How are you feeling?: Feeling okay. I still have all the symptoms, but none are terrible. Yesterday I had a headache and my face hurt (like sinus pressure without a sinus infection) and I felt awful. Not sure if it was a weird migraine or what, as I’m prone to migraines.
Rants/Raves: Wow, 13 weeks. Doesn’t seem real. I feel like I have a little bit of a wall up still to protect myself. Hoping I’ll feel better after my NIPT comes back.
Questions: Anyone else having sinus pressure? I think I remember this with my first, but I’m not 100%!
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I listen to people talk, and try to help empower them to make positive changes.
How are you feeling?: Ok today! I am kind of feeling almost good?!? Had some cramping yesterday which freaked me out but was able to do some meditation and re-focus my energy. This past year of being completely out of control of my external circumstances has really forced me to figure out how to deal with my anxiety which is coming in really handy now 😹
Rants/Raves: Rave! I was at the bakery last night picking up a baguette for breakfast and they had all of their Sunday pastries on discount since they didn't sell them during the day and my long-coveted fancy pop-tarts were in the case! I guess the woman who bakes them sells them to a few bakeries around town! I was able to pick up two fancy pop-tarts and two fancy cookies for 5 bucks! BEST DAY EVER lol.
Questions: What do you find energizes you? I'm still dragging and hoping to turn the corner soon but am struggling to find ways to give myself a mental/physical/emotional boost throughout the day.
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I taste and talk about wine.
@rgn12 - I did with my first but I haven't had it since. It was so long ago that I can't remember *exactly* but I think it got better later in my pregnancy.
@bkjade that’s what I’m thinking too! I distinctly remember the first time it happened at work, and I was like ughhh this is uncomfortable but I don’t remember it being a long-term issue. Isn’t it funny how our memory changes?? Haha! I swear I feel like I have amnesia from half of my last pregnancy and the newborn stage hahahaha
also, your pop-tart sounds amazzzzzing! Now I want some pastries!!
How are you feeling?: I think my nausea is getting better, and I’m not quiet as tired but definitely no where near 100%. And I have no idea why, but I am having such anxiety about telling people/work that I’m pregnant. With the first two I was chomping at the bit to tell people, and this time the thought makes me so nervous.
Rants/Raves: Rave- DD1 went to the park with a friend and my husband took the littlest fishing so I have alone time after traveling with them all weekend. It is glorious!
Questions: Anyone else on baby aspirin? My doc told me to start it at 13 weeks since I had preeclampsia with both of my girls.
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I make the paperwork for people who borrow money from the bank.
@midwestmomma2 - I’ll be starting baby aspirin 2nd trimester too due to “possible antiphospholipid syndrome”. My practice already told me I should start after 12 weeks but that we would talk about it more at the next visit.
Upcoming appointments: June 8 plus an ultrasound sometime the following week
How are you feeling?: So nauseous. Going on 48 hours straight with no relief. Actually had to take a day off work.
Rants/Raves: The nausea and dizziness might be the end of me. With my first I had incredible joint pain that prevented me from moving. I'd take that a thousand times over
GTKY: I help people relearn how to shower, dress, toilet and eat after they get sick or hurt
@midwestmomma2 I was supposed to start aspirin at 12 weeks but I'll be starting tomorrow at 13 weeks instead just because I haven't even been home. The thought makes me nervous because there are risks, but I'm hoping the benefits outweigh those risks.
How far along are you?: 13 weeks tomorrow
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow morning at 9 am. I need to wake up at 5 and leave by 6:30 because it will take over 2 hours (without traffic) since I need to leave my daughter with my sister. Getting childcare for appointments is so complicated now that I can't bring her with me due to covid restrictions.
How are you feeling?: a ball of nerves thanks to random heavy spotting episodes. Still exhausted and nauseous. Hoping by next week my energy returns and I'm not nauseous anymore.
Rants/Raves: everyone was super excited for us yesterday when we announced to my family. It was fun! Nice to share our excitement.
Questions: I'm too tired to think of any!
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. Currently I manage appointments, phone calls, nutritonal needs, cleanliness and hygiene, and day to day activities. Previously I used play and sensory stimulation to facilitate positive changes and development in children to allow them to participate fully in daily life. I guess I still do that today, actually!
@rgn12- i feel like the headaches hit me in the second tri too! Ice packs helped me alot!
@bkjade- wow your job sounds amazing! But hard to do while pregnant!!
@midwestmomma2- I've been on baby aspirin since the beginning due to Pre-e risk. When did you develop pre-e with your girls? Were you on baby aspirin with the second pregnancy? I'm so nervous to get it again. Last time I developed it around 29 weeks and had to be induced at 33.5 weeks. Really really want to avoid the NICU and another magnusium birth again.
@scaredandunprepared- i am glad you are going in again tomorrow!! i really hope it is reassuring and that the bleeding stops!!
How far along are you?: Today I am 12+6!
Upcoming appointments: Not until 6/21 at about 16 weeks
How are you feeling?: Nausea is starting to abate some. But I have a new issue. I've been having trouble emptying my bladder, and last week in FL, i had to go to the ER at 5am after not being able to pee for 5 hours. they did a cathetor and drained 1000ccs (1 Liter), which is kinda the max of bladder, so I went just in time. I had this with my first pregnancy. its called incarcerated uterus and is incredibly rare. Essentially my uterus is stuck in my pelvis and cuts off my urethra. The only treatment is doing this chest to knees position (like downward dog) for 15 mins 3 times per day. It really does help move out some of the pressure. If i ever can't pee at all, I have to go to the ER again. Usually it resolves in a few weeks on its own. But that feeling of not being able to pee makes me panic. I still can't empty completely, but if i go every hour or so, i've been able to avoid the ER again...
