Re: WTO WEDNESDAY 5/5

  • Pretty sure I’m back over here now

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD: 19

    WAYDTGKU: PNV BBT OPK CM

R/R: Im grumpy about my chart but MH will be home tomorrow night and I’m looking forward to seeing him.

CS/Q: My charts drastically dipped back down and premom has my OPK as high this morning so I’m guessing I failed to ovulate. Hopefully this time it’ll happen. I’m guessing this isn’t a good sign but I’m trying to be hopeful that it will happen.

  • Loading the player...
  • @daisy0322 ugh that’s so frustrating. Sorry your body isn’t cooperating.

    Month/Cycle: 23/2 AL

    CD: 62

    WAYDTGKU: NTNP, temping

R/R: I called the nurse’s line at my doctor’s office again yesterday afternoon since I hadn’t heard back yet. I guess the nurse had been out of office on Monday but she passed along what was going on to my doctor who was seeing patients all day yesterday. She said I should hear from him on Thursday. So with my luck, I’ll O today or tomorrow😂

    CS/Q:

  • @daisy0322 that's frustrating, I'm sorry. I hope you ovulate soon.

@gingermama29 fingers crossed for either O or a fast answer from the doctor!

    Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD: 21

WAYDTGKU: opks bbt, cm, cinnamon supplements

R/R: the end is near! of the semester. Had my last exam before finals this morning, just one more class today and then off for the rest of the day. Today's my husband's birthday but he works in the evening so we're going to celebrate with burgers for lunch and cake.

CS/Q: usual wackiness. I feel like this time of year is weird for temps because the temperature in my bedroom can fluctuate by a solid 10 degrees F day to day.

    Month/Cycle: 29/33

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, tracking CM, BBT

R/R: Biopsy was fine yesterday - quick and easy. She said that they used to say 7-10 days for results but it’s been more like 3-5 lately. But  it could still take 7-10. Sooo basically anywhere from 3-10 haha? But I should know by the end of next week which is fine. It’s my last day of my conference and it ends a little early so I am going to try to get a pedicure after! This was my main “treat yourself” activity before covid so I clearly haven’t been able to do it in awhile. But I’m vaccinated and have a wedding this weekend so I think it’s time!

CS/Q: not much yet, but I slept all night without waking up thinking I had to temp so that’s a win

  • bows22bows22 member
@daisy0322 ugh I’m sorry about your chart! I’m glad YH will be back home so you get another shot!

@gingermama29 geez how many days does he need to catch up?!? Haha kidding, hopefully you hear from him bright and early tomorrow!

@fantasyflyte yes I agree with you on the fluctuating temps. I temp vaginally and feel like when I have a blanket my temp is always too high. But hopefully you’ll still be able to see the shift!
  • @fantasyflyte happy birthday to YH. And yay for the end of the semester!!

@bows22 glad everything went well yesterday! FX for wick reasons!

AFM my doctor’s office just called. He is fine with ending this cycle but needs me to POAS to confirm I’m not KU and wants to do some hormone testing. I asked about starting Letrozole after I end this cycle and she said he hadn’t indicated it in his note but she would definitely check into it for me.
  • bows22bows22 member
@gingermama29 🙄 I despise doing the nurse playing the messenger thing with doctors. I get it, but I hate it haha. At least you get to move on from this cycle!
  • @bows22 glad it went well and fingers crossed for quick results

@gingermama29 awesome, I'm glad you were able to get ahold of the doctor and that an end to this cycle is in sight
  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, vitamins

R/R: I’m going back to the gym for the first time in over a year today. I’m glad to be able to do it and hopefully get myself moving more, but I’m a little freaked out and hope it isn’t too busy. Also, I remembered to start OPKs this morning! Remembering when I’m still half asleep is always a win.

    CS/Q: None yet

@daisy0322 I’m sorry your chart is being confusing. Hopefully you get some clear signs about what is going on soon.

@gingermama29 Glad your doctor got back to you! Hope you’re able to start the next cycle soon.

@fantasyflyte Have fun celebrating your husband today! Do you mind sharing what the cinnamon supplements are for?

@bows22 Glad the biopsy went well. Enjoy your pedicure!

  • Woo, y'all are up early this morning. I'll do tags in the next post.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 5

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, PNV

R/R: I have a headache today, so that's not pleasant, but I am getting a fair bit of work stuff done this week, so that is.

    CS/Q: Nope.

  • @daisy0322 ugh, I'm sorry your cycle is being wacky this month. that's frustrating.

@gingermama29 glad your doctor got back to you!

