  • @eggsbene42 so happy everything looks good!  Our bodies are weird.
  • I found out today I have a small SCH.  I didn't expect that, so it threw me for a loop.  My OB isn't concerned, but is having me get another US just to check everything out and make sure baby is growing (and probably to shut me up because ive been calling her like 66775 times a day lol).  I will hopefully feel more confident and get more active with the group again once we have the US and I see things are looking good.  Just still anxious over here.
  • @eggsbene42 yay! So happy to hear all went well. So weird with the bleeding though. Hope that leaves soon.

@scaredunprepared You're in my thoughts. I know what its like not having my mind at ease. An answer for the bleeding is a good thing. Still waiting for my answer.
  • @eggsbene42- yayy for a great scan!!! So happy for you!

@scaredunprepared- I had a large SCH last pregnancy. It’s def stressful, but most resolve ok!! Have you had any bleeding. I’m glad they are watching you closely

  • Thank you, ladies for all the support.  @JamieH2000 it helps knowing yours resolved!  I had lots of bleeding about 2 weeks ago, then none for a while, but this morning it started again,  heavy.   It is also accompanied by sharp pain in my lower right abdomen that started last night and is still there if I cough or sneeze or move wrong.  So, that's a fun new layer to my anxiety :(  At least my next US is only 3 days away.
  • @scaredunprepared- ugh mine would come and go too :( I think it lasted some extent like 5.5-10 weeks. I’m sure you are, but take it easy. Pelvic rest and no heavy lifting. But I know it’s hard to just lay around!! Glad you have a scan still this week!

  • Finally had my u/s scan today. I did not get the results I was hoping for.
    ***TW***
I have to go back for a follow up scan in two weeks because nothing could be seen that looks like a baby yet. WTF? I am supposed to be 7 weeks today.
    ***end TW***
I am not happy. Am waiting to hear from my doctor about what he wants me to do.
  • Oh @ottergirl81, I'm so sorry. Was there anything in your uterus? Maybe dates are off (I'm not sure when you got your bfp)? Two weeks seems like a LONG time to wait. I'd push for another ultrasound in one week. Thinking of you and hoping somehow the dates are just off and it's still too early to see baby.

@ottergirl81 I am so sorry! I hope you get good news at your next u/s! Maybe the dating is just off? Or you ovulated late? I don’t know a lot about this, but I am thinking about you! ❤️
  • @ottergirl81 I’m very sorry to hear you did not get the news you wanted. Two weeks seems cruel to wait. I’m thinking of you!
  • @ottergirl81 I am sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for.  Is it possible their equipment sucks like it did at my ob?  I might request an US at a stand alone facility in a week if you can.  I am so sorry.  I could barely wait 2 days after the news I got at my first OB appointment, I dont know how they expect you to wait 2 weeks.

@ottergirl81 - I’m so sorry to hear you didn’t get more good news, two weeks sounds so far away. My last doctor did this to me and I wish I’d been more assertive about getting a new doctor, as this time my doctor has been really responsive to my concerns and not left me waiting like my last doctor did. Sending lots of ❤️ and hoping for more good news soon.

Thank you all for the positive thoughts. I don't think my dates are off or there was a mistake with equipment.
I'm going to leave this BMB and hope that you all have healthy pregnancies😊

Thank you all again for all the support and maybe one day I will have my rainbow🌈

I've had really light spotting the last few days and I have three weeks until my next appointment   :s
I know that spotting can be totally normal but PGAL has me feeling down. Trying to remember that I can't really do much either way so I kind of have to take it as it comes but my PGAL crazy brain makes me want to call my ob and be like "i have the tiniest bit of spotting please give me an ultrasound"  :D
  • @bkjade that's so hard. I mean it couldn't hurt to ask if it will put your mind at ease? I would if I was very concerned.

I'm in the midst of moving and packing and I lifted a laundry hamper full of clothes and other things and felt a twinge in my stomach. It made me very nervous. I have my 12 week scan on Wednesday so I'm trying to just be calm until I know what's going on. My symptoms have started to get better too. I'm not nauseous anymore so that change makes me scared too. It could be totally normal that my symptoms are starting to lessen though with where I am in the pregnancy.
  • bkjadebkjade member
@kaitcrystalline - yeah, i'm going to message and just let her know what's up, hopefully she’ll want to see me. If not, maybe I’ll press for it.
  • @bkjade I hope your ob listens and brings you in.  Hoping it's nothing!

