R/R: sorry I’ve been a little MIA/ sporadic on here. I’ve been struggling a bit for the past week or so. Hoping this down period ends soon. In other news, I’m just happy it’s Thursday and almost the weekend again even though my mom is coming and I’m not overly excited about it

R/R: Rave - lots of our ferns have started coming in! They are just wee little fronds. I'm sure it'll take another year or two before they start looking as hefty as the plants you purchase at a garden center. The weeds are a big pain in the butt. That's on our agenda this weekend to clear out as much as we can so the ferns have room to grow. I think DH is finally going to water them with epsom salt now that we found our watering can. Which he hilariously found the same day I had gone out and bought a new one :D I'm super tempted to run out at some point today for a frappucino but I shouldn't with all the sugar and the caffeine. I suppose I could get it decaf and sugar free right?

R/R: looking forward to picking up my Letrozole at the pharmacy today. I did calculate out and realized that part of our TI will happen during our travels to Italy. I joked with DH that we might be making an Italy baby (assuming we’re successful with the medicated cycle -trying to think positive!).

    CS/Q:

  • @inthewoods23 oops we must have posted simultaneously. I’ve never heard of using epsom salt for watering! Does that help with weeds??
  • @gingermama29 I think if you use excess epsom salt that might kill weeds, but the right amount helps plants grow! They say it's really good for vegetable plants and such because it enhances their flavor.

@inthewoods23 I saw your post yesterday, extra hugs to you this week. That’s exciting about your ferns! From everything you’ve described, your yard sounds big + awesome with all the work you all have done.

@gingermama29 an Italian baby would be amazing! Or just any baby obviously, but that would be extra special to know it was conceived there. I hope the letrozole is kind to you! I don’t remember having any bad side effects, my first couple cycles I had a ton of CM (sorry TMI) while my body adjusted to it. Which was not a bad thing to have!
  • @inthewoods23 oooh I’ll have to try that!! We planted spinach and cherry tomatoes this year.

@b_1029 I remember having mild nausea from Letrozole when I took it in November. Totally worth it if the end result is a THB though!
  • @inthewoods23 totally treat yourself to the frappucino! not sure if you can get them decaf though (can you??) but you wouldn't even know the difference with all the other stuff in there haha.

@b_1029 sorry you're feeling down this week, hopefully it doesn't last too long!

@gingermama29 it would be a fun conception story to share when they are older to embarrass them!  :D

R/R: rave: I bought a 2nd set of sheets for our bed last week, and definitely splurged. OMG totally worth it. I already had bamboo sheets, which are awesome anyway, but I spent waaay more and upgraded to the top of the line version, and they are sooooo much softer and silkier.

    CS/Q: nope

  • @pajamstagrams I'm not even sure if I can get it decaf haha. I would think why not though. How much do you spend on bamboo sheets? I've always thought about buying a set because DH is so freaking nitpicky about fabrics. He hates regular cotton sheets and has always slept on flannel (yes that means we're using flannel sheets in the summer). I tend to overheat depending on the PJs I'm wearing so I'm wondering if bamboo is soft enough for him and lightweight enough that I don't sweat when it's hot in the house. Which can be often because we tend to leave our house around 76-78 in the summer with the A/C.

  • @inthewoods23 so these were $300 🙈🙈. My other ones (same brand) I think we're closer to $150 or something since Costco discounted them. I definitely find that bamboo sheets help me with overheating. We keep our house at 71 overnight (it's way too dang hot/humid otherwise) but since I use a weighted blanket too, it traps heat. Switching to bamboo from cotton made a huge difference.

Also...flannel? 🥵 DH had jersey sheets when we didn't live together and I hated them lol.
  • @pajamstagrams flannel sheets are soft AF though and I'm totally okay with it :D It's probably more important how heavy my blankets are. I also tend to sweat most when I'm wearing PJ shorts. Pants don't give me that problem which I can only assume is because the skin to skin contact of my legs keeps them warmer than when I have fabric between them wearing pants.

I'm pretty sure jersey sheets are the devil :joy: that's gonna be a no from me

R/R: hello ladies, so happy to be back!! I’ll start things off with a rant, because why not!? We found copious amounts of poison ivy, some 50ft high growing up a pine tree, 10-15 feet from our camper at my family’s land. It’s probably been there forever (and I’ve just been outrageously fortunate not to have found it previously!!) but now that I know it’s there I’m stressing hardcore.

    CS/Q: nothing to see here.

@inthewoods23 I just spent the weekend transplanting ferns and I’m praying they take! A day or two after and they still looked spectacular, but I don’t get to check them again until Saturday. 😬 I’ve had 2 cups of coffee today and wouldn’t be functioning without the caffeine so total props to you if you can do it!!!

@gingermama29 What a great story that would be!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 for an Italian baby!!

@pajamstagrams new sheets sound heavenly!! We just upgraded to “my pillows” and my neck is for sure thanking me!! We still have flannel sheets from the cold seasons(laundered regularly obviously but the other sets are put away), so I should probably switch them or upgrade soon!

@inthewoods23 I can’t tell if you’re joking 😂 you know, like it would basically just be a milkshake. On the app it’s a creme Frappuccino versus a coffee Frappuccino

edit - oh and you do have the option to get the coffee ones as decaf on the app!
  • @bows22 no I wasn't joking!! I am not a Starbucks aficionado :joy: . Good to know you can get it in decaf!

I've never been big on frappuccinos, but maybe I'll try a creme frappuccino since it's getting to the melting-your-bones hot season here!

R/R: I've decided to stop using OPKs this cycle. Not seeing the line get any darker is giving me horrible anxiety (which, in turn, is probably delaying my O date anyway), and (TMI) we're DTD everyday anyway so it's not like we'll miss ovulation day. Maybe I'll try them next cycle if it doesn't happen this month, but right now I'm trying to take care of my mental health as much as my physical health! Overall, though, today was a good day.
