Forgot to post this one yesterday! Sorry!

Note: This thread will include discussion of infertility and loss. If these topics are triggering for you, please take care of yourself while reading and posting here.

This thread is for those of us who went through infertility testing and treatments before becoming pregnant. Many of us have had different struggles to get to this place and face different anxiety and concerns now. This thread is for us to support each other, and we hope it will be a safe space. Though this thread starts on Wednesdays, please feel free to post here at any time during the week, whether for good news or bad. Consider this an ongoing conversation.

This thread is for those who have experienced infertility. The struggles we discuss may or may not apply to those who became pregnant easily. If you have not experienced infertility, please be considerate and sensitive if you feel the need to post in this thread.

Re: PAIF Check-in “4/7”

  • How far along are you? 6+5

Any symptoms? constipation, nightly urination, reflux, occasional breast soreness

    Rant/Rave? none

Next appointment? TODAY! I have my first ultrasound. Hoping we get a positive outcome and it relieves my anxiety a little.

Questions? What was everyones progesterone levels when they had their beta done? Im on crinone twice daily and pio every 3 days. My first level was 28 (had pio the night before) but my second dropped to 16 two days later. My nurse didnt say anything about it. Should I ask them to check again? Does anyone else's RE routinely check their progesterone levels after beta?

GTKY: where would you rather be from? Nowhere! I like where Im from. My parents are kind of nomads so Ive never called one place home. I was born in Iowa, spent my teen years/early adulthood in tennessee and then travelled around for med school/residency and now Im in Texas.

  • Mine was 87, but I didn’t POAS until I was a good 21 DPO. I haven’t had mine checked since my initial beta/doubling beta.
  • I’m 9+2 today.

The nausea has seemed to be at bay, but I’m sure it’ll come back.

I graduated from the RE on Wednesday, so I’ll see my OB next Wednesday.

I’m a military brat, so I’m not really from anywhere. I liked moving and didn’t know any different, so it’s good for me!
  • @chartput my RE checked it initially with Beta since they put me on progesterone supplements after previous rounds after ovulation were on the lower side. They did a repeat at 7w and had me decrease to once per day instead of twice and then checked again at 8w and had me stop since it was still at good levels (40 I believe)
  • How far along are you? 9w

Any symptoms? All the symptoms, I think I’ve probably peaked though. With my son, I was getting significantly better after 10 weeks.

Rant/Rave? Just one more week of RE and PIO shots! Excited to only have to do my lovenox and not more butt shots.

Next appointment? US next Friday and then my first regular OB the following Monday.

    Questions?

GTKY: where would you rather be from? I’m happy with where I’m from (NE Oklahoma). There are probably places I’d rather live, but at the same time I have no desire to move.

@chartput I never had my progesterone checked after my FET. The only labs I’ve had are the 2 hcgs. I do PIO daily and endometrin every other day.
  • How far along are you? 10+2

Any symptoms? The nausea seems to be resolving a bit - it has kept me from doing anything on here for weeks because I have felt too ill. I am looking forward to the 2nd trimester

Rant/Rave? I graduated the regular OB last week and only have 3 more days of PIO, I am thrilled!!

Next appointment? May 4th, I get to be a normal pregnant lady from here on out :) I should get the results of my NIPT this week and am super excited to know baby's sex.

    Questions? Not right now

GTKY: where would you rather be from? I don't know that I care but I would rather be living in Colorado than Oklahoma. I miss the mountains

@chartput They checked my progesterone at the first beta and it was 18. They increased my PIO to 75 mg daily and added a 100 mg suppository at bedtime. They never checked it again and now at 10 weeks I am weaning off to be done at 11 weeks.

@mkp0903 I'll join you will a happy dance about finishing PIO! My butt is out of non-sore places to stick :)

  • Speaking of stopping meds....when is everyone coming off their progesterone and/or estrogen? Im on 2mg of estrogen three times daily, endometrin 3x daily and PIO 50mg every 3 days. My RE is having me stop meds cold turkey at 10 weeks and no plans for labs to be done as I'll be graduated from the fertility clinic, but its before my first OB appt. Has anyone thats done fet before have experience with cold turkey stopping meds?

I stopped estrogen at 8 wks, Endometrin at 9 wks and I will stop PIO at 10 wks. I was on 4mg estrogen daily, Endometrin twice per day every other day, and PIO 50mg daily. It’s interesting how different protocols are. I had a friend use the same clinic as me and she had a completely different protocol, but she had a failed FET prior to her current pregnancy. My RE never checked any labs after other than hcg.
