  • Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD: 23

WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, cm, cinnamon supplements

R/R: Going to my parents' after work to celebrate my dad's bday and swim since it's going to be 90F/32C today.

CS/Q: Got 2 not-quite-positive opks yesterday afternoon and evening, so I'm expect O is today, which makes me feel really good about our timing, especially if we manage one more time tonight (iffy given my husband's workday today).

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird? Growing up, my dad routinely made us scrambled eggs with sliced hot dogs in them. I did not know this was uncommon until a high school teacher told a story of being overseas on July 4, and their hotel trying to give them an American breakfast by making scrambled eggs with hot dogs. The rest of my class was like "lol off the mark there, what a weird combo" and I'm sitting here like "wait not everyone eats that?"

@fantasyflyte that’s great timing! Hope you’re able to get one more in if possible. Have a good time swimming! It’s so humid here today, a pool sounds fantastic. I’ve never heard of hot dogs and eggs but that honestly doesn’t sound bad to me 😆

R/R: i may have ovulated yesterday? Or today? Not sure but I’m going to stick around here till it’s confirmed. It’s super humid/hot here today and I am just thankful for AC. I would’ve been a terrible pioneer haha. My mom is on her way here so hopefully we have a fun short visit this weekend.

CS/Q: i couldn’t decide if I should put HIO today or yesterday since it was past midnight 😂

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird? Macaroni and ketchup? MH thinks I’m weird, not sure if that’s a common opinion or not haha
  • @fantasyflyte bahaha I think eggs & hotdogs are a weird combo, but then again, I don't like either food so I'm a bad judge.  But I have heard of it before!

    🤞your O is today!

    Month/Cycle: 0 AL

WAYDTGKU: benched, but bbt/cm, and trying opk until my cycles re-regulate

R/R: my opks came in today!

CS/Q: nope. Negative opk so I'm guessing O is not happening soon.

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird?
Man, I can't think of anything right now. When I do make fruit smoothies, I like putting almond or peanut butter in them? Although I think a lot of people do that haha. I also like grapefruit and rosemary together!

  • @pajamstagrams I'm intrigued by the grapefruit rosemary combo. I feel like I would like that. How do you mix them? Maybe a cocktail?

@b_1029 my family does Macaroni and ketchup too! And yes, thank goodness for AC 🙌.

@fantasyflyte it does look like your timing will be spot on whether you get one more time in or not! Fx. I hope the pool is fun tonight!

R/R: I can finally stop talking about my sister's bridal shower. It turned out really well! Now I can relax. Rant: It is so hot here right now, especially for this early in the summer. I hate it 😭. It's gonna be a long summer.
    CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird? For a food combo that a lot of people tell me is weird -- I love sardines with cream cheese on crackers. I don't think it's weird but I've learned that a lot of people do lol.
  • @kgg2241 yes, I've done it with cocktails (gin), but my favorite is n/a: just rosemary simple syrup + grapefruit juice + topo chico.

Glad the shower is done and went well!

@b_1029 our poor AC can't keep up with humidity. I bought a gauge, and our house is constantly over 60%, and we keep it in the low 70s. 🤷‍♀️ I have no desire to live anywhere without ac at this point.
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@kgg2241 I’m happy to hear the shower went well! Agreed on the weather, it’s barely even June, slow down heat! Very interesting on sardines. I can’t make myself eat them. But put almost anything on cream cheese and I might 😆

@pajamstagrams my old apartment didn’t have AC but luckily I met DH in March of that year and we started dating by the time it got really hot, so I started staying at his place for the AC 😅 I would never move anywhere without it either now. Too crabby without it. I also put PB in my smoothies pretty much regardless of what else is in it!
  • b_1029b_1029 member
Well idk what the heck this is all about, maybe I was cold? I was hoping today’s temp would tell me if I ovulated or not but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hope everyone has a good rest of the weekend!

  • @b_1029 maybe O is today? I've had a temp dip the day of or before O in the past.
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@fantasyflyte if so, I need to jump MH 😆
  • @b_1029 could be a fallback rise of your temp jumps back up tomorrow

R/R: our weather is finally gorgeous here! It makes the long 7+ months of winter worth it! It’s currently sunny and 85 and I’m watching my husband wash our camper 😍😍

CS/Q: I do have a question. Anyone here deal with a luteal phase defect? I know I have it but we weren’t ttc when diagnosed so my dr just recommended bc. She did say she has it as well and used acupuncture which helped her. I guess my question is how are you managing it? And how short it really too short?

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird?
I put vinegar in my beef stew and my husband thinks I’m disgusting. I put it in after it’s cooked and can’t eat it without it.

@fantasyflyte we actually have a restaurant by us that serves an omelet with hot dogs (and hotdog sauce). They’re like one of those open 24-hrs, serves hot dogs and burgers, and breakfast, only tastes good when it’s 2am and you’re drunk kinda places lol. Full disclosure, I’ve never tried the omelet lol.

@b_1029 if it’s after midnight, I always put it for the next day as am. I got by 24 hours. I don’t think it matters as long as you do it consistently. Do you put ketchup on Mac n cheese? Or just like plain pasta? My sister puts it in Mac n cheese so that ones not so weird to me.

@pajamstagrams & @kgg2241 the grapefruit and rosemary cocktail sounds great! Even the na version!

  • @paytonpedro I have low progesterone in luteal phase, so I've always been on progesterone even when not TTC. Progesterone doesn't really affect my LP length--my body does what it does, and always has (even on the pill I had <28 day cycles), and I've started my period many times while still taking progesterone, but I do normally have 13-14 day LP so it's not a big issue for me. I think you want to see a luteal phase of at least 11 days, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong! I thought that's what I read somewhere.
  • bows22bows22 member
@paytonpedro I would post your question about LPD in the question thread so that more people see it, and I would include how long your LP is because that will probably change the answers too!

R/R: We’ve had a really great weekend. I’m on the board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota and their annual gala was last night. It was virtual with party hosts hosting watch parties in their home. So we had 10 vaccinated friends over and it was so great to get gussied up and be together in our new house (bought last April but pandemic meant nobody had been inside).

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird? Carrots and peanut butter! Also cheddar and peanut butter sandwiches (heated up so the cheese is almost melted). Basically all things with peanut butter. I also love sardines which I think some people find weird. I make sardine omelets occasionally.
@pajamstagrams I just turned to my DH and said, “I need some rosemary simple syrup ASAP.” He makes simple syrups for his old fashioneds all the time and I bet that would be a great addition for lots of cocktails but I’m definitely going to try your n/a version. Sounds so refreshing!
@fantasyflyte I don’t think hotdogs and eggs sound too weird. But I’ve been conditioned by DH to accept his weird food concoction: corn, hot dogs, ketchup, butter, potato chips, all heated up and mixed together.

R/R: I feel old for being excited about getting a new vacuum cleaner, but meh! I got the new Dyson V11 cordless vac, since our last cordless vacuum died awhile ago, and I haven't been able to vacuum the stairs. The new vac is charging, and I can't wait to use it.

    CS/Q: None

GTKY: What is your favorite food/food combo that others might think is weird? I don't think I have any that are that weird? Nothing that I can think of, at least. I'm originally from New York, but live in the South now, so my northern friends think I'm weird for liking foods like grits and lots of fried stuff. And lots of biscuits. Yum, ham biscuits from Bojangles. DH grew up in Texas, near the Louisiana border, so he's introduced me to a lot of Cajun food that I've found absolutely delicious, like crawfish.
