R/R: TGIF!! I invited my music dept over for a BBQ tomorrow. We always have a great time hanging out outside of school and have been talking about wanting to get together on a weekend. I’m very much looking forward to it! The weather should be beautiful and hopefully we’ll be able to use our firepit for the first time this season.

R/R: it's Friday woohoo! Gonna be nice and toasty this weekend. Hoping DH can be home at a reasonable time today but he always has a meeting from 3-5 on Fridays. Who the heck scheduled that 🙄. With it being so hot I doubt we'll get a lot of outdoor work done.

Rant - we keep finding ants in our house and it's annoying AF.

CS/Q: live look at me who's never had a positive OPK earlier than the PM of CD13. That's right, I already have a positive OPK this morning. Last time we HIO it was Monday so we've got work to do today for a chance!

@gingermama29 A BBQ sounds fun! My mom wanted to do one this coming Sunday, but it's supposed to be rainy and thundering all weekend. Boo.

@inthewoods23 Ants are the worst. We get those tiny, microscopic ants in our kitchen at work where the coffee station is. It's so gross. They set out little traps for them, but they're still out and about.

    Month/Cycle: 2

    CD: 15

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, PNV

R/R: So glad it's Friday! Yay! I think I've mentioned this before, but I have an ultrasound coming up on Monday to see if I have fibroids or an enlarged uterus (or if it's totally nothing at all). My doctor said neither were anything to worry about, so I'm trying not to think about it much. On the plus side, I took half the day off from work on Monday, and Tuesday is DH's birthday, so I took that day off. Just looking forward to spending more than one day this week with DH!

    CS/Q: None
  • @inthewoods23 yay for a positive OPK already!! It’s also supposed to be hot this weekend here too. I’m not looking forward to it though cause we don’t have our central air yet.
  • @awello are you doing anything fun for YH’s birthday? That’s awesome that you took the day off to spend together!

@gingermama29 ah I wish we had a fire pit! S'mores all day every day!

@inthewoods23 who schedules meetings that late on a Friday!?!? That's insane!

    And get to it! 😉

@awello I hope everything with your US goes well! Is it one where they make you have a full bladder the whole time and it's so uncomfortable and you're just hoping you don't pee all over the table?

    Month/Cycle: n/a, 0 AL
    CD: 16
    WAYDTGKU: bbt/cm, now maybe opks??
R/R: rave! Got my replacement Amazon order with my FRERs in and someone in the warehouse must have been in a good mood, because I ordered 1 pack of 3, for $9. They sent me 3 boxes of 3!!! 🙌🙌 I triple checked the listing, and I've definitely ordered that exact one before and only got one box 🤷‍♀️
CS/Q: So I think I'm going to try opks because I don't like being in the dark about when I'm ovulating, since this cycle is wonky. This might be a total disaster and just confuse me more. I have zero chill or patience right now 😬😂

TW HCG test out from MC
FRER was negative this AM so I am reasonably confident the opks will 'work'.

@gingermama29 I'm leaving it up to DH what he wants to do! Although, knowing him, that will probably turn out to be not much. Haha

@pajamstagrams Fortunately, no I don't have to have a full bladder! That sounds so uncomfortable. And yay for surprise boxes of FRER!
  • @gingermama29 enjoy your BBQ! Hopefully you can survive without our A/C with the heat. Fans will be your friend that's for sure!

@awello I think the ants we are getting are the carpenter ants. The large, black ones. Seems like every other day or so we're finding 1 somewhere. DH bought some kind of repellent that you lay around the outside of your house to deter them from coming in. Must take a little bit to be effective. Enjoy your time off next week. That sounds wonderful :)

@pajamstagrams I believe this is a recurring meeting he has with a customer or something for a project. I think they were the ones that scheduled the time. I don't think he has anything going on today that requires his presence in the office, but as much as he likes WFH he's finding it is easier for collaboration on projects being in the office so he's hating it less. I just wish he'd stay home on Fridays! And FWIW, *tw* after my loss I had a positive OPK before my HCG was at zero so just keep that in mind if you're finding your OPKs never turn positive in the coming days. Unless you haven't felt/seen any of your usual signs that O is coming/has happened then just ignore me :D I believe the same thing happened with the FRERs from Amazon for @bows22. Do you guys live in the same area? Maybe the same person screwed up haha.

    It’s poppin over here today!

