I'm  extremely klutzy with  horrible depth perception.

  • @BusinessWife you do have your hands full I don't know how you even have the time.  Only you can decide if you can fit it in...and hearing from the dierector what's expected of you.

AFM:  Everything is moving along in the right direction, even though now my body has decided to make a follicle on its own and with the meds my E2 sky rocketed to 1800, so I'm not clear on that at all...dr is still good with it.  Lining is ready and lovely at 9A woohoo!! So started the PIO today and we're moving ahead should be Monday.  Feeling like a UTI might be coming on so thats frustrating as it could derail everything :(

  • Well, Im out this month.  Weird little pockets of fluid developed in my lining and it didnt grow at all from last week. So she didnt want to continue with this cycle.  She also put me on doxycycline as a precautionary measure.  So I start 10 days of provera today and will get started with my next period.  Im bummed, but I also don't want to waste embryos in a bad environment.  And with my new dietary changes, this will give us more time to decrease inflammation in my body.  I recognize I just have to let go of the process and go with the flow.

@hopeful_mom Im excited for you for Monday!  Good luck mama!

@mbradfo2 Hope all is well on your end and you are getting some quiet time.  Did DD start her summer camp yet?  I love Serial too :)
  • @andreamm31 Sorry girl that you need to wait till next month. I was catching up on the posts and was rooting for your when I saw the post of the great lining.  But do think you and RE made a good call and best to transfer with optimal time.  What type of dietary changes are you doing to prevent inflammation in the body? Are you following a plan? Any tips would be great :)

@hopeful_mom- Wishing you the best of luck next week :)

@JamieH2000 how you doing and feeling these days?

    AFM
Yesterday was 2 months since the loss of the baby.  It was a difficult day but also promising as I am doing much better emotionally.  Physically I have been spending some time walking outdoors and have dusted off my kettlebell for some workouts.  the previous week my cycle returned and I am having a hysteroscopy next week to check out the uterus.  If all looks good then we may potentially transfer the following month as long as everything else looks good. I know in my heart I am meant to be a mom and this will happen.
  • @lmajin99 You are such a strong, brave warrior mom! Im amazed at your strength.  Hoping this next hysteroscopy will help you move forward to the next step.  you deserve to be a mama!
Im doing a no gluten, no dairy diet. Trying to decrease inflammation in my body.  I also am not drinking caffeine or alcohol. Im trying to eat a cleaner diet with appropriate ratios of fats to protein, etc.   The functional med practitioner also has me taking some supplements to help heal my gut and yeast overgrowth and help with my acid reflux.  I wasn't going to start some of them thinking Id be transferring next week, but now that I have a month before transfer, I feel more comfortable adding them in now.  I also have been drinking Chinese herbs specifically made for what I have going on to try and balance out my body since April.  I just have to believe this gives all of these changes time to take effect and help decrease my inflammation and balance things out so I will really really be a much better hospitable uterus.

@JamieH2000 I agree.  There is no way I would risk 2 on a less than perfect lining.  Im oddly at peace with it and hopeful this will be the time I need to really get myself optimally balanced.

@andreamm31 I’m so sorry for the delay. It is so frustrating but it is good that you want to wait for the optimal lining before transferring. This whole journey is one big lesson on patience it seems.

@Hopeful_mom I’m so excited for Monday for you!!!  Hope all is well.

    @JamieH2000 and @BusinessWife hope you’re doing well.

@Imajin99 I’m glad you are doing better but know how hard it is.  Keep taking care of yourself. It’s great that you are back to exercising. That can really help mentally.

AFM, we were planning a beach trip for the end of July, but wanted to make sure it wouldn’t interfere with a retrieval, so I reached out to the nurse. She told me to wait until the end of august to make sure we don’t interferes with the back to back cycles. Also learned I’ll be doing testosterone priming instead of estrogen priming. Has anyone done testosterone priming and is willing to share your results or someone who’s done both?  Hope everyone had a good weekend!

  • Hi everyone! So sorry to have been MIA - just catching up on everything. Being back at work and juggling childcare makes me feel like my time just goes into a black hole and I have no idea where it went! Little one takes a nap in the AM but doesn't nap well during the day - maybe 30 minutes max during which I frantically wash bottles, throw laundry in, and stuff food in my mouth. My mom takes her a couple of times a week so I can do WFH but man, it feels like I need another arm or more hours in the day. Or both.

@BusinessWife Woot! Congratulations!!! So excited for you! FX for an uncomplicated enjoyable ride for the next 8 months!

@Hopeful_mom I am crossing everything for you!!!! Sending my best!!!! C'mon lil embryo snuggle in!!!