Rants/Raves: I got my NIPT results back in 4 days over a weekend! As expected (because we did PGS on the embryo) no concerns and its confirmed a girl Best (least surprising) news ever!
Questions: Not right now!
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I help manage a big companies budget for their IT department. Very exciting/.

How far along are you?: 12 weeks + 6 days (13 weeks tomorrow!)
Upcoming appointments: TOMORROW!! Eeepp!! I'm so excited & hopefully we'll be able to get a great view of our baby bean!
How are you feeling?: Morning sickness has set in over the last week or two. I don't know how/where/when it came from but it's been definitely unexpected.
Rants/Raves: Got our NIPT results back and we have a healthy baby GIRL!! Team PINK! We're so excited as that's what we (both) thought our bean was and what we were hoping for. This is also the first girl in 3 or 4 generations on my husband's side. Needless to say, we're so happy. Also have a 2nd interview on Thursday for a new position so fingers crossed that works out!!
Questions: What are you watching right now? Most streaming services supported.
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. Hmm, it's always hard for me to think of this one. I've explained it to my besties 9 year old son as "I'm the principal at jobs and question almost everything the bosses do and make sure they do it right." Any guesses?
@scaredunprepared same! I was on it with DD2 and everything went okay though!
@JamieH2000 first pregnancy she had me on low dose blood pressure med & I made it to 38+1 before protein in my urine & getting induced, second we did the baby aspirin and I made it to 37 weeks before they had to induce. FX for you this time!! I’m hoping I can at least make it to 37 weeks, but the longer the better! I’d love to go into labor on my own this time, although by 39 they’ll induce me no matter what due to my type 1 diabetes.
@m@mommaduck2490 no guessed, but I’m interested in the answer! In my world you sound like the FDIC or compliance auditors 😂
@mommaduck2490 and @JamieH2000 congrats on the healthy baby girls! Glad both of your NIPT came back looking great! I’m hoping mine come back this week.
@scaredunprepared FX for you tomorrow! I hope everything looks great ❤️
@kats0727 I’ve been dealing with dizziness a lot lately too. I hate it, especially now that it’s getting warmer it’s certainly not helping!
@MidWestMomma2 I’m anxious about telling people at work too. I’m starting to feel some pressure to do so. Ugh
Upcoming appointments: Had a zoom appointment with doctor today!
How are you feeling?: I THINK I might be getting my energy back. Don't feel like I HAVE to nap anymore but still do. 🤣
Rants/Raves: My oldest is finally done with school on Friday! We can't wait to have him home for the summer! Sister sure misses him when he's at school and he sure makes life a lot easier for me!
Questions:
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I drive the kids everywhere they need to go, take the dogs to the vet, do the grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, the list is never ending... 🤣
So many appointments tomorrow! Sending everyone good luck!!
How far along are you?: 14w 1d
Upcoming appointments: June 14 (16 weeks)
How are you feeling?: Really nervous. It's been a super stressful week. We were dealing with mortgage issues yesterday since our house closes tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything gets sorted out but it was incredibly stressful to deal with. Not to mention DH is still in NS and I'm in Ontario. I applied for compassionate entry so I'm hoping they will approve that and we can move. All this stress has me nervous about the baby. Obviously it's not good for her (no idea if it's a girl lol). I called my midwife to see if we could talk about my anxiety so I'm waiting to hear back.
Rants/Raves: rave- I'm at the cottage until Sunday and the outdoors is doing me good. Picture attached
Questions: nope
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I count money and pay people.
@kaitcrystalline wow that is super stressful. Hope things go without a hitch and you're compassionate entry is approved. What a view, I would say that would do us all well to have a view like that. Enjoy!
Upcoming appointments: routine OB appointment tomorrow.
How are you feeling?: just exhausted, but no other complaints really.
Rants/Raves: got in a huge argument with my mom while I was driving her to the airport yesterday (she visited for two weeks), we rarely argue so I’m devastated, mainly because the argument was over religion and basically she thinks I’m going to hell and am not raising my daughter right 🙄
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do.
A lot of phone calls, a lot of research and writing.
@PYLWhammy wow that's a stressful conversation/ argument when not pregnant, so im sure your pregnancy just made it worse I'm sorry that you even had to have that discussion with your mom.
How are you feeling?: Super tired! It’s hard for me to get out the bed/couch.
Rants/Raves: Going on a girl’s trip next month & I’m the only preggo friend so this should be interesting! Lol! I’m just there for the food, scenery & pics!
Questions: Ladies, can we dye our hair while being pregnant 🤔
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I invest in children’s future!
Rants/Raves: My one friend is coming into town this weekend so it will be nice to see her!!!
Questions: Nope!
GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I make things look pretty. Manage teams to make sure things go smoothly. Make a lot of automated processes in CRM.
My compassionate entry was approved so we officially move June 18th! I'm happy to be able to see DH again after a month (almost 2 by then) apart but I'm sad I'm moving away from my mom.
@kaitcrystalline great news! Glad they approved the entry and definitely hard away from the family but hopefully times are easier to travel by the time baby is around *crosses fingers for normality by 2022*
@kaitcrystalline- I am so glad they approved it!! Keeping families apart like that is so unnecessary!!