@fantasyflyte enjoy celebrating YH birthday! that sounds fun, and hooray for almost the end of the semester.

@bows22 I'm glad to hear that the biopsy went well, and 3 - 10 days isn't a particularly long wait; I hope it's on the 3 end for you.

@abjm0325 ooh enjoy the gym! I hope it's not too crowded for you.
  • comin' in hot today!

@daisy0322 glad your husband is en route!
@gingermama29 glad you got some news going in the right direction!
@fantasyflyte yay for almost being done!
@bows22 glad the biopsy went well, and pedis are also my favorite "me time" splurge
@abjm0325 i hope the gym is a stress reliever! not an adder!
@beakay8 hope your head feels better!

    Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: ntnp

R/R: well the downpour of rain last night and today will surely keep my ferns happy campers. also - husband reversed the ceiling fan in our bedroom and oh boy, what a difference! i know some people think that's total bs, but i think it works!

    CS/Q: nada

  • @anniemarie887 I think it depends on the type of fan, but there are definitely fans designed like that to change air flow and whether it's going up or down. Hooray for a better air flow for y'all! That's life changing.

This did randomly remind me that when we moved into our home, there were zero ceiling fans in it, which is ludicrous because we live in south central Texas, and ceiling fans are life if you don't want an outrageous A/C bill all year long. The very first home ownership thing we did was buy a ceiling fan for the living room and every bedroom. We looked absurd. So many ceiling fans.
  • Thanks everyone I’m really just being optimistic- there’s a very good chance I won’t be able to pregnant but charting could really up the odds.

@gingermama29 ugh I’m sorry this OB plan is frustrating I hope your O holds out.

@fantasyflyte yay for the end of the semester!

@bows22 enjoy your pedicure ❤️ That’s one of my favorites too

@abjm0325 getting back to the gym and feeling more active is always nice i hope it’s not too crowded for you.

@beakay08 we arre up early today! I’m up early quite a bit these days but I was surprised to see so many others too
  • @daisy0322 that's so frustrating!

@gingermama29 I'm totally with @bows22 that the phone tag/messenger with the nurse, the doctor and back is annoying! Hoping you can get a new cycle started soon.

@fantasyflyte wait... last exam BEFORE finals? As in you still have more tests for a class?? UGH

@bows22 3 days sounds way better than 10! I think my biopsy results came in 10 days way back when. Although it sounds like they had the results sooner and just never called me to tell me. I wonder if test results are coming back sooner because of the whole baby bust thing so there's less in the pipeline. Enjoy the pedicure!
31 Easy Ways to Treat Yo Self BWStewartcom

@abjm0325 pat yourself on the back for taking an OPK woo! Lol I patted myself on the back for remembering to take my temp today haha.

@beakay8 way to power through the headache! Got any Tylenol you can take to help?

    Month/Cycle: 6 AL

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: temping, opks, CM, GF/DF diet

R/R: Rave - I'm stupidly excited to take my cat to the vet today for her yearly wellness check. Mostly because it's something different to do. I will get to be on a video call during the appointment so that'll be nice this time around. DH refuses to believe she's going to be in the double digits next year :D . Rant - I picked up Chili's for dinner last night and somehow they forgot to give us DH's rice! What the heck lol. At least the awesome blossom pedals that are a buck extra as a side were included. I need to remind myself to ask for more than 1 container of salsa in the future. The bag of chips lasts us 2 or 3 meals but we always finish the salsa in one. Yet if I'm sitting in the restaurant they're more than happy to bring out an extra salsa. It's my favorite restaurant salsa.

CS/Q: I remembered to temp woohoo!! The last time I forgot to temp that wasn't due to being sick was the month after my failed transfer in Sept 2019. I have had a few "oh shit I got out of bed, walked to my closet, and forgot to temp" moments between there lol.

  • @inthewoods23 Yeah, I just took tylenol. Sometimes my head hurts from poor sleep, but that usually disappears pretty quickly once I'm up and moving around. Sorry that Chili's forgot your DH rice! And yes, I feel like takeaway salsa should always default to extra large. Like, you bring me endless salsa at the restaurant. At least throw two in the to-go bag.

Are you all east coasters?? I feel like by the time I get up and get to my computer I'm already behind lol.

@Daisy22 That is so frustrating. I hope you get a better idea of what is going on and hopefully you did ovulate!

@gingermama29 I feel like there is a shortage of OBGYNs and staff. It takes so long to hear back or get in. I hope you hear back soon!