@mbradfo2 I love that meme...I'm with you. I'm so klutzy, I really don't know how people even walk on flat ground in those dresses. I'm notorious for my kitchen accidents...dropped open cartons of rice and lentils, burns, cuts, burned cutting boards, melted pot holders and meat thermometers...the list goes on. I'm also a magnet for stepping in dog poo. No one should ever put me onstage.

@Imajin99 Ack, I've been so out of touch! I've been thinking about you friend, and meaning to PM you. I'm sure it's still kind of a rollercoaster for you right now but good on you for taking care of yourself bc honestly that can be hard work. FWIW by the time I did my DE FET I was so tired of being GF, eating well, and exercising that I had thrown all that stuff out the window and only really kept the acupuncture. However, none of that stuff is going to hurt you so you may as well try it and it may help you feel better - I really think my gut was in better shape with less sugar and more antioxidant fruits, etc. I think bodywork like massage and acupuncture are also extremely  helpful, if you can afford it. I also recommend an app called ThinkUp - you can record positive affirmations for yourself and listen to them. This was really helpful to me in moments of extreme anxiety and negativity - I'm not a real optimistic person, so I found it very useful to help balance my brain. You ARE meant to be a mom and you will get there <3

@andreamm31 well mothertrucker!!!!! Ugh. Dammit. I'm so sorry you're out this round, but you and your RE have def made the right decision. However, you sound really calm about it which is amazing. I'd probably be throwing plates at a wall! But I think it's awesome you're going to use the time to take care of yourself and be even more calm :) by the time you transfer. You're very good at the silver lining perspective, I need to take a page from your book. You too are meant to be a mom, friend, and you will get there! You will!

Well, Millie is starting to stir which means my hot cup of coffee will soon be abandoned and turn cold. My love, as always, to my fellow warriors in the crap trenches of IF!

  • @BusinessWife thanks lady
@Kp214 thanks friend.   I've never done testosterone priming so I'm interested to hear what it's all about. Where is your beach trip??
@lucyb1954 thanks friend....I think I just recognize I can't control everything and i know I want perfect conditions.   It's weird, it almost felt oddly like a sense of relief, like I felt this one wasn't right all along with that cyst and how fast it came up when I just made changes.   So I'm ok.  I didn't realize you were already back to work!  That must be so hard!  Glad you have your mom to help!

  • @lucyb1954  Thanks for popping in!  That is really great you have some help a few days, to get some balance.

<div class=" Spoiler">How old is Millie getting to be now?  I remember so well those days with DD with the mad dashes to do as many things as possible like a human tornado before she woke up again and needed me. lol  Luckily thought, the bigger they get, I think they may actually start to nap better, plus be able to entertain themselves for longer stretches of time.  Have you listened to Janet Lansbury's podcast?  I always get so much out of that, especially in those moments when I'm stressing out or wondering about ways I can make what we are doing work better. (((hugs)))</div>
  • Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all the good wishes, I have to admit I was nervous this wasn't going to happen as eventhough everything was going well anything can derail you!!  I actually went it on friday to double check everything, I was nervous I had the UTI and I think stressed in general. Had to see a different dr as mine was too booked..geezzz thanks! But I didn't care and wanted to be seen, if he was male and new! He actually was very nice and said I need to relax and not stress and of course I started crying! How can you relax during this process!! I'm doing acupuncture before and pray that will help me.  I asked him to do an US, every looksee he could just to make sure...especially since I was there.  He didn't think it was necessary but obliged thank goodness...so lets keep the good sticky juju coming!!!!

@andreamm31 hi friend!  Here I was coming to wish you luck too, sorry you're being delayed, but clearly you're good and have time to make everything perfect.  You're so good no dairy or gluton, I don't know how you're doing it!  I need to be a lil more disciplined in that department for sure!!  I really was triple checking everything as much as I could to make sure its good to go so I totally get where you're coming from.  My place is always so booked but I htink when they heard I was considering cancelling they fit me in...thank goodness!  I certainly hope this month goes quickly and 2 lil embabies with be snuggling in, in no time!!

@Imajin99 so glad you are taking good care of yourself its so imortant, really excited to hear you're looking to the future as well!  You will be an amazing mother!  I'm all over the place I forget to even take my meds on time its ridiculous!  So remember to be kind through this process and do what you can.

@lucyb1954 great to hear from you!  ahhhh the days of hot cups of coffee, few and far betwee but enjoy them when you can indeed!!  Mines a terrible napper and sleeper I hope things improve!  I laugh when all of a sudden I get a 2-3 hr nap in, I double check shes feeling ok!

@BusinessWife how are you doing? when you you go back?  Isn't it US time?

@Kp214 Excited to hear things are getting closer and you're actually planning to get away too, awesome!!  I wish I could shed some light for you on testosterone priming but its a new one to me, I'm interested to hear what it's all about as well!

  • @Hopeful_mom Hahaha, yes that is life, isn't it!?

