Trying to Get Pregnant

Re: WTF WEDNESDAY 6/16

  • I guess I’ll put/ ask this here. My cousin just graduated with her bachelors (in science or something) and is planning on going into an accelerated nursing program. She’s having a(nother) graduation party. I think that’s really weird. Like don’t you just celebrate with your friends and go get a job? Have things really changed that much in the 10 years since I’ve graduated? Also am I expected to give her a gift?? It all seems very odd to me. Just me??

  • @paytonpedro I just had friends and family over for fajitas and margs when I graduated college, but I had a lot of family come in town for graduation, plus I have a lot of family that already lives close by, so people wanted an excuse to get together and celebrate! Pretty simple, I think. I honestly don't remember if I got gifts (aka cash) lol. It's been awhile...
  • @pajamstagrams totally get it for an excuse to get together and celebrate.
  • @paytonpedro I was the first in my family to graduate so I don’t have a wealth of experience but I didn’t even go to graduation and no one really cared that I graduated my husband did maybe he was working 80 hours a week at the time so we couldn’t afford to do anything or had the time
  • @paytonpedro I wouldn't assume you would need to bring a gift, but I guess you would know your family expectations best. I think for my graduation my parents took me and a few people out to dinner, but maybe your cousin is just looking for an excuse to see a bunch of people!
  • My coworker: *referring to the temperature of our office* I like it cooler

Also my coworker: I love summer

Dude sweats buckets if a room is on the warmer side, but is totally fine with summer when it can be 80-90 degrees?? Ok dude 🤨