@fantasyflyte Yay for the end of the semester! One step closer!

@bows22 Enjoy your pedicure!! Sounds lovely!

@abjm0325 Have a good time at the gym! I need to get back too. There is a big mental block for me though. Good luck!

@anniemarie887 I agree -- it does make a difference. Glad you switched it in time for summer.

@inthewoods23 I worked at Chilis through college and I can promise you that most people ask for extra salsa. Not weird at all. Also, I feel like I should hate Chilis because I worked there, but I love that place. We do date nights there a lot and just go and get chips and salsa and margaritas.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

R/R: I made DH go get us Starbucks this morning and it is wonderful. Rant... Honestly not a lot right now. Talk to me again when I *think* ovulation is getting closer and I can't figure out what the heck is going on.

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @inthewoods23 i am the worst at remembering to check carry out orders, you would think a year of doing only carry out would have trained me better
@kg2241 hope you enjoy your coffee! i went with a venti this morning to ward of the sleepy feeling from this rain!

I’m the worst...said I’d come back yesterday and never did. DH got sick from starting some new antibiotics which meant I had to do everything last night since men are helpless when sick 😅

    Month/Cycle: 2

    CD: 13

    WAYDTGKU:  OPKs, CM, PNV

R/R: according to the Premom app, I haven’t gotten a positive OPK yet. It was lighter yesterday but I also didn’t hold my fluids as much. Hoping it’s darker today but I’m not super positive about this cycle anyway between the fact DH was sick yesterday / we were fighting and so far have only had sex on CD 11 🤷🏼‍♀️ What can you do I guess. Don’t have any raves for today as I’m pretty crabby. Last night DH was supposed to play volleyball and I was going to get some time to myself. His new medicine made him sick so he was freaking useless and not only did I not get alone time, I had to do everything last night 😐 it’s amazing how he can have 0 responsibilities while sick and if I’m sick, it’s like business as usual...it makes me so resentful.

    CS/Q: nothing to see

  • b_1029b_1029 member
@daisy0322 aww I'm sorry, hope your body gets it together!

@gingermama29 that's annoying it took them so long to get back to you! I'm glad you finally heard back. What all is he planning to test?

@fantasyflyte yay! glad the end of the semester is almost here. I hope you have fun celebrating YH's birthday, burgers and cake sound amazing.

@bows22 I'm glad the biopsy went well! Was it painful at all / are you feeling ok today? Hope you get the results back sooner rather than later. I hope you're able to get a pedicure and treat yoself!

@abjm0325 ahhh getting back to the gym is so hard, but you've got this! Hopefully there aren't a ton of people!

@beakay8 sorry about your headache. I'm not good at being productive when my head hurts, so props to you for getting stuff done

@anniemarie887 I've never reversed a fan before but glad it helped! That reminds me that I want to get a fan in our new bedroom like we had in our old one...it was such a lifesaver

@inthewoods23 haha it's crazy the things we get excited for now that are cause to leave the house. I do love Chili's bottomless chips...mmmm so good

@kgg2241 yay for Starbucks. Always a good start to the day when you don't have to make coffee yourself.
  • @beakay8 like I said, I definitely need to make myself a note to ask for multiple because we are definitely the scooper types with this salsa haha. None of this lame dipping some people do.

@kgg2241 I'm a midwesterner but I'm also up by 6:30. Helps to be a morning person lol. Chili's > Applebees haha. The chips and salsa are just amazing

@anniemarie887 and sometimes it's just a pain in the ass to check! Like how the heck am I going to remove all these to go containers to make sure every single thing is there and arranged as I asked. If anything, I just check to make sure the number of containers/bags makes sense. I saw 2 to go containers with our entrees and the bags of chips so I figured we were good to go!

@b_1029 did you decide yet on your gutter color? I struggle so much with me being sick vs DH being sick. I naturally have a caretaker kind of love language so I'm always asking DH if I can get him anything etc when he's sick, but he never really does that for me when I'm sick - which is almost never anyway! So even when I am sick, I can't help but take care of myself because dammit I'm an independent woman and am self-sufficient! If I honestly asked DH to take care of this and that while I'm sick on the couch it just won't get done. 100% with you on the resentment.

@inthewoods23 he tries to help me, but that help consists of him asking "are you ok / alive / gonna make it" 30000x and it just annoys me more. What would be helpful is if you just left me alone to rest, thanks!!! We are probably just going to end up playing it safe and keeping the gutters brown. If we were going to repaint the trim as well now, I'd be more willing to change it up, but I'm too scared of how it'll look with the brown. I think black would look nice against the rock though.

