    Month/Cycle? Cycle 34

    WAYDTGKU: Nada

    WTO/TWW? Benched

    Ages of other child(ren)? 3.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Trying not to kill everyone with my BCP hormones

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: We went and saw my friend who had a baby during covid for the first time and DD was obsessed with the baby. My friend has an older kid who kept saying “this is my baby” so I was just waiting for DD to start saying she wanted a baby but thank goodness nothing yet. It’s really nice that it hasn’t occurred to her yet that having a baby brother/sister is something that should be happening for her. On another note, my birthday is this weekend and she is so excited but also so jealous that it isn’t hers. I keep telling her we can share my birthday but I don’t think she’s convinced yet 😂

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids? Pedicures for sure, but last night it was DH’s turn to put DD to bed and I watched A Million Little Things while eating leftover queso and it was amazing.

  • @bows22 happy almost birthday! DH rarely puts DD to bed, but the nights when he does are such a treat! Also, queso yummmm!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 5/4

    WAYDTGKU: Mira/Letrozole

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 20 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Most certainly a bust. I don't ovulate on my own. I was finally able to pick up my letrozole yesterday (CD 6/was supposed to take it on CD3-7). I did decide to take it yesterday and will tonight because I'm crazy (feel free to judge me). I don't want to take it past day 7 though bc I don't want to have a marathon cycle. So we'll see what happens.

    Any questions? Nada

Rant/Rave? I'm just super tired this week. We had a busy busy holiday weekend and then today I had a reunion with my high school best friends and their kids. It was a blast but I am ready for some down time.

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids?
I take a lot of baths now. I started taking them postpartum to help with my tear and realized it is nice little space to decompress away from DD. I'm actually in the bath now lol.

@bows22 can’t imagine the BC hormones. Yum to queso, that’s a solid self care activity haha!

@kgg2241 sorry for the delay in getting letrozole :( it’s hard going into a cycle already feeling like it’ll be a bust. Hope you’re able to relax some this weekend!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Nah not really. Not feeling hopeful but I almost never do 🤷🏼‍♀️

Any questions? Has anyone struggled with feeling super low after weaning? The last time I pumped was about 2 weeks ago and I’ve felt so down. Hardly showered, not taking care of myself, not really talking to anyone..I’m not sure if I’m just randomly going through an episode or if it’s related. It doesn’t help I have some other stuff going on too

Rant/Rave? Basically what’s in my question. DD is sick and we’ve kept her out of daycare this week. My MIL took her to the doctor even though I don’t necessarily think she had to go. It’s hard to find the balance since I obviously want her to be healthy but also don’t think we need to rush to the doctor every time she has a cough and stuffy nose.

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids? This question is making me realize I need to be better at self care because I really can’t think of anything. I guess going to target and meandering around by myself, but that was my favorite activity pre kids too haha

@bows22 oh I love it when MH puts both kids to bed! We usually each take one and typically I do the little one because it’s just what the boys want right now. That’s so cute YD liked the baby. SD1 has always liked babies and him and his brother have been best buddies since he met him at the hospital about 12 hours after he was born. I’d say that’s a good sign!

@kgg2241 how do you feel on letrozole? I think my doctors may recommend it.

@b_1029 I get postpartum depression and it came back a bit when I weaned my first son. It’s part of why I’m nervous about weaning my 17 month old. Definitely monitor it! kellymom may have some good resources, make sureYH is aware, treat it a bit like ppd, make sure your taking care of yourself, and I found finding something to replace nursing that felt like was bonding really helps too. I will say it lasts about a month for me and it felt like about a 1/10 of how I felt with ppd. If you ever need someone to listen I’m more than happy 💕
ETA- I wrote this while up In The middle of the night with my youngest so I apologize if I’m a little jumbled

@kgg2241 I’m pretty sure my protocol for clomid is going to be taking it on CD 5-9 so maybe you aren’t too late? Although I know clomid and letrozole work differently. If you post it on the IF thread I bet someone will know. I hope this week goes by quickly for you so you can catch up on rest this weekend!

@b_1029 I hope YD feels better! I was always bad about taking mine in to be checked when she had a cough. I couldn’t ever tell if she was “belly breathing” like they say to watch for. So I’m sure your doctor didn’t think anything of it but it’s kind of annoying that your MIL took her. I don’t remember feeling down after weaning but I did the most gradual weaning ever....however I do feel like I was in a funk for awhile after my 2nd shot. I’m not sure if it’s actually a thing or if it was just in my head. Just wanted to mention since I think you had yours recently too. Anyway I hope you start to feel better and you know where to find me if you need to talk ❤️

@da@daisy0322 I have been thinking about that, that if/when we have another I’ll probably lose my every other night alone time because we will have to divide and conquer bedtime. I’ll have to figure out a routine to keep it some of the time because I love it so much haha.
  • @kgg2241 baths are my go to for destressing, and I usually take 1-2 a week during DD's nap. The hotter the better!

@bows22 DD told me she wanted a brother a couple months ago, but I don't think she actually understood what it meant, thankfully.

@b_1029 I didn't, but it wouldn't surprise me if people did due to the drop in hormones, etc.  my cycles did change after I fully weaned, and while they did become more regular, they came with nasty migraines during my period, and those haven't gone away.

Semi-related, but I did have DMER every time I pumped... hormones are crazy.

