Idk if any of you are familiar with rev control of documents. This isn't much of a wtf and more of an lol story.
Normally with rev control you provide a description of what you changed in a document when you update it. You might say something as simple as "updated section 4.2" or "revised table 3-1". Something along those lines so you know when certain parts changed.
In this one document my coworker created, the initial rev description stated "initial release by [name]" which is pretty normal for a brand new document. He recently updated this document and I noticed the description says "update by [name]". I literally have no idea what he actually changed. Lol wtf am I supposed to gather from that description?

@inthewoods23 He just wants everyone to know he’s working!😬 I’d be so annoyed by that.
I have a couple things to b*tch about today but I will try to stick to one vent session for now. I signed on for a contract job that was supposed to be fairly simple, completely in my wheelhouse, not too stressful, etc. I just found out that many of the “perks” that were promised have been removed due to budget, AND I have way more responsibilities than I first signed on for because they can’t afford the assistant I was supposed to be supported by. I’m going to have to learn how to do tedious things I have no interest in and no desire to learn. I want to quit the gig but it’s too late.
@inthewoods23 ohhhhh rev history is a giant giant mess so much of the time. I feel your pain. And this is why i get nasty emails from people wanting me to approve their sh*t. Hell no, good sir. Fix your documentation first.
@keikilove ugh that is so frustrating. Double whammy. 👎👎