@kaitcrystalline I am sure your lack of nausea is probably (hopefully) a sign that your past the worst of the 1st trimester ickies.
  • rgn12rgn12 member
@bkjade I had something similar happen last week, and went ahead and called just to let them know. In my case they said I didn’t need to come in unless I needed a pad, but it certainly can’t hurt anything to go in and get checked out. I plan to if mine comes back again!

Update! Had a big bleed so they asked me to come in today. Baby looks great, but I have a 2cm SCH. The ob (it’s a rotating practice and evidently I got this one on the wrong day 😬) wasn’t really helpful in understanding what that means “could be fine, could cause a miscarriage” 😑 but I at least have a reason for bleeding so am feeling good about that.
  • @bkjade I'm glad you were able to get a reason for the bleeding. I'm sorry that OB was so insensitive. Hoping the SCH doesn't cause any more issues and resolves on it's own.

@kaitcrystalline Hopefully you're just to the point where you won't be as nauseous anymore. I think it's pretty normal to feel round ligament pain when you lift something heavy or get up too fast. I get those twinges when doing things like that as well.

  • @bkjade- so I had a SCH over 2cm at 5,5 weeks. I did end up losing a twin at 7 weeks but it was more likely genetic issues (we didn’t pgs thiae embryos). With each week, the risk of loss goes down from an SCH since the placenta is more and more attached. I stopped bleeding around 10 weeks I think and SCH was gone by 12 week scan. I read a lot of scary stories but everyone I know on here and IRL has been ok with an SCH! Sorry the doctor wasn’t more reassuring!!

Hey guys! I’m still having blood-tinged discharge after several weeks. It’s been worse in the last few days, but nothing crazy. I’ve called my OB twice and messaged them once and they continue to tell me it’s normal. I even told them I was experiencing some abdominal pain and discomfort. Should I push this issue more, or just wait until my appt next Thursday? I guess there’s nothing they can do, but I feel like they should at least do an ultrasound to rule out issues. Feeling pretty frustrated right now. Maybe this is normal and it’s just my PGAL brain, but everything I read online says call your doctor immediately.
  • @rgn12 Is it worth going to the ER to check even for peace of mind?

@brookert615 it might be. It’s like $500 just to walk in the door though, so I’m hesitant unless I really start bleeding. My insurance is not that great. And of course we’re going into the weekend, so that will be my only option. I thought about checking with the family practice (they have some weekend hours) or urgent care to see if they have any ultrasound capabilities, but I don’t know!
  • @rgn12 This might be a shot in the dark based on your location but do they have those boutique ultrasound places near you? They're like 50 bucks for an ultrasound. I know there's like 3 that are local to me!

@brookert615 there actually is! I may look into that for reassurance until I can be seen. I think I’ve calmed down a little, I may see how I feel tomorrow.
  • bkjadebkjade member
@rgn12 - I feel you, I was in the same place last week. I was also told it was normal over and over, but the bleeding and cramping did not feel normal to me and I pushed it. They eventually gave me a visit and the both the ultrasound tech and doctor seemed annoyed to see me (the ultrasound tech said “I don’t see that much blood, why are you here? 🙀 and the doctor was really short with me). I ended up having a SCH, so there’s nothing I can do, but it was kind of a relief to know it wasn’t a miscarriage for at least today and that there was a reason for bleeding. I’m really glad I pushed it and advocated for myself and listened to my body telling me something was off (and you ladies were also a big part of me feeling like it was ok to ask for what I thought was necessary for myself!)

Also @brookert615 great idea on the boutique ultrasound place!
  • rgn12rgn12 member
@bkjade thank you! Yes, I think I’m going to monitor over the weekend and possibly reach out on Monday again if nothing crazy happens. Even if there is nothing they can do, it would be nice to have some sort of explanation for what’s happening.
  • rgn12rgn12 member
@scaredunprepared if it’s pretty heavy, do you think it might be worth it to go to the ER? I totally understand any reservations about that though, my insurance totally sucks and it would likely cost us an arm and a leg. I’m so sorry your bleeding picked back up again! Fingers crossed for you! ❤️
