I would love to hear some experience from families who have adopted a child or children with Special Needs.
We are not yet ready to adopt, but in looking at the younger children available in my State through the foster/adopt system, it looks like there are very few, and the few I see have very high needs.
What can you say to someone who has a loving home to give, but who sees a child like that with such a great need and feels daunted, who may not feel equipped to take on all those challenges?
