Re: WTO Weekend 6.12-6.13
WAYDTGKU: bbt/ Opk/ fertility tea
R/R: I just got an alert that I’ve been on the bump for 6 years. Such a long time!!
GTKY: Favorite summer activity? We are a big camping family! I’ve been camping as long as I can remember. My family has a cabin and almost 100 acres and that’s where we spend most of our summer.
CS/Q:
WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, vitamins
R/R: It's the first day of my three-week summer break...don't think there could be a bigger rave! Really looking forward to taking this time to recharge after a wild and crazy school year.
GTKY: Favorite summer activity? Hiking! I grew up spending several weeks every summer at my grandparents' house in the mountains and it's still my favorite thing to do. So excited to get to go back to visit later this month after two summers away!
CS/Q: None at the moment, but a general question about temping while traveling -- we're heading across the country to visit family next week and taking a redeye flight out (naturally, right around my predicted O day). Would you try to temp that day or just take the L and skip it? And any considerations for temping when traveling across time zones? I do have a Tempdrop but I'm still in the two-week learning period with it. Planning on chilling out and not worrying too much about temping once I confirm O, but since my LP has been short definitely would like to know how long it is this time around.
@paytonpedro sorry about the rough day at work
@trails15 I did an international trip once and brought my thermometer, and I had the best of intentions on being diligent, but with the 10 hour difference and inconsistent wake up times, and then I got sick, I ending up giving up. Anyway, I think after a day or so your body 'adjusts' if it's a big enough jump, but an hour or two probably doesn't matter too much. I had done some research into it at the time and I think I concluded ultimately it probably won't affect it too much.
With a red-eye flight, you're probably going to get bad data (aka it will read low) but you can always discard it later if you find it to be an outlier.
@THowellEsq16 I hope your IUI went well today! Welcome back after your hiatus; don’t forget to intro yourself in the Newbie Intros thread so that we can get to know you a bit better. There hasn’t been one since May 31, so you can do it there or wait for this week’s and I’m sure someone will start one this coming week.
@paytonpedro remind me what you do? I’ve quit jobs before due to stress; it’s really not worth it and especially during TTC. Your cabin on 100 acres sounds marvellous! Enjoy your getaway tonight.
@rachelredhead I would always feel a general malaise during FW so it could very well be the estrogen.
WAYDTGKU: IVF egg retrieval
R/R: My car got hit today; some workers who are working on the house across the street were trying to park and rolled backwards into my car. Luckily he was upfront and came knocking on our door. That and there were plenty of people around plus MH heard the crash. On the surface the damage doesn’t look too bad but it could be one of those “not sure what’s underneath the paint” type of situation cause I’ve got a rear-wheel drive. Anyways, taking it the shop on Monday.
GTKY: Favorite summer activity? Oooph, tough one because I’ve been moving so much over the past few years that I haven’t established that one favorite thing to do. Growing up ours was a big camping family and I hope to have some stability soon to be able to get back at it. Last year we had 3 camping reservations but 2 of them got cancelled due to forest fires. This year we were supposed to go 3 times as well, but 2 were falling into my IVF treatment window and 1 was canceled because of a water conservation project extension. 🤷♀️
CS/Q: chart isn’t really relevant this cycle but I’ll start sharing once my Estrogen starts to rise so I can see how much it affects my bbt.
