TWW TUESDAY 4/4

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    CD/DPO: 18/3

    Timing: -1, O

Typical LP length: 14 days I think

Testing: I’m hoping to test the 13th because MH visits the 14th and if I do get pregnant I want to tell him in person preferably.

R/R: Im kinda bummed out because it’s raining here a lot this week. I need to clean the house and fold a mountain of laundry today though. My life never sounds super riveting haha. I am planning a trip to tybee island this October though if anyone has been there let me know you tips. We’ve never been. I think we may road trip to Charlotte or Savannah one day too.

CS/Q: I got woke up super early today it kinda jacked up my chart a tad.

@daisy0322 I've heard Tybee Island is nice, never been though.  Charlotte is fun too, there's a decent amount of stuff to do there.  We're planning a trip to Atlanta in October to visit the Aquarium and Coke World!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 14/1

    Timing: -5, -3, -2, -1, O

    Typical LP length: 13ish

Testing: I'm telling myself the 17th

R/R: I wish I'd been temping but my wake up times fluctuate quite a bit so I'm not sure it would be very accurate anyway

    CS/Q: Nothing right now

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, O

Typical LP length: 14-15 on avg I think

    Testing: Mothers Day

R/R: I am getting v frustrated with the weather here! Every time we plan something outside it rains. We thought it would be nice to plan a Mothers Day Brunch outside in our yard. It was looking good and now all of a sudden it doesn't look good. I know it is still early, hoping we can make a game time decision on Thursday. Otherwise wow ill cancel it and I will have to see my MIL in the morning and then my parents later in the day. So annoying.

    CS/Q: n/a

@jlbaker08 oh cool I’ve been to both there! It was years ago but very fun. My wake up tones are crazy I set an alarm for a time I’m usually sleeping and just do my best and my charts been okay. I think next month though I’ll set it just a little earlier.

@boymama2018 I hope you can work out your Mother’s Day plans! I forget where you are- are y’all still not supposed to have people in your house?

@daisy0322 we are in a NY suburb but I am not vaccinated and my husband has had 1 shot. I just don't want to risk anything since we are TTC and in the TWW ya know.

@daisy0322 I may have to try setting up an alarm for a super early time
    TW LC
the only problem is that I've got a scared of the dark 5 year old who refuses to go to the bathroom alone during the wee hours of the morning... so sometimes it's midnight, sometimes it's 2:30, 3:45, 4:54 (yesterday morning ugh). there's never really a safe time.

    @jlbaker08 TW LC

I feel you - my youngest is 16 months and still wakes up at least once a night sometimes to 3. It’s definitely hard! My 3 year old gets up rarely but he still has a nightmare occasionally he needs me for.

@boymama2018 yeah everyone just needs to do what they’re comfortable with definitely right now 😊

Hi ladies: just a reminder that while using TW for LC I’m the dailies is the right thing to do, we generally advise to minimize TW in dailies all-together unless absolutely necessary. And I know it’s a fine line but as example, there are folks on here who you wouldn’t know have LCs because they are never discussed in the dailies. The TFAS thread is great for discussing that. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

@daisy0322 sorry about the crappy weather! Hopefully it gets better soon. I haven’t travelled much on the East Cost of US, but I recently read a book that talked about Tybee Island and it sounded pretty gorgeous!

@jlbaker08 temping is only part of the story; I’m sure you could still temp to get a confirmation of O. Otherwise, you could try a wearable bbt thermometer. They’re expensive but could be appropriate in your circumstances.

@boymama2018 I hope you can figure out the Mother’s Day brunch situation. I actually forgot it’s Mother’s Day this weekend 🤦🏼‍♀️. Gotta set a reminder for myself to call my mom on Sunday.

    Month/Cycle: 16/16

    CD/DPO: 28/8

Timing: not great and I don’t care because we start IVF next cycle

Typical LP length: 15-17 days when supplementing with progesterone

    Testing: Nope

R/R: my dog went to the groomers yesterday and she is looking so pretty! The groomer LOOOVED her and took great photos. She’s such a cuddle bug.

Otherwise, I just got email from my fertility clinic got the pre-auth from insurance (only took 1 day!) so we’re all set for our intake appointment with RE #4 on Monday!

CS/Q: temp drop doing the temp drop thing and adjusting my temps. But they’re still staying high because of hcg + progesterone supplementation.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 22/5

    Timing: -4, -1

    Typical LP length: 15 days

    Testing: Mother's Day

R/R: Rant - I've been having some seriously WTF dreams for the past two or three weeks, but last night's takes the cake. I dreamt that a coworker and I were driving around Seattle in her pickup truck when we noticed that the bridge we were on was missing a piece so we had to floor it in order to make the jump. The bridge was really high and I was certain we were going to die, but we made it. Then we were trying to drive around all conspicuous-like because people were trying to find us and we wound up on another smaller covered bridge that hard a dark cavernous section that I was afraid to go into because I felt like it was haunted.

Rave - I've been on a really good running streak for the past couple weeks, so I feel really healthy. My pace has gotten back to normal for the most part, so I'm working on my mileage. As a distance runner, my sweet spot for mid-week runs is 3-5 miles, but nowadays I just don't have that kind of time. I'll be happy to get 2-2.5 on my mid-week runs, and then 3 or more on the weekends. I'll be really satisfied with that.

CS/Q: For those who experience O-pain, how long do you feel it for? I typically really notice it the day before O and then the next 2 days or so, but I'm still feeling it here at 5DPO, so I wasn't sure if I'm just being a wuss or not, lol.

    Lurking from wto

@babyodo I’ve had what feels like O pain in the TWW and my OB said it’s most likely a ruptured ovarian cyst. Harmless but annoying. Not sure if that’s what is happening with you but thought I’d mention!

@babyodo I'm jealous of your WTF dreams! Lol. There was a period in my 20's where I likened my dreams to the DaVinci Code and it was great waking up feeling like you've had a great adventure. Congrats on that running streak. I hope to get to the bottom of my knee issues and then get back into running. I miss it so much!

@babyodo my o pain is always right where my ovary is usually alternating sides each month. Lasts maybe 20 min tops it’s not u comfortable I can just notice it.... oh and it’s usually the day before I actually ovulate I think
  • Options
@babyodo (off and on with O day being the most) I feel it day before, day of and the next day or two after that usually! Do you think you could have O’d a few days later?

Good grief, I hope not! This TWW is already killing me, I'm so impatient, lol. I got a peak reading on my CBAD OPK the evening of the 28th, and that's when my O pain was the most noticeable/consistent. I have a functional cyst on my left ovary, so I'm thinking it just gets angry whenever I ovulate on that side. I didn't even notice any O pain last month.

@babyodo ohhh yeah then it def could have been the cyst. Or even a corpus luteum (sp?). Those sometimes give me some annoying O type pains. Its funny some cycles I don't feel much, some I feel A LOT and some I feel a bit. Along with the amount of EWCM it really varies.
