Upcoming appointments: 5/27, no u/s unfortunately but we’re doing the MaterniT21 screening then.
How are you feeling?: I thought I was feeling better, but the last couple of days I have felt worse again. Not complaining though, hopefully it means everything is working as it should. Or at least that is what I am telling my PGAL brain!
Rants/Raves: I was craving Chinese food so bad, specifically lo mein noodles. I finally got it, and it was so disappointing and I was so sick afterwards. It ruined the entire day. Ugh! The one time I give into a craving and it’s so gross!

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. I found the heartbeat again on the doppler today, that made me very happy. Also, my daughter (almost two) brought me a Mother’s Day card this morning. She drew all over the envelope, sweetest thing ever.
How far along are you?: 10 weeks

How are you feeling?: Good! I discovered my prenatals were causing all my morning sickness, so I stopped taking them for now

How are you feeling?: like crap 90% of the time. So nauseas and exhausted. I’m really hoping to feel some relief with the second trimester soon!!
Rants/Raves: um, pretty much everything my husband does 🤦🏼♀️ With my first pregnancy it was the same, second one I was fine, and I think this one is going to be like the first- poor guy has a long 7 months to go!

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. DD1 apparently was very adamant about picking out flowers for me with DH today and picked a gravestone arrangement for me for Mother’s Day and I’m still laughing about it
Upcoming appointments: 10 week appointment on May 24.
How are you feeling? Mostly exhausted. Every task (putting on makeup, showering, etc.) seems so exhausting. I get bouts of nausea, but they’re very mild compared to other pregnancies.
Rants/Raves: I bought baby stuff. It’s starting to feel real now.

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. My kids all made me handmade cards, but my eldest made a list of things “thank you for” and it was super sweet.
How far along are you?: 7+2
Upcoming appointments: none yet. They won’t schedule one until I go in to confirm pregnancy through a blood test. I haven’t been able to make it to town during their office hours to do this yet.
How are you feeling?: pretty good, minus this never ending cold/cough that I have.
Rants/Raves: I’m ready for the weather to stay warm. I’m sick of this hot for a day cold for a day crap! AC one day, heater the next..

We told our girls the news and DD1 who is 5 was beyond excited came over and started hugging and kissing baby. She was like giddy. It was the cutest.
How far along are you?: 9+4
Upcoming appointments: May 26, June 10, June 26 (the joy of being high risk)
How are you feeling?: Currently feeling like crap physically (I hurt literally everywhere plus nausea), but emotionally probably the best I have so far!
Rants/Raves: my husband is picking up the slack so well since I feel like garbage so often, he is being such a rockstar dad!

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. My niece was totally loving on my husband and just being super sweet (she is usually very standoffish) and said "thank you for playing with me" and gave him a huge hug when we were leaving.

New prenatals (Ritual!) have been a game changer. Still averse to a lot of food, but able to keep them down and not vom. Win!

What are y’all doing for easy dinners? I’m so tired that we have ordered takeout almost every day and it’s just unsustainable 😹 To make matters worse, the thought of preparing food makes me 🤢

We recently adopted another dog from our local rescue and he’s all snuggled up next to his big brother. Two snuggly huskies 😻

How are you feeling?: blah. tired and feel like I have a rock in my stomach.
Rants/Raves: Every year DH forgets that he's supposed to get me a gift for mother's day - he thinks since I'm not his mom, he doesn't need to get me anything. Usually we discuss it BEFORE mother's day so he comes through in the end, but this year we didn't. So I didn't get anything, and he was all like "really? I've given you mother's day gifts before? But you're not my mom!"
I don't need a gift, I don't care, but it bugs me that he thinks mother's day is only for appreciating your own mom.

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. my daughter's been so cuddly and sweet lately, she follows me around everywhere which can be a tad annoying, but then she says that she wants to be with me all the time because "I just love you so much!"
@rgn12- i got chinese last week and lo mein noodles! it wasn't as good as i had hoped, but the beef and broccoli actually stayed in my stomach better than any other food!! so odd
How far along are you?: Today I am 9+5
Upcoming appointments: Next Thursday at 11+2. I will do the NIPT test. I think they try to check with the heartbeat with the doppler, but hoping she will bring in the portable ultrasound machine. I feel like it will be a little early for the doppler, since my uterus is so retroverted and tucked deep in my pelvis.
How are you feeling?: This weekend was BRUTUAL. Pretty much decided to skip mothers day and do it this summer. I threw up 6 times, which is a record for me
I have a head cold, so I think the drainage really messed up my stomach. I am feeling somewhat better today. Its almost disconcerting to feel ok at all after feeling so sick!
Rants/Raves: hmm nothing besides praying to feel better (but of course not too much since then PGAL brain!).

