  • HALP, does anyone have a list of words that British people use a "s" in instead of a "z"? 😂😂 Or should I just make my UK colleague check our report? 😉😂
  • Realise
    Categorise
    Organisation
    Baptise
    Civilised
    Humanise
    Evangelise
etc.  the list goes on... idk
  • @BusinessWife so...like every word... I'll just make him do it. 😂😂
  • lol yes, I would have the specialist handle it! ;)  Apparently there is some debate among the kind of people who read the Oxford Dictionary on when both are acceptable, or when the Z is absolutely wrong?  lol who knows.  They can discuss amongst themselves LOL

My Amazon delivery today- BBT, more OPKs, prenatal vitamins. I’m sure I’ll start getting targeted ads soon 😆
  • Two questions because I need assistance adulting 😅

    1. I bought white sheets, multiple sets..... they are amazing and I love them but I never realized how sweaty MH apparently is! Any tips on keeping them white?

    2. Since my husbands new position started in February he has to wear suits a few times a week.  They’re dirty ummm obviously because we probably should have figured out they need dry cleaned sooner than this. There’s like 6 of them. When I take them to a cleaners is there anything specific to tell them to do? I’ve never dropped anything off like that before.
  • @daisy0322

    1. No clue, I'll tell you my white sheets aren't that white 😬😳 I have read that frequently washing them (aka every 1-2 weeks) helps. Since i fail at adulting and JUST NOW bought a 2nd pair of sheets for our bed, you can imagine how often our sheets get washed 😂

DO NOT use bleach... supposedly most of the stains are body fluid (aka sweat) so bleach might actually set them in? Anyway, that's what I read once, so I just use oxyclean and hot water and hope for the best. 🤷‍♀️

You could also try "bluing" (google it). Might work. Or try stripping your sheets, if you have hard water and lots of soap build up that might help.

    2. I just drop off my stuff at the cleaners, and point out any specific stains as necessary, or like the time I spilled hot bacon grease all over myself, told them where that was on my pants.
  • @pajamstagrams you’re the best! Yes definitely can’t bleach they’re damasks but I’ll look up blueing! And that’s great I’ll just drop them off, I really didn’t want to sound like an idiot lol

@daisy0322 plus 1 to oxyclean! It works great! I also tried stripping my sheets last year (GoCleanCo anyone??). It helped but wasn't a miracle worker or anything. Truthfully, I don't buy white sheets for this reason 😆.
  • @daisy0322 another +1 for the oxyclean! Just spray and let it set in.
  • @kgg2241 ugh I tried stripping last year and none of my sheets/towels/clothes got better after, didn't notice a difference at all. We have a water softener so I suppose that's why. BUT I did notice that when I started using waaaay less detergent, all my clothes got softer and towels got fluffier. (No dryer sheets or softener here)
  • @kgg2241 @fameonmain2 I’ll have to buy o Oxyclean and try it. I always make my own laundry detergent and cleaning supplies so I never have that kind of stuff at the house
  • Is there any interest for an ongoing genetics / genetic screening thread (similar to PCOS/MTHFR/ Blood Disorders & Other Challenges)?  I've been thinking about posting it just to the IF thread, but I feel like there'd be benefit of continuity across weeks / cohorts. Thoughts?
