Trying to Get Pregnant

    Month/Cycle: 3
    CD/DPO: 25/12
    Timing: good
    Typical LP length: 14ish
    Testing: wfaf
R/R: the end is near with my temp starting to drop and being crampy the last couple of days. Annoying. I seem to always get my period on vacation so yay 😐 in good news my hair looks so much better after getting it done yesterday, and DH is currently en route to bring me Chick-fil-A breakfast.
(Keep in mind my hair had been in a bun all day in the first pic, but wow haha)

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 27/10

    Timing: -3, -2, -1, O, +1

Typical LP length: 10 days, I think

    Testing: Not bothering

R/R: Started spotting this morning, and this is around the time I started spotting before my period showed up last month, so I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. Now just waiting for AF. (I hate the term AF...ugh.)

    CS/Q: None
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@awello I hate the term AF too 😆 sorry it’s impending.
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 23/8?

    Timing: Hopefully good

    Typical LP length: 12

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: My day today isn’t too exciting, but I’m looking forward to a Target run this morning. I haven’t finished my coffee yet this morning, so not coherent enough for any rants, haha.

    CS/Q: Nope

@b_1029 Sorry for the impending AF, but your hair looks beautiful!

@awello Haha, I don’t like AF as a term either, but it is convenient to type at least. Sorry for the spotting!

@b_1029 the haircut looks great!! I love how polished I feel after going to the salon

@awello I hate impending AF. On the day I expect CD1 I'm constantly looking at the clock. Sucks when it doesn't come until the afternoon or evening!

@abjm0325 somehow I have not had a need to go to Target for a while lol. I do need to buy a new swimsuit top....

    Month/Cycle: 7 AL

CD/DPO: 25/11 (had to check what @b_1029 said again lol)

    Timing: -1, 0, +1

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: I'm just trying to use up all my Wondfos lol

R/R: my cat slept at my legs last night and I was so happy because she hasn't done that for some time. Got to have our window open a crack and even though our low was 50, my BBT went up instead of down 🤷‍♀️

CS/Q: too lazy to go get a screenshot

  • @b_1029 very nice! It's always so refreshing to get a haircut.
    @awello ugh, I'm sorry.
@abjm0325 Target is very dangerous for me to go in alone. I have...difficulties...with impulse control in there.
@inthewoods23 awww kitty. It's always a warm fuzzies (no pun intended) feeling when our animals snuggle up on us.

    Month/Cycle: 8/7
    CD/DPO: 34/11
    Timing: O-3, O-1
    Typical LP length: 10 days
    Testing: negative again
R/R: 12 hours until my linear algebra midterm is due, so I'll be working on that all day. Yaaaaaay.
CS/Q: Still negative tests, yet no sign of my period aside from cramps 3 days ago now (which I've never had them that far in advance of my cycle, but whatever). But my temp's a bit lower so it'll maybe come today? My O date could have been off, and FF moves it to CD25 if I put in the EWCM I had on CD24 and 25, but all other signs point to CD23, including OPKs (they were not quite positive, but very close on CD22). Just waiting and seeing I guess. Although if it doesn't come by this afternoon I may not be able to keep myself from testing again.

  • aaaand there's my period. And if I ovulate this next cycle around the same CD as the last, I'll either get my period or miss it on vacation. Fun! 🙃
  • I don't know where else to put this, so I hope it's okay if I put it here. TW for someone else's pregnancy.

Got my period a couple hours ago and now I just found out that my younger sister is pregnant and I'm even more depressed about it, and also I feel really bad that I couldn't be more excited for her. And I think now that I'm going to have to tell my mom we're trying, because I don't think I can handle baby stuff in our group text nonstop, which I know will happen. And part of me feels jealous not just because we're TTC, but because I'm the oldest and I always thought I was going to be the first to have kids, and now my kids won't be the first grandkids on either side, which is a stupid thing to be upset about but I am.

    @fantasyflyte

    TW other folks preg mentioned
I soooooo understand that firstborn disappointment/ache. I’m 5 years older than my brother. He got married seven years before me, has three kids now. I wanted to be so excited for them for each pregnancy but it was hard when I felt like I was being left behind and I wasn’t even actively TTC when their first two were born. It’s always difficult to watch your life unfold in a way that differs from your hopes/expectations. It probably hurts more right now because AF, actively TTC, it just feels more unfair and in your face, even though that’s not the intention of your family.  I hope that you get beautiful news soon and can join in your sister’s joy. And if your journey is longer, I hope you’re surprised by how capable your heart is to love and be excited for her pregnancy. But until then, just want you to know I understand part of that heartache and it’s ok to feel sad.

  • @fantasyflyte Sending you lots of hugs. Life is so unfair sometimes and it's okay to be upset.

@fantasyflyte So sorry. Sending lots of hugs also.

  • b_1029b_1029 member
@fantasyflyte I’m really sorry. It’s all around hard especially when you’re expecting something and it doesn’t work out that way. Sending hugs.

@abjm0325 at the risk of sounding basic, any day involving target is a good day.

@inthewoods23 awww, I love when my cats snuggle with me. One of them rarely does and the other will sneak up in the middle of the night and then yell at me if I dare shift position 🙄

im starting to spot and cramp more so I am hoping my period just comes tomorrow and gets it over with. I need to go buy more tampons, forever playing the “will I need them next month” game.

@fantasyflyte hugs ❤️❤️ your feelings are absolutely justified.

    Pregnancy mentioned
Also, know that the second, or third, or fourth grandchild is no less loved than the first. When your time comes, your baby will be just as special to your family, and will still be the center of attention as a tiny newborn. ❤️

If you're comfortable, I would encourage you to share with your mom/sister that you are TTC. I've made the mistake of inadvertantly being too blasé with my pregnancy complaints, not knowing that others around me are struggling, and I so wish they would have told me earlier so I could have been more respectful. Obviously that's on me, but it does make it easier to know that someone is struggling so you can shift the conversation away from pregnancy in general. I've learned my lesson now, and will always just be aware of my audience since you never know who is struggling, but someone newly pregnant and excited may not have that foresight.

Also, ETA: please don't feel obligated to feel happy for her now. It's okay to feel jealous, upset, etc.
  • @b_1029 haha my cat does that too. Like HOW DARE I slightly shift. She gets off the bed almost immediately 😂. Did you ever look into a cup? Not that I would suggest trying that for the very first time while on vacation! 😬

    @fantasyflyte
I'm sorry you got that announcement. Life loves to kick us by getting that news at the worst times for us. I thought I'd have the first grandkid too being the first married even though my sister got married just about a year after me. And here we are 😢 so I totally understand that feeling! I hate that it makes me feel like my life is just wasting away while everyone else is having all the babies they want and happiness in their lives.

  • Thanks for the hugs everyone.

@inthewoods23 yes, that's exactly how I feel, especially being in my 30s and doubled with feeling weird because of being back in school instead of working FT right now, too. Life's an absolute turdblossom sometimes.
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@inthewoods23 yes I’m going to order one this month! I was too worried to try one for the first time at the beach haha!