@abjm0325 enjoy getting back to the gym today!! I hope it’s not too nuts.

@beakay8 I hope your headache feels better, but glad it’s not making you get behind on work. That’s the worst because having to take time off for being sick sucks.

@a@anniemarie887 ohhh that’s interesting about your ceiling fan! I had never heard that but it makes sense to me.

@in@inthewoods23 oh that’s the worst when there is something missing from your to go order! I haven’t had chili’s in forever and now I want those honey BBQ tenders or whatever the sauce is.

@kgg@kgg2241 working from home is definitely a downgrade in the caffeine department so it’s nice to go get something fancy every once in awhile! And yes I’m an east coaster but I also only mobile bump so I usually post before I’m at my computer, sometimes when I’m still in bed procrastinating getting up haha

@b_1@b_1029 the biopsy didn’t hurt. I definitely could feel it more than the SHG, but that’s not saying much because I couldn’t feel the SHG at all. But I’ve felt totally normal since it’s over other than some spotting. I’m sorry that your alone time got messed up last night!! That’s annoying. Is this a long course of antibiotics like are you going to have to deal with this for multiple days?

@inthewoods23 I will fight anyone who says Applebees is better than Chili's  :D

@b_1029 Ugh, I know they can't help it, but I can't handle DH when he is sick. Sorry you are dealing with that and missed your alone time.

We sure are busy busy busy again today! Will tag in separate comment.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: pnv, cm/cp, bbt, cbad/opk

R/R: my body feels so light and less tense after all the thesis stuff but it has definitely messed with O. see question below.

CS/Q: ETA chart. so usually by now I have a few days of CBAD High but this month it's been all Low. opks are still reading low but that's normal for me at this point. temps are doing this weird curve thing. has anything like this happened to anybody else? I'm just hoping I O before I leave next Friday.

  • @abjm0325 I don't mind! I have PCOS and my obgyn wanted me to start drinking cinnamon tea to help with ovulation. I couldn't find one I liked, so I take the cinnamon as a supplement instead. I think it's supposed to help with blood sugar processing or somehow, which I know can be an issue in PCOS.
@beakay8 headaches are the pits, I'm sorry.
@anniemarie887 so is it pulling air up now instead?
@inthewoods23 yep, I had an exam in one class Monday, and another today, and now have all 5 finals next week, including 3 of them on Thursday. Fuuuuuuuuuuun times.
@kgg2241 nice on the starbucks, and I definitely feel you on the chart thing.
@b_1029 I hope your husband feels better soon. I'm sorry everything got pushed onto you.

@bows22 I’m glad it didn’t hurt! I still don’t understand the difference but my HSG was pretty uncomfortable. He’s on a med for high triglycerides but he ran out so I guess his body is getting used to it again? Idk, he said he felt crappy last time he started it too but all his man illnesses blend into one for me 😆

@kgg2241 i can’t handle him either. He laid down the moment he got home from work and at like 9 I was sitting in bed playing around on my phone, finally alone, and he walked in with a pitiful look on his face. I was immediately annoyed. Like go away, I don’t want to hear about it anymore after hearing about it all day and you not taking anything to make yourself feel better. Best wife ever lol but he truly is so helpless and it annoys me so much.

  • @bows22 glad the biopsy went well! sounds like that pedicure is well deserved :) do you like to have your nails painted too?
@daisy0322 yay for YH being back soon! hopefully your body will let you know you O soon.
@gingermama29 fx for O very very soon!!!! glad you finally heard back from the DR but sorry it was such a headache.
@fantasyflyte YAY for ending the semester and taking some time off! date with cake and dinner is a perfect way to celebrate IMO :)
@abjm0325 one step a time, transitioning back into working out again is tough but that's the first step!
@beakay8 headaches are the worst :( hope it resolves soon and you get to enjoy the day at least a little
@anniemarie887 yay for happy ferns and for large coffees lol
@inthewoods23 eyyy back on the temp train!\
@kgg2241 same, I'm in Seattle so I log in and immediately feel overwhelmed. fx for O soon :)
@b_1029 I'm the same way with MH on the whole "I've tried to take care of you but you didn't want me to help and now you're suffering but you chose that my dude" thing. I hope he feels better soon, for his sake and your sanity's sake and for HIO as O gets closer ;) brown or black gutters sound cool! better than the bright white ones IMO

  • @beakay8 Hope your headache goes away soon!

@anniemarie887 Hm, I’ll try to try the ceiling fan reversal. We have one in the bedroom but rarely use it.

