Re: TWW Wednesday 5/19
Month/Cycle: 30/33
CD/DPO: 23/8-9
Timing: Either just in time or a little too late
Typical LP length: 10-12
Testing: BFN today
R/R: I’m crampy, nauseous, and just feel like AF is coming. Maybe FF was right about O on CD12 (even though it makes no sense based on OPKs). The good news is that all of that, combined with today’s temp, made me have zero hope of the test today being positive (but of course I still tested haha - I mean, what if AF comes and I don’t get to test again for 3 months??) In other news, we have been noticing this couple that looks to be around our age spending a lot of time at the house 2 doors down from us so I finally looked it up on our county’s real estate website and they in fact live there now. It looks like the son and daughter in law of the woman who owned it before so I guess that’s why we never saw a for sale sign or really noticed anything happening. We aren’t very neighborly but it will be nice to have some people to be friendly with that aren’t our parents age.
CS/Q: Temps support the thought that this cycle is coming to an end.
Month/Cycle: 23/2 AL
CD/DPO: 77/1
Timing: good
Typical LP length: 13
Testing: 🤷♀️
R/R: I think I go here now. I haven’t been temping so guess we’ll see.
I had a different heating/cooling company out this week for a quote after the last company completely blew us off. Looks like we have to upgrade a couple ducts to be wider and will need to replace our furnace too which is 27 years old (installed in ‘94) and won’t last more than another year. He said our furnace is actually too big for our house so we’ll get a smaller one. But overall for a new furnace, central air, and the ductwork, the estimate is less than what I was expecting. We’re planning to go forward with it as soon as we get the official quote, which I’m expecting today. He said it’d be a couple weeks before we could get it done but he’d have the job done in 2 days.
CS/Q:
@gingermama29 whooaaaa glad to see you move over here! That’s awesome the estimate is less than expected, it’s crazy how expensive house stuff is.
Month/Cycle: 2
CD/DPO: 27
Timing: 🤷🏼♀️
Typical LP length: 🤷🏼♀️ No clue anymore, hoping for a +OPK next cycle
Testing: tomorrow if no AF
R/R: i bought a new BBT on Amazon last night and it won’t be here till Monday?! Boo. I’m excited to get more insight though. MH and I were kind of snappy at each other this morning which wasn’t the best start to the day, but whatever. Going to take the dog on a short walk before logging on for work in hopes it cheers me up some.
CS/Q: nope
@bows22 sorry for he BFN. Also, our neighborhood is slowly getting younger too. We are not super neighborly either haha. But I love it.
@gingermama29 Ugh. That stuff isn't fun. We had to replace one of our central air units. It is sitting in our garage waiting for our contractor friend to install it.
@b_1029 Yay for a BBT! I love seeing how my charts turn out. I think it is so interesting.
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 30/9
Timing: good
Typical LP length: 14 days but shorter and irregular since loss.
Testing: nope
R/R: Wednesdays are my long day. I leave the house at 7:30 and don't return until 7:00. And I stayed up SOOOOO late watching tiktoks on disney world. haha! zzzzzzzzzzzz
CS/Q: Slight temp dip this morning. Probably AF coming. Chart in spoiler.

Typical LP length: 14-16
Testing: no, dammit, get a grip
R/R: rant/rave is we’re headed over to my parents’ house today because he needs help launching the boat. It’s only annoying because I NEED my 3 screens to do my job and I’ll be trying to be productive with a laptop while DH helps my dad. But, on the plus side, lake views!
CS/Q: nah
@gingermama29 so happy to see you over here!
@b_1029 is it weird that I think of the folks with BBTs as the “cool kids” in TTGP? So basically, everyone but me. 😂 I hope the additional info helps you feel empowered and in control of next steps!
@bows22 sorry for the BFN. And exciting to have some neighbor friend potential, just in time for summer!
@ReadyforaB tiktok has seriously impacted my sleep schedule recently, such a black hole of ridiculousness!
@gingermama29 that's awesome that the estimate is less than you expected. At some point we should probably start thinking about replacing our boiler. I think that was installed in 96 or something. It's reaching the maximum life span, that's for sure. Not looking forward to replacing it because they're kind of expensive!
@b_1029 did it not have Prime shipping or something? That's lame. Hopefully next cycle is much more straightforward with the addition of the BBT.
@ReadyForaB boy that is a long day! I would be exhausted.
Month/Cycle: 47/6 AL
CD/DPO: 24/9
Timing: -3, -1, 0
Typical LP length: 13 days
Testing: tomorrow if I don't chicken out again haha
R/R: I spent a ridiculous amount of my work day yesterday trying to fix the tunneling that had started on a new candle. I don't understand how this happens when they tell you to burn it for at least 4 hours (which I did!) and still ended up with tunneling. I didn't trim the wick though... but it's one of those wood wicks and I'm not sure exactly how I would trim that one. But anyway... let's just say I splattered wax on me trying the blow dryer method to fix the tunneling.... We'll see if the aluminum foil does its job this attempt at fixing it.
CS/Q: too lazy to get a screenshot today

