R/R: Happy hump day everyone! Rave: Finally got a solid smiley last night! Rant: Did not get to squeeze in a quickie with MH last night AND forgot to put my temp drop on. Rave again: Did squeeze one in this morning before work! I'll take it haha. Not a whole ton to do today, but I'm giving a test/showing a movie to my classes today so I'm going to try to knock out some letters of recommendation. I want to be totally free when I walk out of work on June 18th!

R/R: I’m working on getting all the paperwork filled out for traveling to Italy in a week and a half! I’m anxious about forgetting important paperwork or getting a COVID test and it somehow not being accepted and not being allowed to board the plane. Anyone else get tons of travel anxiety before a big trip?

@gingermama29 Oh so exciting! I always get anxiety before a big trip. Weirdly, I love it though. It is part of the experience. I am so jealous you are going to Italy. It's on my dream list!

R/R: we’re spending $5000 today on TREES. 🙄 We have a huuuuuuge diseased ash between our house and the neighbors that requires a special crane to remove. And we’re trimming all our other trees and removing another one that’s growing into the fence. It’s SO MUCH MONEY for something that IS NOT FUN. 🥺 Bleh. Homeownership. Bleh.

@gingermama29 totally understand the anxiety. But it’s all gonna be worth it when you’ve got a gelato in one hand and a limoncello in the other (I’m sure that’s totally faux pas but I still think it’s necessary).

@rachelredhead Ohh ouch. That hurts. It is shocking how expensive trees are! Everything about them-- buying them, trimming them, removing them. We spent a bunch last year removing 3 trees and will be spending a lot this year to remove one more and then plant a bunch of new ones. It is wild

@fameonmain2 Yay for squeezing one in in the morning! We’ve done that a couple times over the last few months. It’s definitely my preferred time over staying up super late lol.

@trails15 I’ve always wanted to get the tempdrop. But then I always convince myself that I’m going to get KU the cycle I buy it and be out the money lol. I guess that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

@gingermama29 I’m so excited for you to go to Italy! I’m actually surprised that it’s allowed right now? But then again I haven’t been paying much attention to travel restrictions. I do get some anxiety around traveling. I always worry I’m going to forget something. But as long as I have my passport, everything else can be purchased there. So no need to worry. And if things don’t go as planned (which almost always happens at least once during a trip), those are the special stories and memories that you will be able to talk about for a long time afterwards. Embrace the unexpected!

@rachelredhead Damn!!!!! That’s so much money! I would maybe look for a second quote. We’ve thought about removing a tree that’s right on our property line too but I just don’t want to spend the money. Why does it cost so much just to cut down a tree!!!??

R/R: Ahhhh…. Just being a @kgg2241 and googling everything. I’m just feeling super impatient right now. But also very hopeful for this cycle. Nothing really new going on… It’s super hot out and I’m loving it. MH keeps turning the air down and I keep turning it up, which causes this never ending fight between us lol.

@rachelredhead ughh that sounds awful! What a pain to deal with (and holy expensive!!).

@LJMoon6 It feels weird to be traveling during a pandemic but we have a ton of health requirements we have to meet before being able to travel. We’re flying in a covid tested flight meaning that every single person on board has to have a negative test 48 hours prior to boarding, and we have to get another test upon landing in Rome (which lets us avoid having to quarantine). Masks are required at all times and we’re completely vaccinated on top of everything so I feel like we’re being as safe and responsible as possible. We’re staying with my brother so I’m not too worried about forgetting anything there - it’s more the paperwork and health requirements to get there that have me anxious. I’m glad you’re loving the heat. I can’t deal with it -I hate being hot!

@ginergmama29 I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to imply that you shouldn’t be traveling! I think the precautions that are in place, along with the vaccines, there’s absolutely nothing wrong this traveling if you are comfortable with it. So your brother lives in Italy?? Tell me more?!

@LJMoon6 oh no worries!! I didn’t take it that way at all! Yes my brother lives there. He’s in the military and that’s his current station. He moved there last year but he’s lived all over the globe. I’m jealous of his ability to travel and see the world!

@LJMoon6 that was exactly how I felt about it and why I didn't spring for it until now...but finally figured I'll either be happy I spent the money and sleep better or I'll be happy that I got KU. Nothing like finding a way to spin something as a win/win to justify a pricey purchase!

@gingermama29 also totally feel you on the travel anxiety but it will definitely be worth it in the end!!