@inthewoods23 Haha, we have to take credit wherever we can in this process! I also want good restaurant salsa now…

    @kgg2241 Yay for Starbucks!

@b_1029 I’m sorry you’re feeling crabby; I also feel resentful about the uneven treatment while sick sometimes. I hope you can take some time to yourself to recharge tonight.

@chgilmore I don’t have any knowledge to help you out, but hope you have O signs soon!

@fantasyflyte Thanks for the cinnamon info!

Random: The gym was good! Just a few other people there and everything felt pretty safe. Definitely out of shape though.

  • @abjm0325 you did it! that's the hardest part. keep in mind too that if you had to wear a mask, it's going to feel a lot more difficult than before as you expand your lung capacity to exercise with it on. it was really tough for me when I started
  • @kgg2241 I will always remember the lunch DH and I had on a work day. There's almost no one in the restaurant and yet our lunch took like an hour and a half! And poor DH had gotten a spicy shrimp taco entree and NEVER had his drink refilled! It was awful

@chgilmore O being delayed is certainly common if there's a moment of high stress. *tw* as an example, seeing the pregnancy announcement from my cousin a couple years ago *end tw* caused a high enough emotional response from me that O ended up being delayed 5 days. And since for you this stress was over the last couple days I can definitely understand the reproductive system taking a back burner for a few days. I wouldn't be too worried unless it's suuuper late.

@fantasyflyte that's too many examples in one day if you ask me!!

  • @abjm0325 kudos to you for going back to the gym! Hopefully you’ll be able to keep yourself motivated!

@beakay8 hope your headache goes (went) away quickly!

@anniemarie887 I’ve never heard of reversing a ceiling fan! Is it supposed to make it run more efficiently?

@inthewoods23 I hope the wellness visit at the vet goes well! And boo to then forgetting the rice!

@kgg241 yup, east coaster here! Hopefully O will be here soon for you!

@b_1029 ugh that sounds so frustrating about last night. Sorry you didn’t get any me time and had to do everything. Hopefully he’ll make it up to you. I’m not sure what exactly he’s planning to test. The nurse just said hormone testing. 🤷‍♀️

@chgilmore ugh I hate how stress messes with O.

  • @fantasyflyte , @gingermama29, @abjm0325re the ceiling fan: so when you make it counterclockwise you create a downdraft and it pushes more cool air down toward you

  • bows22bows22 member
@chgilmore definitely think the delay can be from stress. After you ovulate, I’ve read it has to be pretty major stress to mess with your LP but delaying ovulation is more normal. Or maybe you will just get fewer high readings before your peak for some reason? I wouldn’t worry about it just yet. And no I don’t like to get my nails painted because then I can’t look at my phone 😂.
  • @bows22 that makes sense with FP vs LP and stress - thanks :) I hear you on the no mani! do you paint your toes or do you just go for the massage and human contact? because while I do enjoy the paint...it is not required lol
@gingermama29 fx everything turns out okay w/ the hormone testing and that this extra long cycle is just a (very annoying and confusing) fluke.
@inthewoods23 is your new profile pic of the teeny ferns?!?!?!?
  • bows22bows22 member
@chilgmore oh yes I get my toenails painted during the pedicure! Just don’t like to get my fingernails done.
  • @chgilmore annoyingly, my cycles are almost always like this. They range from 35-100 days and there’s really no way to ever know how long they’re going to be. PCOS sucks
  • @chgilmore haha no. This one was actually there all along. We just didn't know about it until we cleared the area out in preparation for these new ferns. All our established/mature ferns have fronds popping up and unfurling. The ones we planted won't start coming up for another week or 2.

Kitty cat update - clean bill of health! And I had an excuse to actually use Dog Mode in my car since DH asked me to pick up more mulch while I was out. Quick in and out picking that up so there's no worry about leaving her in the car. Also it's not even 60 outside so Dog Mode was kind of pointless. But I got to use it!

  • @inthewoods23 ah okay gotcha, well they look so neat and it's going to be so lush if this one is the example fern. your car has dog mode?!? that's so cool! definitely makes sense, but I love that you have that feature option
@gingermama29 ooof I'm sorry :( it sounds so confusing and stressful.
  • @chgilmore yeah Dog mode keeps the car's A/C on while you're away and has a note on the screen that says "my owner will be back soon. It is X degrees in the vehicle" or something to that affect. It's so people don't go smashing your windows on a hot summer day thinking you've locked your pet in the car with an interior of 100+ degrees.