Any thoughts about this cycle? HURRY THE EFF UP

    Any questions? nope

Rant/Rave?  We switched DDs crib rail out for a toddler rail a couple weeks ago, and she's done so well!! She wasn't a climber to begin with, I just got tired of bending over every morning, because, like me, she never wants to get out of bed 😂

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids? Definitely baths! Unfortunately they also tend to trigger migraines if I get them too hot, so I gotta watch out for that, and bring in a LOT of water to stay hydrated.
  • @b_1029 not long after I stopped pumping I had to bump up my Zoloft. I honestly never connected the two but it would totally make sense for that hormonal change to have a mental health impact. As others have said, keep an eye on it. Don’t feel bad about feeling bad, either. Your body is going through a lot, and it’s going to get better. My therapist always reminds me to “be curious, not judgmental” about my emotions and that really does help me be a bit kinder to myself. Big hug. ❤️

@bows22 Lordy I hate BCP. I’m sorry you’re feeling the rage. I hope you start feeling a bit more even-keeled soon.

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 3

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Proov, Mira, Mosie (if it arrives in time, I guess), Coq10, HIO

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? Almost 11 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not yet, we will see if Mosie (at home insemination, just a fancy syringe basically) helps with performance anxiety issues

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? Folks talking about baths make me sad. 😂 I looooooved Epsom salt baths while pregnant. But we only have one bath tub and I had the wise idea of putting those textured/scratchy non-slip stickers in ours so baby can crawl around without slipping. Works well for that purpose but they’re not comfortable for leisurely baths.

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids? I have a ColorStreet nails problem and change my nails probably weekly. I used to go to the salon for manicures pre-Covid but now I kinda prefer just these nail sticker things. My job is pretty conservative (attorney) so making my nails neon orange with leopard spots makes me feel like a renegade at the computer, even though nobody sees the nails because I’m still WFH. 🤷‍♀️😀
  • What number are you trying for? Three

    Month/Cycle? 4/2 2AL

WAYDTGKU: PNV OPK BBT EOD Conceive+ lube

WTO/TWW? Hopefully moving to WTO today these cramps are awful this month

    Ages of other child(ren)? 1, 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? It’s a wash timing was great but I guess it wasn’t the right time. I have a close family friend who actually predicted my other pregnancies and I visited her last night to help out with something and she told me to just enjoy the summer because I’ll get pregnant late summer early fall and I need to enjoy this time with my kiddos. While she’s not normally wrong about things (it really is the craziest thing I’ve experienced she’s right like 80-90% of the time minimum) I hate to get my hopes up. Annnnd now that you all think I’m a crazy pants I’ll move on 🤣

    Any questions? Not really

Rant/Rave? My anxiety has been God awful. I need to do something about it- but did I talk about it in therapy this week? No ma’am I just bitched about stupid stuff for an hour because I didn’t want to actually deal with it
because that’s what I do best!

GTKY: what’s your favorite self care activity since having kids? Working out but I’m awful at getting to the Y. They have a free child watch that the kids even love. Just packing everyone up and getting ready then worrying about if DS1 will remember to use the potty or if DS2 is okay then getting home doing naps showering etc it feels like a lot until I just do it then it’s fine. Shout out to you working moms btw! When I worked part time briefly we had a nanny because I couldn’t imagine getting everyone that scheduled you’re the real MVP.

  • @pajamstagrams oh that’s so great she’s doing well with the toddler bed! Definitely a big milestone ❤️

@rachelredhead I hope the mosie works well for you! The renegade lawyer visual is cracking me up!
  • @rachelredhead oh noooo that makes me so sad for you. That would be so uncomfortable to bathe with all that stuff on the bottom. I take it it's not easily removable?

@daisy0322 i dunno, as a working mom, I think being a SAHM is harder! Maybe it's just because I had the maternity leave from hell, but I was soooo ready to go back to work and not have anyone dependent on me 24/7. I'm the worst at coming up with fun, educational activities for DD, so I'm very thankful for daycare!
  • @pajamstagrams I was a nanny for a long time and I just love staying home! I think it all comes down to preference honestly. There’s nothing wrong with either 😊
  • @daisy0322 @pajamstagrams I agree, i think SAH life is harder. DH is a SAHD and he is absolutely amazing at it and they both really thrive. I WFH for now but cannot wait to get back in the office, at least part of the time. I felt bad at first, like a good mom would WANT to stay at home, but now, seeing how wonderful my husband is at it, I just think everyone has different strengths and different lifestyles that make them feel fulfilled. At this point in my life, I really want to advance my career. And I’m really happy my son is getting this awesome early bonding time with his dad.
  • @rachelredhead that’s so awesome! My husband and my favorite part to be honest is I clean and run all the errands and doctors appointments during the week days so our nights and weekends are 100% family time

@b_1029 sorry for the late reply. I struggled a lot when I weaned. I got intrusive thoughts about DD for a couple weeks. It was a nightmare. Luckily they went away after a couple of weeks. Hopefully your hormones just need some time to adjust and you'll start feeling better soon. Hugs ❤️.

@Daisy22 I feel fine on it! I learned to take it at night so I basically sleep through the side affects. I know some people get headaches though. I'm sorry your anxiety has been up lately! That's rough.

@bows22 I spent way too long reading about different protocols last night. I think you're right. 6-10 shouldn't be a big deal since it is just one day off from the 5-9 protocol. I'll probably head over to the IF thread soon. I just feel like I don't have much to offer since I don't know anything about advanced treatments beyond Letrozole and trigger shots. (Edit to add that I could definitely offer support! That sounded jerky of me not to include that.)