@gingermama29 i can’t remember, which CD will you start the letrozole? Hope you all have fun at your bbq! And I hope you have s’mores!

@inthewoods23 I feel like there should be an unwritten rule on Friday meeting times. 3-5 is RUDE!! Sounds like you’re going to have to jump YH the moment he walks through the door.

@awello I hope everything goes well next week! That’ll be so nice to spend some more time with YH next week too.

@pajamstagrams whoop whoop “free” tests! Hope you’re able to gain some clarity this cycle.

    Month/Cycle: 3

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM, BBT

R/R: i don’t really have anything one way or the other. I’m tired AF and really over our cicada swarm. But I’m happy because it’s finally sunny today after 3 days of rain! I’m still feeling bleh, but the sunshine helps a little.
In not so good news, since we still don’t have gutters yet, part of our basement flooded, because mine and DH’s homeownership is a joke. It’s in the spot where the litter box is so nothing is ruined (except for a pair of shoes that were on the floor, I never wear them anyway so not a big loss), but hurry Tf up with the gutters dudes! They are nowhere to be seen today.

CS/Q: i decided to discard my super high temp from drinking last weekend to make it look better 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @inthewoods23 good to know. I feel like I've had some pre ovulation signs, but nothing to indicate it's actually happened. I normally have like 5+ days of EWCM before O and I'm only on day 4 ish, but who knows 🤷‍♀️

And haha, I don't think @bows22 and I live near each other. I am curious though to see if the lost package shows up, and how many FRERs I'll get 🤔

  • @pajamstagrams holy FRERs! That’s fantastic!

@b_1029 I started Letrozole today!! Boo for water in the basement but I’m glad nothing got ruined. I don’t know how you deal with all those cicadas! Hopefully they don’t get into the house at all.
  • @b_1029 agree!! Sometimes we end up having later meetings because we have a location out in San Diego so a 3pm meeting with them would be fairly normal. No idea where DH's customer is if they're a couple time zones away or not. Oh well. He said sometimes the customer doesn't even show up so the meeting doesn't even happen. And yes I will need to jump him because I'm supposed to go over to my parents for our Friday night face to face time and watch a show (what used to be Friday night Facetime :D). With that positive OPK this morning I don't want to delay our timing any more than physically possible. I'm betting I'll get peak later today. And WTF with your gutters!!

    @pajamstagrams hopefully you didn't miss O!

  • @b_1029 That stinks about your basement, but luckily it wasn't worse! Hopefully they get it together and your gutters are done soon. Sorry you are still feeling a little down :(

@pajamstagrams Uh score on the FRERs! That's awesome. I hope the OPKs help give you some insight on this cycle and ease your mind a bit.

@awello Yay for the weekend and a (kinda) long weekend for you! I hope your ultrasound goes well and all looks good.

@inthewoods23 Oh get to work! FX the timing works out and you hit it just right. And sorry about the ants. They are no fun.

@gingermama29 Oh I'm super jealous about your firepit! That sounds so nice!

    Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: Letrozole, Mira

R/R: Hey! I haven't checked in here for a couple days because life has been crazy. I am hosting my sister's bridal shower tomorrow and have been stressing big time over it. I just feel like I'm not fun and it will be a flop. I am looking forward to celebrating her though. No big rant, just hanging out and seeing what happens with this cycle.

    CS/Q:  Nope

  • Month/Cycle: 3

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Mira, Proov, Mosie (should be delivered today), HIO

R/R: Yay Friday!!! But it’s 97 degrees here today which is TOO HOT and nobody in the upper Midwest handles that well. We’re hosting a dinner party tomorrow and I hoped to be outside some but hell no. Give me all the AC.

CS/Q: nope. I usually don’t O until CD 16-18 so just HIO for fun these days. I’m kinda excited to get the Mosie delivery, see what this special turkey baster (I mean, syringe) looks like. 😂

@gingermama29 have a great BBQ! Love this time of year for outside parties.

@inthewoods23 we have ants, too, and they drive me INSANE. We found a line of them from our house to a nearby tree so after least now we have one area we know to treat. Hopefully that helps. Good luck!