@rachelredhead I can’t work without a 2nd screen now! Good luck and hope you enjoy the lake views.
@ReadyForaB I hope today flies by for you.
@gingermama29 thankfully the wax wasn't super hot so I didn't get burned or anything. So far it's looking good, but it's hard to tell with the wax being dark green. Melted vs not melted with this wax looks the same haha

@bows22 Sorry about the BFN. It still sucks, even if you kind of expected it. What are your next steps? Sorry, I know you have talked about it before. New neighbors sound fun! I am awkward and have a hard time making friends with neighbors, but I so wish I was. My husband is much better at it.
@gingermama29 Yay! I am so happy to see you over here. What a marathon this cycle has been for you. Also, boo to home stuff. It never ends
.
@b_1029 Enjoy your walk. I hope it helps turn your morning around.
@readyforaB LOL TicTok can suck ya in!
@rachelredhead That stinks, but at least you'll have good views! And maybe a boat ride?
@inthewoods23 I have no advice on how to deal with the tunneling candle, but I really love how dedicated you are to figuring this out

Month/Cycle: 4/3
CD/DPO: 25/8
Timing: Good
Typical LP length: 15 or 16 days
Testing: Trying to hold out until Friday. Probably tomorrow because I'm weak lol.
R/R: I don't really have a lot right now. I did get my nails done and I'm obsessed with the color. It might be my new goto. My rant is that I somehow tweaked my back yesterday. I am currently working from my couch because it is the only comfortable spot. Bending down to sit is killing me.
CS/Q: Nope
@rachelredhead I have 3 screens in the office and only my laptop + a portable monitor at home and it really isn’t the same! Hope you still manage to have a productive day!
@inthewoods23 yeah I’ll start birth control pills on CD1 so that we won’t have to worry about where I am in my cycle if a cancellation comes up. Hopefully it pays off and I get to take the spot of someone who ends up being at the wrong time of their cycle. Fingers crossed so hard for testing tomorrow!
@kgg2241 it’s okay, I know it’s impossible to keep everyone’s stories straight. I have to have a polyp removed before I can do an IUI so I’m going on birth control on CD1 so that we don’t have to worry about where I am in my cycle (has to be after AF but before CD14). Right now scheduled for the end of July/Early august but I’m on the cancel list so we will see. What is the nail color you have??
@bows22 Sorry for the BFN, but lol to the testing to tide you over for 3 months!
@gingermam29 I’m glad you had a productive visit from the new HVAC company!
@b_1029 Aw, I hate when the day starts that way. Hope you all get some good time together tonight.
@ReadyForaB Yikes, hope your long day goes by quickly.
@rachelredhead Haha, love your testing pep talk
@inthewoods23 I have no idea what you’re talking about with the candle, but I shall send you ignorant support in your quest!
@kgg2241 Yay for new nail color!

R/R: I have the day off tomorrow! Starting my “to do” list now in the hopes that I stay motivated tomorrow. Fortunately at least some of my chores involve working in our garden and outside, so hoping I can enjoy the beautiful weather.
CS/Q: Nope
@bows22 I'm really hoping it pays off for you too! Waiting sucks and it would be so exciting to get in sooner.
@abjm0325 candle tunneling is when the wax doesn't melt all the way to the edges of the container. I have no idea how it works, but candles have "memory" of how far out the wax melts so even if you burn them for a long time during future burns, the wax won't melt away across. Here's a step by step that illustrates what I did with the aluminum foil method:
I did end up getting the wax to melt all the way across the jar and about a cm deep so hopefully the candle doesn't require the aluminum foil anymore. I'll be keeping it around just in case.