There were a lot of reasons we didn't want to wait too long... With the coverage I have through my work, the longer we waited, the longer I would just be working a, "dayjob," until we were ready.  So in that sense, it didn't make sense to prolong it.  Plus, I gotta be honest, these past couple years have been cuh-rayzay, Obviously, and we just didn't really feel safe letting our embies stay stored longer than need be, just in case they made some crazy new covid stipulation or something.  Call me paranoid, but it was very stressful and weighing on our minds that as long as they were being stored, we really didn't have any control over what could happen to them!  Kwim?  So that is a huge relief, as bittersweet as it is that we don't have any more genetic kids in our future, we also don't have that stress of worrying about what could happen to them in these crazy times anymore, either.  That's huge.

    *Tw* pregnancy
<div class=" Spoiler">Mostly symptoms haven't been too bad, but I am exhausted.  I don't tend to get nauseous exactly, but kind of dizzy or something if I don't eat.  Or if I'm getting too tired etc. Also I feel like my brain is fried lol and kind of clumbsy or something.  I had bad carpal tunnel with DD, and as of last night my hands have already started falling asleep while I'm sleeping!?? Pregnancy is so weird, man.</div>

We just had a whole crazy fiasco of car trouble on the way home today too, that just has me totally wiped.  Tbh, I don't even know how I do it most of the time.  I kind of just put one foot in front of the other, again and again, and then before you know it, it's time to lay your head on the pillow and rest. :)

@andreamm31 we are thinking about Navarre, FL. Nothing is final. It may be later in the fall since my nurse said we need to see how things go with back to back cycles. I really think we could fit it in the week after a retrieval.

@Hopeful_mom so glad they were able to fit you in. Lots of prayers and positive energy for tomorrow to go smoothly and result in another little miracle. Hoping DD us a good night and morning so you can rest.

@BusinessWife that’s a great scan!  Yay!!  Hope the fatigue goes away soon. Sorry about your car. I hate car trouble.

My RE explained her thoughts for testosterone priming and thought I’d share. Due to where my cycle starts and how they want me to align with their first stim cycle of July there is t time for estrogen priming, which works on the FSH receptors. Testosterone priming is better for quality and quantity. I know it can vary from person to person. I’m praying this is actually the case for me.   Hope everyone has a great week!

    Hi ladies!

@Imajin99 you gave me a chunkle - thats fantastic.  My dr might need to be buzzed after my list of questions   :D:smile:

@JamieH2000 hello 2nd tri, i'm so thrilled for you and hoping the rest of the pregnancy will be uneventful, so exciting!

@kp214 so excited to get the show on the road friend!  Quality is so important, I wonder if the Testosterone priming would've helped me...I'm not sure the estrogen priming made such a difference but because i did back to back cycles I didn't always do it.  Praying its exactly what you need!!

    AFM:
Lil bub is on board!  <3<3  Was trying to post from phone but of course it wouldnt load so had to wait for my computer.

My journey of a day in spoiler :) and read through as I have a question after transfer for all!

heres the lil bumpkin!  This blast looks different from my previous one, not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing. I hate over analyzing everything but I do...its the nature of the beast I guess.

This is the embryo I'm comparing it to, which technically was a perfect 5AA but resulted in a negative.  Praying I will have a better outcome!

Transfer day...It was a bit of a mess of a day.

Even though I showed up way ahead of schedule we still did the transfer late.  To start I was doing pre and post acupuncture.  They didn’t have a room for me to do acupunture at first so that delayed us for a minute. This nurse was like we have 4 transfers today....ok and?  My place works with them so it was just odd that was an issue.  They had other rooms on another floor so again not sure why that hiccup even happened.
I was a pin cushion to get blood  😩😩 and and with no success the woman wanted to try again after transfer, umm no thank you!!  Once she started looking at my hands and every where else finally with a different nurse we had success...and this was after acupunctre prior t transfer so i felt like all my calm was now out the window. :(  The regular girl who normally takes blood was out.  And this girl was digging around for gold!
Heres a good chunckle for you all...
At 5am I emailed my dr asking to be in the same room where my successful transfer happened so many moons ago.  So I’m sure everyone got a good laugh when the dr forwarded my email on to try and make that happen.
And the nurse was like no promises, it’s not that hard use the other room for the person before me.  You had this info by 6am as she made the point of telling me that.
I know it’s a bit much but you’re just trying anything and everything at this point, so technically it was suppose to happen at 11am but it was more like noon, hopefully that doesn’t mean anything, as they supposedly sync it up with your ERA results.
Have my two pairs of socks on, had pineapple core, Brazilian nuts and mcd French fries.  We kow everything is so expense but I added some acupuncture back in for these next few days...lets pray thats magic ingrediant.

