Hello ladies. I’m back.

I was here for a few months in fall of 2020 but had a chemical pregnancy right before thanksgiving and we decided to wait on ttc. I would have loved to have stuck around but it was too painful for me. I have been slowly stalking again.

My husband is 31, will be 32 in a month, and I’m 29. We have a feb16 boy and a july18 boy. We also have 2 chihuahuas.

Today is cd1 and this will be our first cycle ttc since November. Currently tracking bbt, using opks, and taking vitamins (does that even count? 😅) Since my chemical, I’ve had a luteal phase defect with my average at 8 days the past 4 cycles. I anticipate this will surely hinder the process but want to give it a couple months before consulting my doctor.

In our spare time we enjoy anything outdoors- gardening, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting- anything that you do outside is our speed. I’m a receptionist (still, despite the stress if anyone remembers) at an animal hospital that just recently switched owners, and it’s been a journey for me these past several months.

I’m looking forward to jumping back in slowly and sharing in this ttc journey with all you lovely ladies. I’m glad to be back. 💕🌈

Hey guys!

I’m a newbie to all this and basically just looking for a place to come to get advice and support. I’m hoping that is here!

My significant other and I are both 25 and we just got married in April! We have been TTC for two months now charting temperatures and using opks. I just started using the natural cycles app this month to try and help me chart better. Still trying to figure out the charts and information tbh... might need help reading them but I think that’s another board (?)

We have two dogs and two cats and love everything outdoors. Our wedding even involved hiking a half a mile to the ceremony location!

A little about me, I have pretty bad anxiety so have this deep fear of never being able to get pregnant or having something go terribly wrong. It’s irrational and I know it but I can’t shake it. Watching my cycle be somewhat abnormal on the app has not helped my anxiety. I’m hoping it will learn my cycle after a few months and the anxiety will lessen! Any advice on dealing with anxiety and TTC?

Hope this wasn’t too much information!

@currentcorgimom we have a monthly chart stalk thread where you can post your bbt/chart questions, you can ask them in the WTO/TWW dailies, and there's a OPK help thread pinned at the top for all your OPK needs.

No advice on the anxiety front (I too have anxiety) but for me, knowing your cycle and charting is very empowering, and it helps at least bring clarity to your cycles. Hopefully after a few months more of charting you feel the same!

@currentcorgimom hello! Don't feel bad about being anxious -- I have an anxiety disorder, and I feel the same. I keep worrying that it'll never happen, and we're only on our second cycle of TTC. Do you do anything to help your anxiety, like hobbies such as yoga or anything?

We are only on our second cycle so really I have no reason to be worried yet but it’s so hard not to be for me! I try to run and walk my dogs to calm myself. Also knitting great way to get all the anxious energy out if you need a new hobby :)

Hi!

We just started, 41 and 40, we have a 7.5yo born at 29 weeks. We are geeks. I love cooking, traveling, hanging out friends.

I am terrified that it is not going to work and terrified that it will bc I am older. I also have two friends that lost their preemies after birth.

@currentcorgimom Welcome. I would agree with what @pajamstagrams said about taking care of your mental health. It’s better to invest in that now because TTC / pregnancy / post partum will all be taxing. You want to have a good toolkit available to pick from when the anxiety gets above a certain threshold. I you have the option to see a therapist, I would do that. Sometimes, also, you might have insights into why you might be feeling anxious especially related to TTC. For example, have you had abnormal cycle? Abnormal bleeding? Have you’ve been to OBGYN before about some period related issues? It might not be apparent in the moment, but when you start to TTC some gut feeling can be telling you that you need to pay attention to symptoms of the past.

@SadieR welcome! Have you been TTCing long this time around, or are you just starting? I would recommend getting some basic blood work done just to see what your levels are (AMH, FSH, E2) and maybe look to see an RE sooner rather than later. The good news is that you’ve already god a successful conception under your belt. But, yeah, being old and TTCing is a whole other level. So, it’s best to bring your A game.

Tip toeing back in here after being on and off for the last year TTC. Have been lurking around for a bit recently and feel ready to jump back in.

How many months have you been TTC?: IUD removed Oct 2019; NTNP. Began to get serious Summer 2020.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Letrozole, estradiol, progesterone and IUI plus HIO at home. Unexplained secondary IF.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Work retail mgmt and DH is WFH now. Our DD is going to be 3 in July. Like to swim, ready book and be near water on days off.

@acleverusername I have actually been looking into seeing a therapist just to get talking to someone! I have pretty bad generalized anxiety so I really don’t think I have any reason to worry. My ob gave me a check up and said I looked great and my blood work is perfect so I’m healthy so I need to calm down! It’s just an evil voice in my head 🙄 also corgis are THE BEST

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for the last few months but first time posting. Excited to be here and have other people to talk to about TTC besides DH.

Ages (you and SO): both 32

How many months have you been TTC?: Went off of the pill at the end of 2020, but took a hot minute for AF to return. This is month 4 of actively trying.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: tracking BBT, OPKs, PNV and vitamin C, HIO. My luteal phase has been stubbornly short since coming off the pill, so hoping that vitamins and time will help lengthen it out to normal!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm originally from the East Coast but relocated to California two years ago. I work in education and DH is in tech. No kids, but we do have a cat who thinks that she is a human. I try to spend as much of my free time outside as possible! I've been a runner and hiker for many years but just started to dip my toes into trail running (my version of a pandemic hobby).

@acleverusername yes, we are over in the East Bay! It's been super nice, especially over the last year, to have access to so many trails and outdoor spaces. And as far as the cat...her top human trait is plopping herself in a chair at the dining table while we're eating dinner (and trying to steal food when she thinks we're not looking). She also became quite the celebrity at work while we were WFH because she would sit right in front of my camera during meetings. She's ridiculous but we love her!

- BD around and on the day of ovulation with help from OPK.

- we only have dogs and really want a kid to share our life with, along with the dogs. I'm unemployed because of multiple reasons but my SO is slowly going back to work after a long time away. I LOVE plants and animals and my husband LOVES cooking and cleaning. I don't know what else to say except for "Thanks for welcoming me and can't wait to get to know you guys"

Hi everyone:) I feel like I intro every few months but there are always so many new names...I've been here on and off since 2013 so definitely not new, but I haven't posted for a few months so I figure this is a good place to start again!

Ages (you and SO): I'm 42, SO is 54

How many months have you been TTC?: We've been TTC#3 for 12 months.

We have had 2 early losses during that time...a chemical cycle 2 back in September and a 7 week loss on New Year's this past January during cycle 6. I had 2 second tri losses between my 2 littles too so I've had 6 pregnancies total.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

I have 2 girls, 7 and almost 2 (I had the youngest when I was 40). We have a Holland Lop (house bunny). We are normally super active as a family but COVID has sort of slowed us down the past year. Love art, music, writing, reading, and all outdoor activities:) We are just hoping we have at least 1 good egg left in here somewhere...
