R/R: Im so tired i slept not great because of a headache then I woke up a little too early to MH right up against me and this BBT deal *may* be stressing me out because I was kinda short with him about it messing up my temp even I know it’s really not that big of a deal because my temp is what it is and overall it needs to be a trend. Other than that my cousins wife and friend are running against each other for school board and it’s made my life awkward to say the least. Other than that yesterday I deep cleaned most of the house and spent the rest of the day outside it was so nice out. I wish we had a pool in our yard I would totally be laying by it today haha I think public pools open up next weekend though so that’ll be nice.

CS/Q: so my temp looks like it spiked well but like I said MH was practically sleeping in top of me when I woke up - and I may have been a little snippy about it. So I’m not sure how accurate it is. Fingers crossed though it keeps going up

@daisy0322 oh my goodness that school board race sounds stressful! I'm sorry you're in that position. Sorry about the temping stress. TTC tracking can get so stressful, especially if you feel like you're missing a window.

R/R: I have a work situation going on with some friends that's not great. It's making me feel uneasy - not really stressed or anything - but that's hanging over my head today. We have another colleague going through some serious health issues, and so one of my friends reminded me that at least we are healthy in the midst of that. And of course I'm so thankful but I haven't shared about MH & my ttc struggles so..

R/R: No real rant here today.

Rave - I'm so glad I took leave from work yesterday, because I got so much done. Went for a nice long run, followed by taking care of a few errands around town, then when I got home I tackled our front yard (needed weeding and some shrub trimming), mowed the second half of the backyard that MH didn't get to over the weekend, then prepped the living room for our furniture delivery before I took the dog to the groomer. The furniture was delivered while I was out, so I didn't have to deal with the stress of all that. Before & after pics in the spoiler. *TW - LC play things in pics*

CS/Q: Not a question, more of a comment, but it's crazy to me how much just having the ceiling fan on can affect my BBT. Yesterday, my BBT was 97.43F and I had the ceiling fan on, and then this morning it was 97.93 and I had forgotten to turn the ceiling fan on when I went to bed last night. So yeah, my chart looks a little wonky because of the spiky temps. Ahh well, no biggie.

@daisy0322 that’s a lot of ick in your update. Do you think you’ll be asked to take sides in the school board race? Can you support them both and remain “Switzerland”? Sounds like you’re having nice weather and hopefully you’ll feel comfortable when the public pools open next weekend.

@fameonmain2 I missed what’s happening with YH (might have shared it in TWW?) Anyway, I am sorry that you’re having to bear both burdens in silence. Not sure if you’re up for dropping a few clues like “not everyone talks about their problems” to get your colleague to stop making flippant remarks like that.

@babyodo the new furniture looks GREAT! I’m also so excited that you were so productive yesterday. I wish I were that productive on my days off. Haha. My house is a mess.

WAYDTGKU: readying for IVF cycle #1 starting in the LP; in the meanwhile lots of vitamins and supplements for MH and I to support a successful cycle.

R/R: it’s been really cold here and there’s no end in sight but at least the sun was out yesterday and today. Still, I’m always wearing a beanie and puffy jacket when I go out and I’d like that to stop. Right now, daily highs don’t get past 59 degrees.

I also got my knee MRI results back already and it appears that I have something called patellar maltracking which it seems doesn’t require surgery; I may need to do PT for it though. I’m regrouping with my doc on Monday to get next steps.

CS/Q: I also want to join the weird ovary club. Both my BBT and RHR are acting as I’ve already ovulated, which is WAY TOO EARLY. I didn’t have any “dumb” OPKs until yesterday so I’ve been using CBAD for the past 2 days and it kept registering Low. The trouble with CBAD is that unless you start on time, you can miss both the rise in E2 and the LH surge. Anyway, I’m going to have to monitor the next few days to see what my BBT does and might need to get my progesterone checked in a few days to see if I’ve ovulated.

R/R: i took yesterday as a "work" from home day... and being self employed i quasi goofed around all day. prob should've been productive, but oh well. also got caught up on handmaid's tale - wowsa!

