@bkjade that’s what I’m thinking too! I distinctly remember the first time it happened at work, and I was like ughhh this is uncomfortable but I don’t remember it being a long-term issue. Isn’t it funny how our memory changes?? Haha! I swear I feel like I have amnesia from half of my last pregnancy and the newborn stage hahahaha

also, your pop-tart sounds amazzzzzing! Now I want some pastries!!
  • @bkjade so happy you got your fancy pop tarts!!

How far along are you?: 12+6

Upcoming appointments: none until the end of June

How are you feeling?: I think my nausea is getting better, and I’m not quiet as tired but definitely no where near 100%. And I have no idea why, but I am having such anxiety about telling people/work that I’m pregnant. With the first two I was chomping at the bit to tell people, and this time the thought makes me so nervous.

Rants/Raves: Rave- DD1 went to the park with a friend and my husband took the littlest fishing so I have alone time after traveling with them all weekend. It is glorious!

Questions: Anyone else on baby aspirin? My doc told me to start it at 13 weeks since I had preeclampsia with both of my girls.

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I make the paperwork for people who borrow money from the bank.

@midwestmomma2 - I’ll be starting baby aspirin 2nd trimester too due to “possible antiphospholipid syndrome”. My practice already told me I should start after 12 weeks but that we would talk about it more at the next visit.
  • @midwestmomma2 I was supposed to start aspirin at 12 weeks but I'll be starting tomorrow at 13 weeks instead just because I haven't even been home.  The thought makes me nervous because there are risks, but I'm hoping the benefits outweigh those risks.

How far along are you?:  13 weeks tomorrow

Upcoming appointments:  tomorrow morning at 9 am.  I need to wake up at 5 and leave by 6:30 because it will take over 2 hours (without traffic) since I need to leave my daughter with my sister.  Getting childcare for appointments is so complicated now that I can't bring her with me due to covid restrictions.

How are you feeling?:  a ball of nerves thanks to random heavy spotting episodes.  Still exhausted and nauseous.  Hoping by next week my energy returns and I'm not nauseous anymore.

Rants/Raves:  everyone was super excited for us yesterday when we announced to my family.  It was fun!  Nice to share our excitement.

Questions:  I'm too tired to think of any!

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do.  Currently I manage appointments, phone calls, nutritonal needs, cleanliness and hygiene, and day to day activities.   Previously I used play and sensory stimulation to facilitate positive changes and development in children to allow them to participate fully in daily life.  I guess I still do that today, actually!

  • How far along are you?: 12 weeks + 6 days (13 weeks tomorrow!)

Upcoming appointments: TOMORROW!! Eeepp!! I'm so excited & hopefully we'll be able to get a great view of our baby bean!

How are you feeling?: Morning sickness has set in over the last week or two. I don't know how/where/when it came from but it's been definitely unexpected.

Rants/Raves: Got our NIPT results back and we have a healthy baby GIRL!! Team PINK! We're so excited as that's what we (both) thought our bean was and what we were hoping for. This is also the first girl in 3 or 4 generations on my husband's side. Needless to say, we're so happy. Also have a 2nd interview on Thursday for a new position so fingers crossed that works out!!

Questions: What are you watching right now? Most streaming services supported.

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. Hmm, it's always hard for me to think of this one. I've explained it to my besties 9 year old son as "I'm the principal at jobs and question almost everything the bosses do and make sure they do it right." Any guesses?

@scaredunprepared same! I was on it with DD2 and everything went okay though!

@JamieH2000 first pregnancy she had me on low dose blood pressure med & I made it to 38+1 before protein in my urine & getting induced, second we did the baby aspirin and I made it to 37 weeks before they had to induce. FX for you this time!! I’m hoping I can at least make it to 37 weeks, but the longer the better! I’d love to go into labor on my own this time, although by 39 they’ll induce me no matter what due to my type 1 diabetes.

