I'm on the hunt for a good baby monitor. I get sucked into the reviews and can't decide what to get. I've heard great things about the VaVa monitor, but of course it's out of stock everywhere.
I got 2 car seat protectors for 40% off. And an over the door organizer.
I also got our infant car seat. Graco Snugride 35 XL at Target for $75, plus I had $15 off $75 in Target circle. We already have the click connect jogger, so we just needed the car seat.
Our house is small so I don’t need a monitor that has noise except when I look at it (I can hear him if he’s crying and I don’t like all the grunting that babies do in their sleep) but I like to have a camera I can look at to see if he’s truly awake or if I am in the backyard. We got the Nooie cam. It’s super cheap and let’s you connect multiple cameras (we have one in the playroom also). It’s worked great for us if you don’t need a constant noise stream.
I bought a bunch of stuff yesterday: my husband ordered like 8 pairs of Levis, and for my kids for upcoming birthdays and Christmas I got the big Crayon art kit, some Tinkertoys, an Osmo coding game, Lego storage cubes, Lite Brite templates, water balloons, and a sight word Bingo game. For myself I bought some shampoo and journaling pens - big purchases, haha. Still cruising around looking for other stuff. I was hoping the Halo bassinet would be on sale, but no dice. I'm pretty set for baby stuff in general, and I started looking at clothes deals but got cold feet.
@Lisa3379 my son really wants an Osmo for Christmas. I think we're going to get the Kindle Fire 10 today for it. It's on sale, plus their trade in deals are pretty good.
@magalina_h It's pretty cool! My son has gotten a lot of play out of the starter set, but I think he's exhausted most of those games at this point, so we figured we'd try the coding game. It might be a little advanced for him, but he can grow into it I guess. But yeah, it's cool how there's a lot of applications for the basic set up, and they can get more advanced as they get older.
I don’t know why but I’m still nervous to actually buy anything. It sounds like there are great deals and I’m sure I can return. Maybe I’ll browse tonight.
the only thing i got was our pack n play. it was about 40 dollars off so it wasn’t a huge deal and i’m not convinced it won’t be cheaper in a week. i think prime day is a scam. we had one but it was about 10 years old plus i like the little detachable dome seat on the top. i’m definitely buying the extra padded mattress that can go with it. we use it a lot since we travel plus it’s easy to keep in the living room rather than lug the baby back and forth to its crib every nap!
@laurabridget you're not totally wrong. Their biggest goal is to get people to sign up for Prime memberships, not necessarily buy things in those 2 days.
We also got the new Fire 10 plus ($60 off and an Osmo kit for my son ($25 off). It's what he wants for Christmas.
I spent way too much money in the last 48 hours. 🙈
