Weekly Randoms 6/16

This is literally the first image that comes up when you google "random." Does this remind anyone of putting your TV on channel 3 to play a VHS/DVD or fire up the Nintendo?

Re: Weekly Randoms 6/16

  • I finally got my blood results from last week, and they didn't test HCG or anything. Granted, the baby was measuring on target and we heard the heartbeat so I guess HCG doesn't mean as much at this point? I just thought it was odd.

Also, I have no antibodies for measles or chickenpox despite being vaccinated as a kid, so that's a kick in the a$s. I'll have to avoid little kids who haven't been vaccinated! Also, I had HIGH antibodies for something called parvovirus, which I have no recollection of ever contracting - although I did read that some people can be asymptomatic. It's not a good thing to get while pregnant, so I guess I'm happy I have immunity.

    Bodies are weird.

Isn’t parvo from dogs? interesting. I’ve never been tested for that but they ordered a million other labs for me this time. So many vials. Apparently my mean platelet volume is slightly high and possibly high creatine in my urine? I’m not sure if I read that one correctly, but it was flagged for preeclampsia 😞.

I also thought parvo was in dogs. So interesting.

I am currently in the process if cleaning out my craft room/office closet to start transitioning the room back into a nursery.  We saved all our baby stuff, and had been storing it in my son's larger closet, so it's mostly just swapping things back.

The craft room/office has served mostly as an overflow space for all our random stuff and isn't really used on a regular basis. There is SO much! I am so overwhelmed by all that needs to be done before baby comes. I really need a new, bigger house. *Sigh*

Most of what we're doing is just swapping. All the baby stuff in the basement will come up and the other stuff that I decide I *need* to keep will go down to the basement.

  • Anyone get thoae random times between sympotoms that you have to almost remind yourself that your pregnant?
  • Apparently parvo is a thing in dogs but they can’t transmit it to humans. In humans it’s commonly referred to as Fifth’s Disease, which usually presents as a rash and fever.
  • I forgot my daughter had dance class tonight- it’s the same dance class she has gone too for two years - completely slipped my mind until
    after dinner
  • Just finished watching WandaVision and I may be sitting here crying on my couch.
Also tried to make banana bread but apparently my baking powder, baking soda, corn starch and a jar of yeast are missing. So that was a no go 🤦🏻‍♀️