@bkjade: yes I second ritual! Despite my serious morning sickness, they are the only pills I take that don’t bother me.
How far along are you?: 9 weeks yesterday!
Upcoming appointments: Next Friday (5/21) hoping I get another ultrasound but we will see.
How are you feeling?: I think I may be turning the corner. I’ve been Mia for a few weeks because I was feeling so terrible and struggling to get through every day due to morning sickness. Weirdly the worst was the day after I got my second COVID vaccine shot — nausea can be a side effect and that plus existing morning sickness meant I couldn’t keep anything down. Finally messaged my OB who prescribed zofran, which did help me finally eat. But it’s been tough since then between pure exhaustion and nausea.
Rants/Raves: Really just going to rant about morning sickness and how terrible it can be. I had it last time, but this time is just awful.

How far along are you?: 7w6d
Upcoming appointments: Just had my first U/S yesterday! Got "released" from fertility clinic and moving on to OB! Blueberry looks good, hb 161. Next will be either my first visit with OB I requested a referral to, or NIPT U/S.
How are you feeling?: Garbage. I'm actually not that tired, but the nausea has me sidelined from most of life. Last pregnancy was opposite! Went to bed at 6:30-7pm (no kids at the time LOL) and had no nausea. I would have much preferred that!! I haven't thrown up yet but there have been so many close calls. DH doing all the work around the house, almost all bedtimes, and all the cooking/cleaning because the kitchen turns my stomach inside out.
Rants/Raves: I was SO motivated to be a champion eater/exerciser this pregnancy. We had been eating vegan for the weeks leading up to this pregnancy, but now all I can stomach is bread, rice, yummy processed carbs with minimal healthy additions. I've managed to walk on the treadmill a bit over lunch break but if I use too much incline, I'm spinning afterwards. Outdoor walks have been nice but we've had bad weather for weeks. It just sucks
2nd trimester will be mid-june, fx'd I can pull it together around then!

How far along are you?: 8 weeks on the dot today
Upcoming appointments: I have another ultrasound next Thursday to make sure baby is still ok and then I will graduate to my regular OB. Last appt baby's heart rate was 147 and measuring right on target.
How are you feeling?: Still have bouts or nausea but very mild. Tired and wishing I had more motivation and energy to workout. I usually snack most of the day and when it comes to dinner time I'm turned off by everything and nothing looks appetizing.
Rants/Raves: Rants - still living out of coolers and a mini fridge so we've been eating out every night. We don't have many options for food around us so I'm tired of the selection we have already. Raves - new fridge is coming tomorrow and we literally can't wait.

GTKY: Describe something that's made you smile today. My MIL took our kids last night so DH and I got to sleep in this morning BEFORE WORK and not rush to get the kids to daycare this morning. It was so nice.

How far along are you?: 6w6d
Upcoming appointments: my first appointment is June 1
How are you feeling?: so nauseous and miserable I don’t remember feeling like this with DD. My doctor prescribed Zofran but it’s not doing a whole lot. I might also try wearing those sea sickness bands to see if it makes any difference.
Rants/Raves: just tired of feeling sick. It’s really messing with my head and how I feel about this pregnancy right now.
Questions: has anyone used the sea sickness bands and have they helped?

How far along are you?: 11w 2d
Upcoming appointments: May 19 I have my 12 week appointment
How are you feeling?: not bad. Still nauseous and eating my days away. I have been waiting for the past half an house for it to be 11am and it's acceptable to eat lunch haha. I'm also feeling some anxiety. I cancelled my acupuncture appointment this week because the last 2 times I haven't felt great afterwards but now I'm nervous and superstitious that I should I just braved it out until I was 12 weeks.
Rants/Raves: I'm super frustrated with Covid. DS and I are suppose to be moving and joining DH who has already moved to Nova Scotia. But the province has put in restrictions that you can no longer move there. Legally I don't know how this is allowed but now we are stuck in limbo just waiting.
Questions: does anyone else get leg cramps during pregnancy and when do you start to wear compression socks? With DS I developed some spider veins in my legs. I would like to avoid this this time around

@PrettyPalomino I have become a vegetarian by default. Chicken and fish (the only meat i eat) makes me want to hurl. Last pregnancy I was the opposite. I was vegetarian until I got pregnant and all i wanted was chicken wings after my bfp 😂

On Monday afternoon, Nova Scotia clarified those rules after stories of travellers stuck at provincial boundary crossings began circulating. Some people will be allowed to apply for an exemption to enter on compassionate grounds if they can prove they bought or leased their new home before April 21, and have a closing date before May 20. Similar exemptions will be made for those carrying an employment letter dated by May 7 for a new job in Nova Scotia that cannot be done virtually or deferred.
I know its absolutely insane. They literally have homeless people living in their cars or staying in hotels at the border because they won't let them in. I can't apply for the compassionate entry because our closing date is June 3 so after the May 20 deadline. My best friend knows someone who applied, their closing date is May 21 and they were denied so they are living with friends at the moment here in Ontario with their 4 kids. I'm hoping Justin Trudeau pipes in and says they can't do this because it's against the Charter or Rights and Freedom. People are having mental breakdowns on the side of the road because they have their dog and cats and kids in the car with them and no where to go. Luckily I have my parents here, so I can live with them and I have my Midwives here so I'm not worried but it's still hard to be away from DH.