I'm exhausted!!  And had to sleep after, is that good, is that bad who knows, everything drs advise is different.  I will tell you this, how many of you relaxed after transfer where you were about to pee on yourself.  I know I did, however this time the dr I had said they no longer do that and studies now show its better to pee right away.  They say your bladder can spasm and the embryo shifts.  Who am I to question, I was hesitant, as I would've liked to have known this prios....I did it but of course nervous about it!!

    What do you guys think??

CONGRATULATIONS! @Hopeful_mom I always peed within a few minutes after transfer.  No one ever said there was a clinical reason for it though.  I also felt sleepy after this last transfer.  Hopefully that's a good sign! Fx
  • @BusinessWife we over think everything BUT the fact that I've been doing transfers all year its strange this was the first time they told me not to wait...normally i force myself not to move for a good 1/2 hr!!  Trying to stay hopeful and take my meds on time, crazy what a challenge that has become!

@Hopeful_mom yay!!!  Lots of sticky baby dust to you!  I have never had to wait after a transfer. I was told I could go when I needed to, which was usually within a few minutes after the transfer.

Just paid for my meds today and will sign for them tomorrow when they arrive. I had forgotten how expensive they are.

  • @Hopeful_mom what's funny is I feel like each place I have gone to for a transfer has a different idea about having a full bladder and peeing after.  My current clinic doesn't have you fill your bladder and have to hold it.  And they let me pee after I rested for about 10 minutes.  My understanding was the full bladder was mostly so they can see better with ultrasound on the abdomen.  Wishing you so much luck with this little bean on board!

@JamieH2000 how cool you got to do that!  Im sure your story really made a difference!  How are you feeling?  how far along are you now?

AFM:  I got my period on Friday and had my baseline today and immediately I got nervous because I found out my doctor is in Italy for 2 weeks so I saw another partner, who I saw once before.  She's nice and all, I just really really love my doc and feel most comfortable with her.  But of course, my baseline was once again not a boring one.  This time I have 2 follicles on my left that are 10 and 11mm.  Which is baffling because I just got my period, how on earth did they sneak in there. We wait a week and see what they are doing and hopefully they don't grow at all.  I will be so pissed if I ovulate on my own with these follicles.  I just hate all this delay.  I really want to transfer this month as long as its safe and a good environment.  I just don't know why my body is suddenly not cooperating.  These last 2 cycles have been so odd with the cyst and then fluid in my uterus and now follicles growing when Ive never had follicles pop up when im on estrogen.

  • andreamm31 Doesn't your body know that you're not looking to retrieve anything right now and they can relax!! Its so strange!  My cycle this time was a bit off too where my follicle popped up and growing that I wasn't able to do the transfer with my dr and had someone I never meant till day of.  Was I thrilled no BUT I'm also a firm believer in that I need to go with when my body tells me its ready!  I still think your dr will make it back in time, it will be interesting to see if they grow or go away.  Really hoping you'll be ready to go this month!!!

@JamieH2000 so cool you were able to do that!!  I do love that things are more doable remotely - its nice!  Are you still nauseous?  I wanted to test all the time BUT I also know that i'm someone that never gets squinters early so this time I was really holding off as long as I could.

@kp214- so excited for you to get the show on the road and get some great embabies!!

@BusinessWife  how are you doing?  whens the next sneak peak?

@Imajin99  thinking of you, how are you doing?

@mbradfo2 how are you feeling?  Did Anne start camp yet?  I feel like you had a place holding for her even though you already have the best camp at home ;)

So this is the longest I've ever waited to test, this was 7pm this evening...the squinter is there.  Would I like it to be darker sure...BUT my lines even when I was preggers with twins were never super dark so I'm thankful I'm in it and pray for a good beta tomorrow! The pink is the pregnancy test and the blue is an ovulation test, I use it as a reference to help mom see since that line is usually darker.  She g-d bless has a very hard time seeing the squinters!!

Below is from my last transfer 8dpt as well, where my beta last time was 34, I dont think the squinter was as dark.  You tell me ?

  • @andreamm31- how frustrating!! Does your clinic use lupron in the luteal phase for suppression? Mine does to help prevent anything from growing. I sure hope they don’t cause an issue, but if somehow they do grow that could be an option for next month! It’s got to be your time already to transfer.

@hopeful_mom- omg sooo excited ans happy for you!! That is a great beta. Mine this time was 54 at 9dpt. And you know it’s pgs so it should hopefully keep growing once it stuck! Did you find our sex this time?!

    afm

I’m hanging in there at 16 weeks. Still spotting 2.5 weeks after the massive bleed. The constant anxiety of checking for red everytime I go to the bathroom really scares me. I wish I could enjoy this time but I’m so anxious for any more complications. I am trying to take it as easy as I can. They are letting me go back at 18 weeks and then anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I just want to get to viability at 24 and then make it to 28 weeks with no more bleeding ans no pre e. Appreciate all your continued thoughts and prayers.
