Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Wednesday 4.14

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. WAYDTGKU: NTNP, temping

R/R: I had my observation today by my principal. She got to see a kindergarten lesson and it went really well. I always enjoy having her pop classes. I’ve decided to take Friday as a personal day and makes day trip to go see my parents and grandpa. It’ll be nice to have a self-made long weekend.

    CS/Q:

  • @gingermama29 I'm glad you're getting the chance to have a long weekend and see family <3

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 18

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm/cp, pnv

R/R: minor rant, I didn't give myself time this morning to make coffee or to buy it on the way to work so I made the 30 min (it felt like a long time okay) commute on no caffeine and then the coffee that is usually available at work wasn't so I had to make it and managed to drink it just in time for the delayed caffeine headache to settle in. sending apologies into the universe to whoever's the owner of the creamer I stole.

CS/Q: should get FF crosshairs tomorrow, on the 2nd or 3rd day of elevated temps after getting both CBAD peak and OPK peak on Monday

R/R: I am having constant arm/skin reactions to my first dose of moderna which I got 10 days ago.  Finally went to the doctor yesterday and was told I have an infection.  ugh!  Come on!

CS/Q: nope.  Just still waiting to O.

@gingermama29 Glad you had a nice observation! And YES for self-made weekends. I just saw a tweet yesterday that went something like "normalize NOT telling your boss why you need a day off."

@chgilmore Ooph; rough start to your day. I'm sure the owner of the creamer is a forgiving soul.

    Month/Cycle: 16/16

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: starting a Mediterranean diet as IVF prep; so many supplements and vitamins for both MH and I; and as this is a natural cycle for us, doing the needful: bbt, opk, hio eod.

R/R: Finally this morning I sent in docs to get my name changed to my married name. I managed to get through to the local SSA office on Monday, hoping to score an in-person appointment (<5 min wait on the phone; I had tried last week and gave up after being on hold for 2.5hrs) only to be told that they're accepting name change applications by mail only. You'd think that would be a good thing to put on their website to save ppl from calling and clogging up their phone lines. Blergh. Anyway, hopefully I get my new SSN shortly and get officially start changing my name everywhere.

CS/Q: My temps are running low which is making me think I might O sooner rather than later, but I've never O'ed before Day 14, and the last natural cycle, I didn't O until Day 20. I started testing with the CBAD today and got a negative.

  • @ReadyForaB oof that's rough! hopefully it's a quick fix kind of infection. on the rash I read that it can be a good sign as far as your developing immunity goes, though that probably doesn't make the rash less irritating :(

@acleverusername I saw that same tweet! I'm not quite bold enough yet to not give any details, but I have stopped asking for accommodations/time off and have started informing alongside a short reason. on changing your name, I still haven't changed my name everywhere and it's been 5 and a half years! (I got my SSN and license changed and did it at school and such, but a couple of my credit cards, my passport, and one student loan servicer haven't gotten the update yet lol). and keeping fx you get an earlier O :)
  • @chgilmore Yea, the initial rash might have been good but what I am dealing with now the doctor says is infection sooo I am on antibiotics. ugh! Hoping it doesn't happen the second time around.

  • @chgilmore oof that sounds like a rough morning. Hopefully the caffeine headache didn’t last too long.

@ReadyForaB sorry to hear about the infection. Will that prevent you from getting the second dose?

@acleverusername oooh I like that tweet. I’m lucky to have an amazing boss though and I told her exactly what was going on, especially since I had technically missed the window for requesting a personal day. That’s so frustrating about the name change. That definitely should’ve been in the automated message or on their site.
  • edited April 2021
@acleverusername like @chgilmore I did change my name pretty promptly, but not everywhere.  I think the main thing I need to do is get a new passport.  For you know, all the wild international travels I'm anticipating... 🙄🙄🙄

@ReadyForaB. Yuck!  I'm so sorry, that sound so uncomfortable!  Hope the abx knock it out quickly.

@gingermama29 great job on the observation!

  • @gingermama29 nope! My doctor said to go ahead with the second shot it and that it wasn’t the actual vaccine but either from the needle (yuck) or something I came in contact with directly after. So who knows. I got it at a hospital so I’m pretty disgusted. I just started antibiotics yesterday and it’s almost completely cleared up though.

@BusinessWife my thermometer takes forever every morning I hate it!

  • @ReadyForaB possibly from the needle?! that's a MAJOR yikes - I'm so sorry you have to deal with that! I hope the infection resolves quickly and that you don't get the same kind of thing again :|

@BusinessWife they did tell me I could wait on the passport since it was set to expire soon at that point and that I can update my name when I renew it since it would cost the same - appreciate the SSN folks doing me a solid there. my thermometer takes FOREVER in the morning (okay it may be more like 90 seconds but that feels like forever when I'm half awake).

@gingermama29 the headache, thankfully, went away after about an hour but I did have to have a second cup so double universe apologies to the owner of the creamer, I owe them a new container (I didn't have that much lol I just feel bad)
