Anything art/craft related, but I jump around between different crafty stuff a lot. I'm currently getting back into crocheting because I want to make DS and the baby a couple of new blankets.
it’s soon summer around here. I love growing plants. I’ve scaled back a lot this year. Just focusing on propagating the strawberry plants to have a bigger produce next year. I have a balcony garden that dies every winter and turns into a greenery against the concrete every summer. This year I will have a not-so-helpful helper to hang out with. She has been ploughing my frozen-over pots with her beach set , which I hope, will save me quite some work 😂
@artsiefartsie a couple of year ago I crocheted an aviator hat for my husband. I was supposed to make a matching one for our future child, but the miscarriages discouraged me. Would be a great project now to crochet similar hats for the whole family.
I guess my hobbies are baking and sewing. I have always liked baking, and I learned to sew like two years ago. I mostly sew cute little dresses for my daughter. I can knit a little. I would probably say hiking too but we don't live in a place with good hiking anymore so I never do that now.
@RoseShadow873 what do you like to bake? I love baking, but really have only had enough time to perfect chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies.
@doodleoodle I bake all kinds of things and I'm always hoping to try to bake new things that I never made before. Cakes, cookies, muffins, bagels, scones, pretzels, tarts, macarons, merengues, cinnamon rolls, different kinds of breads. Ciabatta is the bread I try to bake the most and I'm still trying to figure out how to get it perfect. I want to learn to make croissants but I think those take quite a while to make so I haven't even tried.
Jealous of those of you that are good at the fabric crafts! I've tried to learn to crochet for 3 winters and a pandemic but I haven't got the hang of it, likely because of my attention span.
I basically enjoy a hobby farm, various animals, gardening and what not. I don't make any money from it but I enjoy it for sure. But I also enjoy panting, I just wish I had more space to be able to do it more often. I was an art major once upon a time and that's one part I kept coming back to.
Used to be yoga, hiking, reading and baking. But haven’t done any of those things in the last 3 months. Looking forward to being able to get back to some of those things!
You all have such awesome hobbies! I tried knitting DD a blanket before she was born....it’s sitting in a bag somewhere tangled and unfinished haha. Maybe I’ll find some time before this baby comes to untangle and finish it. 😂
@RoseShadow873 you’re my hero too! DH tried making croissants during quarantine last year and they did not turn out right...I’ll just stick to buying them from the bakery!
I've been involved in gymnastics in some form or another most of my life - most recently judging competitions (precovid). I'm also a movie knitter... made a baby blanket for my first that I finished a week before she came and then with my son, I didn't finish his until his 2nd birthday... these twins probably won't get theirs until college haha
I used to crochet all the time! Ive made blankets for all my nieces and nephews and friends babies other than the most recent twins. I haven't crocheted in about a year, but definitely want to get back into it. I also like working out, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, although I haven't been able to do any of that for the last 2 months. Hoping I can start some of it back soon. I also used to paint and draw. I painted a mural when I was in high school for my dad's coffee shop that they used on their logo for their beans. I haven't done anything like that in a LONG time, but I love halloween so I've transformed my love of painting/crafting into making at least one homemade halloween decoration every year. My goal is to have our whole yard basically be a haunted house in a few years.

I garden, write stories, and make hand-made greeting cards.