@daisy0322 we are just waiting on the rules for reopening for our community pool, it's 80+ here this week and i can't wait!!! i also hate anyone, including mh, sleeping on/too close to me. it wakes me up and is very disruptive to me.

@fameonmain2 ugh that's so hard when people don't know the full picture of what's going on. i don't love the whole like it could be worse type comments.

@babyodo looks great! i'm intrigued by whatever is framed/hanging that looks historical!

@acleverusername i'm glad it's not more serious and hopefully pt does the trick!!

@acleverusername our state is basically opened back up so I’m not real worried plus we’ve had covid and did t get real sick. Oh they’re already wanting me to take sides which I agree with my cousin and I’ve always disagreed with how my friend votes on school board issues. But it never bothers me to disagree with someone. Her on the other hand it’s going to get awkward lol. I hope it warms up for you where you are! And FX for your first egg retrieval (I think that’s what’s next sorry I’m not IVF savvy )

@daisy0322 I noticed your question on the OPK help thread and was wondering **TW** if you have taken a pregnancy test or not. I know OPKs can detect HCG. Are you still getting positive OPKs? If they're still positive, and getting darker, it could mean you're KU?

R/R: Hi. Hello. Nice to be back. We hired a new employee so things haven’t been as busy. Although one of my coworkers is on vacation for a month, so we shouldn’t really be less busy…. maybe we’re just going through a lull. Idk. That’s my ramble for the day lol.

It’s been warmer here lately and I’m sooo happy about it. We are going camping this weekend. First official one of the summer. I’m so excited to get out on the lake and do some fishing!

@anniemarie887 - thanks! Our house is completely done in Revolutionary War-era, so we have lots and lots of antiques. We also have an antique tavern sign business, so we create and reproduce wooden signs and have a few hanging around our house. The wall with all the documents is various ephemera, like the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and we have two authentic certificates of Indentured Servitude complete with seals and everything. We go antiquing at least once per month, sometimes more, and we're lucky that we live in an area that is very historical so we've scored some pretty great stuff. MH collects antique wood planes, so we have a ton of those, and I like to collect antique butter molds and dough bowls, and I have several grain buckets, butter crocks, and bellows for the fireplace.

@acleverusername should have been clearer! I meant our fertility struggles. Glad your knee might only require physical therapy. I hate CBAD for the exact reason you mentioned, and I rarely remember to start in time haha

@anniemarie887 what’s your self-employment gig? I haven’t started on Handsmaid Tale yet but we just finished watching His Dark Materials last night (was a rewatch for me) and need something else. Might consider it. I know what it’s about and not sure how I’ll handle the subject matter.

@babyodo wow! Your house sounds like a museum! I’ve always admired the idea of antiquing but not sure I could actually ever get into it myself. I kind of like modern / Scandinavian look and feel of stuff.

@LJMoon6 hi friend!!! *wild waving*. So glad you’ve got help now... hopefully there’s a work lull until you’re other coworker comes back. I’m jealous of anyone who can take 4-week vacations Also... TW...

@babydodo oh very cool! i was brainstorming where you might live, but there could be so many options! i am the worst with american history, probably more embarrassingly with how close baltimore is to gettysburg too. (don't worry i do know revolutionary and civil war were different eras!)

@acleverusername i own an insurance and financial services office with 3 employees. i am trying to be better about taking time away and unplugging as there are no "off" days like some self employed ppl where where they can just not take on new projects.

@acleverusername Thank you! My whole time away I always had you in the back of my mind, wondering how you were doing. My coworker is from Kenya, so every year he saves up his vacation and takes it all at once to go back to visit family. I told him one of these times I would go with him and he could be my tour guide!

@LJMoon6 you're too sweet! I forgot to answer your question: yes! We're doing IVF this cycle (hopefully), starting in the luteal phase. Lots happened in the last 1.5 months... between a bust of a double IUI cycle where I ovulated 4 eggs, and my company starting to offer fertility benefits from May 1, it's been crazy busy. The fertility benefits came with the added challenge of having to find a yet another RE (our 4th!) that accepted insurance. But, I think we're all set up now. In fact, I just ordered my medications earlier today for delivery tonight. Now I'm just waiting to ovulate and I'll starts meds a few days after. No unprotected sex for us this FW.
