Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Tuesday 6.8

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. CD/DPO: 17/3

    Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 13 days

    Testing: next week

R/R: I hope to be more productive today. I was not great about getting work done yesterday. Bleh. Case of the Mondays I guess? I don't have a haircut schedule for another month and my bangs have been long AF for weeks now so I cut them myself this morning. At first I thought it was total crap, but once I dried them it turned out okay. Phew.

  • I go here! I think. 🤪

    Month/Cycle: 0 AL

    CD/DPO: 20/3

    Timing: n/a, benched

Typical LP length: 14, but I expect much shorter this month

    Testing: n/a

R/R: booked our beach house! Now to decide whether or not to get travel insurance because a beach house during hurricane season is dicey...I also looked at FFs "planner" and there's a good chance I'll get my period during our vacation 🙄 of course I can't assume anything since my cycles are going to be weird and unpredictable for a while, but that was a disappointing discovery.

CS/Q:  would you guys agree that I did ovulate on CD17? My temp shift is kinda weak, but it aligns with my usual CM patterns. It looks like I might have just missed the surge with the OPKs. I have no idea what is typical for me, this is the first time I've used OPKs and this cycle is screwy anyway. (Dotted CH are because OPKs conflict with other signs)

  • @inthewoods23 oh man, that's brave to cut your own bangs! Glad they turned okay!

@inthewoods23 same. Cheers to productivity today! You are brave to cut your own bangs!

    Month/Cycle: 3

    CD/DPO: 17/4?

    Timing: 👍🏻

    Typical LP length: 14ish

    Testing: end of next week

R/R: nothing one way or the other. We have volleyball tonight which I’m excited about, but my excitement lasts like 5 minutes because I’m too competitive but also bad. Not a good combination 😆 I’m treating myself to Starbucks today because I made it to the gym this morning so I’m hoping it’s the kick in the butt I need to not waste another day of work.

CS/Q: if I change my temp on CD 15 it gives me CH on CD 13. Wonder if another high temp tomorrow will give me CH but will probably be for a different CD.
    Edit- fix spoiler

  • b_1029b_1029 member
@pajamstagrams I’m not the best at chart interpretation but I’d agree with CD 17!
  • @b_1029 if you have another high temp it will probably be a CD 15 ovulation, but maybe dotted because it won't align with OPKs? I wonder if cd15 was just a fluke temp too. Sometimes mine are lower because I don't shut my mouth when I temp because I've already fallen back asleep 😂
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@pajamstagrams yea that’s what I’m thinking with Cd 15. I was kind of rolling around in bed before I took my temp so I was surprised it was so low that day! Must’ve been sleeping with the covers off haha who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • @inthewoods23 glad your bangs came out well!
@pajamstagrams beach house sounds fun! I'm so ready for a real vacation after the last couple years.
@b_1029 given all the other data, CD13 sounds reasonable to me.

    Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD/DPO: 26/3

    Timing: O-3, O-1

    Typical LP length: 10-11 days

    Testing: next Tuesday maybe

R/R: it's hot again, but we might get some storms later. I'm crossing my fingers that my back doesn't hurt a bunch today. I took Aleve for about a week and that almost kicked it to the curb finally, but now that I'm in the TWW I don't want to take any anti-inflammatories, and it bothered me a lot yesterday. 🙃

CS/Q: nothing exciting, but I'm happy to have such a definite temp shift.

  • @pajamstagrams I agree that CD17 makes sense! IIRC, the shift only needs to be 0.3 degrees or something plus sustaining that shift.

@b_1029 have fun with volleyball! Sometimes I'm in a "just here to have fun mood" with sports and another times I get so frustrated when losing. That's more often than not because the play isn't fair or because who you're playing is on a whole other level of skill. The last time I went through a bad case of "I don't want to play this anymore" was doing tactical laser tag with some coworkers. Not your traditional sport but whatever lol. The other team had a guy who basically played at this place almost every day since it opened or something and he could position himself in a hard to see spot but had perfect line of sight to the opening of our base so if you got killed and had to respawn back at base, more than half the time you'd end up dead the moment you stepped out. I was 2 seconds from walking out I was getting so mad. I had the same feelings playing Halo on Xbox the first time. How can I get better at the game if you're killing me all the time? Ugh. I have been thinking about treating myself to Starbucks for like the last week and haven't gotten my butt out to go get it  :D

@inthewoods23 do ittttt! But I guess they’re having a shortage of a lot of stuff right now? I read an article where some locations are using like smuckers caramel and store bought lemonade to try and keep up with demand 😆
  • @b_1029 I did see that! There's a ton of that going around everywhere with shortages. I haven't read through any articles, but it's not even covid related I think? Or it is indirectly covid related because there's a worker shortage.

  • Month/Cycle: 7/6
    CD/DPO: 27
Timing: honestly, no clue, ntnp this month and next due to travel
Typical LP length: 14ish, not symptom spotting bc i am fairly certain based on timing there is no way in hell... but weird i have no signs of AF coming
    Testing: doubtful
R/R: we have been so bad about meal planning, like so bad... and then i started rummaging thru the freezer/pantry of the covid fear buying and we gotta put a dent in some of the nonperishable stuff. it's to the point where we are getting carryout enough that neither of us even craves something.
    CS/Q: nada

@inthewoods23 i have been known to trim my own bangs in the past, glad it was a success!
    @pajamstagrams yay for vacation!
@b_1029 oh god i'm terrible at any team sport that needs hand eye coordination! god on you for still doing it, i don't even try!
@fantasyflyte yea, hot and gloomy-ish here. and it doesn't look like the rain is going to cool anything off really. i also feel like i don't know how to dress now... i took my office pretty casual (jeans) but it's too hot now, and i'm pack in like my work dress and just not feeling it.

  • Im probably going to post and ghost I don’t feel well today

    Month/Cycle: 4/2

    CD/DPO: 53/?

    Timing: ?

    Typical LP length: ?

Testing: called a NaPro doc today they can get me in next month

R/R: my stomach is just not great today and I really just want to lay down

CS/Q: My OPKs are super duper positive again so I’m going to try and rally to BD tonight just in case. I’m thinking about just not posting on the dailies anymore too- I just have no idea what’s going on
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@daisy0322 :( hope you feel better.

@anniemarie887 we’re so bad about it too. We have a few frozen things we could make but keep getting takeout instead.