@b_1029 ugggh, glad nothing was ruined in the basement!
  • @kgg2241 hosting showers is tough!  I was always so relieved when they were over, it's definitely not my wheelhouse. And I'm pretty glad almost all my friends are married *TW* with kids, so there shouldn't be any more showers 😂

  • @pajamstagrams Right?? Not my wheelhouse either. She is getting married a bit older than average, so neither of us have been to a wedding or shower in years. It should be fun to get dressed up though!
  • @gingermama29 BBQ sounds fun! It's very exciting to be able to see people again.
@inthewoods23 ooooh, thanks for the reminder, we have ant baits we need to set up. We're getting the tiny ants right now, super annoying. Also whoever scheduled meetings at the end of the day on a Friday is sadistic lol. Are they in another time zone?
@awello fingers crossed the ultrasound comes back clean, and happy almost birthday to YH!
@pajamstagrams I swear there are people with intimate TTC knowledge working at Amazon warehouses, either that or they just never read, because that's not the first time I've heard of that happening with the FRER 3packs. I'm pretty sure that's more exciting than getting a surprise extra candy bar at the vending machine :joy:. If the lost package shows up with another 3 sets, you should buy a lottery ticket.
@b_1029 basements are the worst with rain. We have a fieldstone foundation, so it just seeps in the walls when it rains. We've definitely learned to keep everything down there elevated and/or in plastic bins. Are the gutter people supposed to come today?
@kgg2241 I'm sure it'll be fun! If it makes you feel any better, I made the cake for my sister's bridal shower, but misjudged the stacking, and it was very lopsided, but no one cared and it was still delicious and a fun afternoon!
@rachelredhead blugh I'm not sure anyone anywhere handles 97F well. Are you in the area getting storms today? Maybe some rain will bring relief? (disregard if you don't want to talk about where you live lol, I'm a meteorology major so funky weather is my jam and I get invested in it).

    Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD: 22

WAYDTGKU: cm, opks, bbt, cinnamon supplements

R/R: Yay off today, and husband doesn't have to work until evening. It's super muggy and gross out today, we're supposed to get thunderstorms on and off. I suppose I should work on transcribing my class notes and do some homework, but I want to finish my cross stitch instead.

CS/Q: I'm very sure I'm going to ovulate in the next couple days, so we're going to get at least one more session in today, hopefully more, but I expect a positive OPK this afternoon.

  • b_1029b_1029 member
@fantasyflyte I assumed they were going to since they’ve come every other day it’s nice. It’s supposed to rain every day next week so we’re like....??? I know MH called the company but I don’t think he has heard back. Sounds like a lot of places are getting the nasty muggy weather! Hope you’re able to get some “sessions” in with Yh- is there anything more romantic than a candle burning and thunderstorm in the background?!

@rachelredhead 97, yuck. I hate summer weather haha

@kgg2241 oh man I’d feel really lame planning a shower too. I never like any of the games and am generally very introverted so it all sounds overwhelming to me. Good luck, I’m sure everything will be great!

@inthewoods23 this is only my 2nd cycle using the Premom app for OPKs, do you know if it took longer to determine what peak is? I’ve gotten some on and off high readings and yesterday had a 1.0 reading but I’m like 🤷🏼‍♀️ If only we all could see inside our bodies instead of tracking everything

@gingermama29 I just haven’t been going outside as much. I read an article today that said they’re going to be at their peak next week and I’m like...how can it get worse? I’ve gotten better at getting brave enough to kick them away from the door, they mostly just roll onto their backs and can’t get up. They also fly like they’re drunk. Kind of dumb I guess
  • @fantasyflyte I have no idea if they're in a different time zone. I'd the project would just end that'd be great 😅

@b_1029 Premom says your peak is for whichever OPK they determinedbto be the darkest. It will adjust if you take more and you have a 2nd surge or something along those lines. For example, my OPK this morning they gave it a 1.04. The one before lunch was 1.01 so right now it's telling me my peak was the earlier test. Now should I get a higher reading later today or tomorrow it will change my peak to a different OPK.

  • @b_1029 not gonna lie, thunderstorms usually involve one or both of us watching the storm on radar and out the window. I'm the one studying to be a meteorologist, but my husband is also a big weather nerd. During his best man speech at our wedding, my husband's brother remarked that DH managed to find the only other person as into weather as him aside from [well-known area weatherman]. :joy:

  • @bows22 I definitely have 7 or 8 FRERs, 2 digitals, and a good number of Wondfo HPTs in my bathroom cabinet :# I have to keep telling myself to stop peeking down the aisle at Meijer to check for the yellow sale stickers under the FRERs.