@m@mommaduck2490 no guessed, but I’m interested in the answer! In my world you sound like the FDIC or compliance auditors 😂

@mommaduck2490 and @JamieH2000  congrats on the healthy baby girls! Glad both of your NIPT came back looking great! I’m hoping mine come back this week.

@scaredunprepared FX for you tomorrow! I hope everything looks great ❤️

@kats0727 I’ve been dealing with dizziness a lot lately too. I hate it, especially now that it’s getting warmer it’s certainly not helping!

@MidWestMomma2 I’m anxious about telling people at work too. I’m starting to feel some pressure to do so. Ugh

  • How far along are you?: 13 weeks today

Upcoming appointments: Had a zoom appointment with doctor today!

How are you feeling?: I THINK I might be getting my energy back. Don't feel like I HAVE to nap anymore but still do. 🤣

Rants/Raves: My oldest is finally done with school on Friday! We can't wait to have him home for the summer! Sister sure misses him when he's at school and he sure makes life a lot easier for me!

    Questions:

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I drive the kids everywhere they need to go, take the dogs to the vet, do the grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, the list is never ending... 🤣

  • @mommaduck2490 and @JamieH2000 Congrats on your little girls! So exciting :)

So many appointments tomorrow! Sending everyone good luck!!

How far along are you?: 14w 1d

Upcoming appointments: June 14 (16 weeks)

How are you feeling?: Really nervous. It's been a super stressful week. We were dealing with mortgage issues yesterday since our house closes tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything gets sorted out but it was incredibly stressful to deal with. Not to mention DH is still in NS and I'm in Ontario. I applied for compassionate entry so I'm hoping they will approve that and we can move.  All this stress has me nervous about the baby. Obviously it's not good for her (no idea if it's a girl lol). I called my midwife to see if we could talk about my anxiety so I'm waiting to hear back.

Rants/Raves: rave- I'm at the cottage until Sunday and the outdoors is doing me good. Picture attached :)

    Questions: nope

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I count money and pay people.

  • @kaitcrystalline wow that is super stressful.  Hope things go without a hitch and you're compassionate entry is approved.  What a view, I would say that would do us all well to have a view like that.   Enjoy!
  • How far along are you?: 11 weeks today!

Upcoming appointments: routine OB appointment tomorrow.

How are you feeling?: just exhausted, but no other complaints really.

Rants/Raves: got in a huge argument with my mom while I was driving her to the airport yesterday (she visited for two weeks), we rarely argue so I’m devastated, mainly because the argument was over religion and basically she thinks I’m going to hell and am not raising my daughter right 🙄

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do.

A lot of phone calls, a lot of research and writing.

  • @PYLWhammy wow that's a stressful conversation/ argument when not pregnant, so im sure your pregnancy just made it worse :(  I'm sorry that you even had to have that discussion with your mom.
  • Thank you all!!

@midwestmomma2 I work in Human Resources, lol, there's definitely a compliance aspect so not too far off!!
  • How far along are you?: 13.5 weeks

Upcoming appointments: End of this month

How are you feeling?: Super tired! It’s hard for me to get out the bed/couch.

Rants/Raves: Going on a girl’s trip next month & I’m the only preggo friend so this should be interesting! Lol! I’m just there for the food, scenery & pics!

Questions: Ladies, can we dye our hair while being pregnant 🤔

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I invest in children’s future!

  • How far along are you?: 12 weeks on Monday!

    Upcoming appointments: Monday!!!

How are you feeling?: Pregnant lol.

Rants/Raves: My one friend is coming into town this weekend so it will be nice to see her!!!

    Questions: Nope!

GTKY: Without using the title of your job, tell me what you do. I make things look pretty. Manage teams to make sure things go smoothly. Make a lot of automated processes in CRM.

  • @kaitcrystalline great news! Glad they approved the entry and definitely hard away from the family but hopefully times are easier to travel by the time baby is around  *crosses fingers for normality by 2022*
  • @kaitcrystalline- I am so glad they approved it!! Keeping families apart like that is so unnecessary!!
