Trying to Get Pregnant

Monday B*tchfest 6.7

How’s your Monday going?

Re: Monday B*tchfest 6.7

  • This is random and probably hard to follow but what the heck. I got right ear re-pierced a few weeks ago because it was super uneven from my left piercing (I got them done originally when I was 12). Well out of habit the lady put a new earring in my left ear too. The type with the wide nailhead(?) back. I couldn't figure out how to take it out, so I figured I'd just take it out when my right ear healed. It caught on something last night and freaking ripped through my ear. I put a new earring in and the hole seems a bit lower now (though maybe it is my head). So I guess getting my right ear re-pierced was all for nothing :s

  • @kgg2241 Ouch!! Sorry that happened. What a crazy random set of events. I hope your ear heals ok!
  • @keikilove thanks! I think it will be okay haha. I'm just dramatic and it felt like a big deal at the time.
  • @acleverusername wow that was so rude of him (the plumber)! There is definitely a polite way to say that the 9-10 was a window of arrival (if that's what it was) and then to explain the repairs would take a bit longer. What an ass!
  • I need to complain to more people than just my coworkers about this because UGH :D . This is why I hate talking with our customers.

So we manufacture a product. We purchase a component for said product from another manufacturer. This purchased component contains a number of screws. Every so often a screw gets lost or comes loose in transit so we get asked by a customer either for the screw itself or the component so that they can just steal the screws off it. Well this particular customer needs these screws like, yesterday, so we can't just ship them the component as that will take a few days. I have had 2 people call on the same issue and they're asking me for the exact screw that's used. It's length, thread count, and size. The first guy was reasonable. I suggested going to the hardware store but that wouldn't be fast enough I guess. In the end he decided he'd check their inventory to see if he had another one of our products that uses this same component and steal the screws off it to satisfy this customer. A little while later I'm now talking to some lady about this and because I'm like "wtf I just talked to somebody about all this. I don't f*cking know all the specifics about this screw" I'm a bit short with her. Like lady, just because you ask more times and tell me that we're supposed to have this information for regulations/audits does not make that information just magically appear. Why in the world would we have this information if it's not even something we make? It's like asking a car manufacturer for a detail about the engine that goes in your vehicle. They don't know! They just buy the engine!
