Re: STM+ Check-in 6/9

  • How far along are you? 18+1

Any new symptoms? Feeling more consistent movement. Definite up-tick in energy this week.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? AS scheduled for late June. I also recently booked a doula! Looking forward to having the extra support this time around.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 2-year-old

How are your other kids doing this week? We're in week 2 of potty training and I'd say it's going well! Still daily accidents but seeing definite signs of improvement.

    Concerns/Questions:

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Hmm, DH and I typically like to jam pack our vacations with activities rather than relaxing. Definitely in my calm, happy place at Atlantis in the Bahamas sitting in the sunshine and watching the dolphins play.

  • How far along are you? 16 + 5

    Any new symptoms? Nah

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? I think in a couple of weeks?

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 3: 5,4,1

How are your other kids doing this week? We are fully in mid-move. My oldest must be experiencing some anxiety, despite only expressing excitement, because she’s started having small potty accidents and sleepwalking. :(

    Concerns/Questions:

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? The mountains in the fall. It’s nice to rent a big cabin with a hot tub, and just relax and enjoy the scenery, and venture out maybe just for a nice meal or two.

  • It’s been a while since I’ve posted!!

How far along are you? 18 weeks

Any new symptoms? Starting to feel movement and  I’m pretty sure TONS of Braxton hicks, so that’s been fun

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? My anatomy scan is in a couple weeks

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 5 year old boy

How are your other kids doing this week? He’s great! He’s so excited to have a baby brother

    Concerns/Questions: none

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Hawaii...I love it there, the weather is perfect and the beaches are glorious

  • How far along are you? 17 weeks today

Any new symptoms? Weird “popping feeling” upper stomach below ribs? Maybe trapped gas is my best guess. Doesn’t hurt. Honestly thought my husband lightly bumped me with his elbow and realized it wasn’t him. Saw the NP a few weeks ago and mentioned it and she didn’t seem to be concerned. Notice it more recently. Particularly seems like when I’m engaging abs to sit front recline keep similar movement engaging abs. Otherwise kinda feeling backed up - which may be causing the previously noted symptoms lol.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Nothing since 2 weeks ago at my NP appointment. It was all uneventful. Next appointment is in a few weeks.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? I have one 2.5 year old who is being a monster lately, yay lol.

How are your other kids doing this week? As noted above, she is behaving like a monster toward me. Tell me it’s a phase!!!

Concerns/Questions: nothing, but curious is anyone else has that weird popping feeling I noted above.

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Hawaii for my honeymoon

  • How far along are you? 19 weeks, 3 days.

Any new symptoms? Kicks are getting stronger!

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? We had our AS on Monday and everything looks good, but had to come back the next day to do a high-risk ultrasound due to very mild dilation of kidneys. We were told that this is super common and nothing to worry about, she just needs to do some more growing and it'll sort itself out. I have a follow-up ultrasound 4 weeks from now to see if it's cleared up.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 1; 2.5+

How are your other kids doing this week? I would like to request a refund.

    Concerns/Questions: Nah.

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? This is a tough question, as I am the queen of planning relaxing vacations! I'm definitely not a busy-bee on vacation. I lounge, do the spa, soak up the sun, and generally keep a steady buzz when on the beach or in the water  :#
Probably visiting a Punta Cana all-inclusive resort in 2017 was my most relaxing.

  • @sliztee which resort did you go to? Because I had the same answer - an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana lol

There are a lot of them in Punta Cana, so I’m not sure we went to the same one! Ours was called Bahia Principe 🙂
  • @sliztee I know but I figured it was worth the ask lol we stayed at the sensatori

  • H ow far along are you?

Any new symptoms? 19+0. My gestation length was set back by 4 days in a recent scan

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Anatomy scan. Looked perfect. Looks just like her sister on the scan. We are over the moon to have a second girl. My husband actually did the dishes two straight days without me asking!

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 2y old

How are your other kids doing this week? I wanted to give her away on marketplace. That’s how she’s acting.

Concerns/Questions: brain is so tired to have concerns of questions…. 😴

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Our honey moon in langkawi.

  • @sthlm_21 Sounds like our two-year olds would get along fabulously. I didn’t even consider just giving him away on Marketplace! Silly me just thought I could return him for a refund 😂😂😂
  • @sliztee a refund sounds nice. Where do I go about it 😅 seriously if not for covid there might have bee  a play group of terrible two-year olds to send them to.
  • How far along are you? 19w4d

Any new symptoms? Just tired. In part because we are travelling and visiting people. I think if we were home and I could sleep 9pm to 7 am like I want, that would let up

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? 20 scan on June 20.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? DS 4 years old

How are your other kids doing this week? Four is proving to be a hard age. I feel like we are in a constant stand-off. I miss the patience i had with a little baby, because it's hard to apply in this situation where it's obvious he's being annoying on person.

Concerns/Questions: I haven't felt much in the way of movement. I'm becoming very concerned that come the 20 week scan I'm going to get bad news. Not sure that's in any way justified.

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? My parents had a cabin on Mt. Hood, and I used to sit in the big window drinking coffee and reading books while it was snowing. I want to be there always.

  • @Marz1pan I know it is easier said than done but I wouldn't worry about movement yet.  Depending on where baby is, how much fluid, or where your placenta is there are a ton of reasons that you wouldn't feel much movement yet.  I was feeling very light movement when he was in one specific spot but he has since moved and I haven't felt him in a while, but had a heartbeat check today and little guy is doing fine.  But I totally understand the anxiety ❤
  • How far along are you? 19 weeks

Any new symptoms? I haven't really had any symptoms this whole pregnancy. I don't even feel pregnant and I have been worried since I haven't felt any movement either and haven't been in since the initial 11 week appointment. I hate how everything says people who have had one before feel movement at like 13 weeks and I still have nothing over here.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? 20 week appointment in 10 days.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 5 year old, 2 year old

How are your other kids doing this week? I also have a 2-year-old that is being difficult. We are also on vacation staying at my mom's house right now so we struggled with the time change and different sleeping situation and it has been very hard. I was awake for two straight days and then the next night still only slept 3 hours.

    Concerns/Questions:

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Probably the outdoor lobby of this hotel on Maui. My husband and I both fell asleep sitting there waiting for our room to be ready. It was very peaceful with just the trickling sound of a water fountain.

  • For those who haven't felt movement, don't worry!! It totally depends on where the placenta is and how the baby is situated! For example, if the placenta is nearer to your skin (anterior side), it's "blocking" the baby, so you wouldn't be able to really feel them for a while. :(

How far along are you? 19+5!

Any new symptoms? Pain in my pubic area. ALL the kicks! I felt the baby moving before but not like this. It's a moose!

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? 20 week on the 22nd

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? N/A

How are your other kids doing this week? N/A

    Concerns/Questions:

GTKY: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Sitting on a ski slope on one of the palisade mountains in Montana.

  • @enchu37 if you’re a first time mom, there’s a check in for us as well! (FTM) this thread is for the second (plus) time moms! (STM+) (:

You hear a lot about the terrible twos and threenagers, but DH and I call the fours the fucking fours 😂 5 is a really hard age too though. Honestly, I think kids are just assholes for awhile until they learn how to be an actual person. Lol
  • @doodleoodle I saw a tweet today that was basically like "maybe every age sucks and then they move out." Thankfully the fucking fours (perfect name) come with really interesting questions and views on the world to balance the obvious love of a power struggle
  • @doodleoodle @Marz1pan I agree! Every age sucks, but I've noticed higher highs definitely help balance out the lower lows.
