I'm on a MAJOR work project that originally had a "report put out May 3" date and was tentatively changed to "final report put out April 26" but the dates were still 'pending approval' on Friday (so who knows WHAT date anything is coming out). Coworker was out ALL last week. First thing this morning is all "What did I miss?" Me: Read yo damn 800 emails, figure it the F out, and then ask more specific questions. I ain't got TIME to rehash an entire week of crazy changes to yo lazy butt!?!?
I think she was hoping the answer was "Not much. X and Y. You're good." But like... NOooo... AND the 800 emails shoulda been a CLUE yo!?

A family member's weird, controlling wife (that I don't like, but that's beside the point) has decided they're TTC but is counting from like the first minute she had the thought that maybe her biological clock is ticking 2 years ago, so now that they've been medically cleared to actually start trying next month, she's already whining about her "2 year journey TTC" in her TTC IG. And here I am 3+ years on, 8 medicated cycles, 2 IUIs, IVF, 1 failed FET, 2 miscarriages, and partway through a second IVF cycle and I'm like NOPE go fuck yourself, that's not 2 years honey. That's TTA for 2 years. Talk to me at the end of your first month, THEN you can say you've been TTC for a SINGLE month.

@kiki047 I'd be like "cry my a f*cking river b*tch". My friend has a similar story with someone in her husband's family. Whining about struggling to get pregnant after a couple years but apparently she's been changing her mind every couple months so they only ever actually TTC for 3-4 months at a time with long breaks in-between. That's downright insulting to the people who have actually been actively trying that whole time. @jlbaker08 definitely hard to emphasize with. Like she tried to relate to my IF by saying that she's been "wanting to try" for so long too. Nuh uh, nope, no thanks, not the same thing. @daisy0322 I also wouldn't wish IF on anyone but I do think it's a humbling experience to have to work at something for a while before you're successful. TTC is no exception. @inthewoods23 loll I just can't with some people. @bows22@stormageddon-darklordofall I'm going to be real salty if they get KU right away. Like mega salty. And maybe I'll get flamed for this but like, she's morbidly obese with a slew of related health issues and he's a beer drinking, pot-smoking, McDonald's eating sloth so it's not like they're in prime shape for TTC. We're not picture perfect healthy but we've made some massive lifestyle changes to try to improve our fertility and all we get are losses from perfect, genetically normal embryos. So yeah, I'm a Bitter Betty and it'll only get worse if they beat us to it.

Email alert for a job that I'm (over)qualified for in most aspects but slightly underqualified in other aspects, and I would say "hard to say which bits are more important" but the recruiter emailed back immediately pointing out the one area where I am, admittedly, slightly underqualified. Eh. The position's listed salary is double what I make now, so you gotta shoot that shot.
Edit to add: recruiter followed up to ask me to revise some wording in my resume to hit the keywords, and then asked me to resubmit. Huh.
@beakkay a mentor of mine once told me every man who reads a job description immediately sees his qualifications and every woman immediately sees her disqualifications. It’s a generalization but I think it’s often true, too. And the fact that the recruiter asked you to reframe some experience is a good sign. You clearly have skills they’re interested in, but they want those skills categorized or expressed in a certain way.
I have been smacked over the head with the PMS blues and anxiety. Argh.
But thanks everyone for the well-wishes for the job application. I need to look at it closer and really see if it feels like a fit now that the recruiter has circled back with me.
