Re: April Symptoms

  • Yeah... Luckily the bloating is backing off a little, so I look less pregnant than a couple weeks ago.

I can start to feel how much heavier my uterus has gotten, though. Weird sensation, and it's getting harder to roll over in bed. One week to go till second trimester.

  • @vampirina same. My husband is the best and lets me sleep like 10 hours EVERY night and yet I still can barely make it through my days and days I get to nap I knock out for like 3 hour naps. It’s ridiculous. I’m still so sick and I know the Bonjesta adds to the fatigue but I wouldn’t dare go off it now bc i puke atleast once or twice daily on it and am pretty certain without it I’d puke hourly. I know I hit a point with my son that I did feel a lot better but I’m struggling to believe that now 🤣 I’m 12 weeks today and started with the sickness in my 4th week so I’m pretty much at the point I forget again what life was like without constant nausea, extreme fatigue and puking every day while my boys eat dinner 🙈
  • @noprobalo same here! I feel slightly crampy at night and I feel like I have to be careful when I turn from side to side in bed, heaviness is a good word for it.  When I get up to pee at night I feel like I have to hold my womb and walk careful. No bleeding or spotting at all. Once I’m up in the morning it the weak and crampy feeling goes away and I feel strong and can do whatever.  Only nausea and fatigue during the day.  So weird! Any other people with these types of feelings? I go to my bloodwork + ultrasound appt Monday can’t wait to ask them.
  • My fatigue is so much worse right now, BUT the bloat is now considerably, and the nausea is only really bad after 3:00 or 4:00 pm. So that’s a minor win. I’m still peeing SOOOOO much!

  • @momofmiracles31889 I’m so sorry you are still having all the N/V issues. I’m glad your DH has been letting you get some rest. Are you sure you don’t have HG?
+1 on the fatigue. I’ve been having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep and can’t seem to get rested.
The HG is still full force. It’s the same as it has been the last 7 weeks but my weight loss has plateaued but I’m still underweight for my height.
I’m pretty sure I’m having bouts of round ligament pain and from what I’ve read it’s about that time. I don’t remember having that with DD though.
  • I definitely have had the ligament pains here and there especially turning in bed at night! I remember I had this with DS too.

@mac-n-cheese thank you! I’m so sorry your HG is still in full swing too. My cardiologist and one of the nurses at the specialist had referred to my symptoms as HG but I was never given a diagnosis 🤷🏻‍♀️ I did take a quiz on that HG website and it said I’d be considered mild-moderate HG. I think I’m just fortunate I seem to respond to the Bonjesta bc I haven’t had to go to the hospital being on that. I can keep some food down throughout the day but then ALWAYS puke a ton by sometime between 4pm and 7pm until I take my next pill and then can keep some food and drink down before bed. I’m ALWAYS soo nauseous though except when I’m eating lol.  My pH in my pee was high though so my Ob was like try to drink more water I’m like um hello I’m trying here 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve been drinking smart water to try and get more electrolytes. I hope we both start feeling better soon!
  • @momofmiracles31889 that makes sense. I feel like you’d be diagnosed if you brought the quiz to your doctor. Anyhow, I’m glad you are somehow still managing. I’m praying for some relief sometime soon. Hopefully we both get it in the next few weeks.
I’ve been able to keep lemonade down so I get the “light” Simply Lemonade and water it down a bit. That way it’s already low sugar and less so with the water. Pedialyte popsicles are also staying down.
I hope everything is going okay with your heart as well.
  • 13+1 and I can’t. freaking. sleep!!!! I’ve been taking Unisom for awhile for nausea but I’ve mostly stopped taking it. Now I wake up every morning at 4. Usually I can fall back asleep but this is the third time in the last week that I haven’t been able to fall back asleep. Then come 7am when my kids get up I’m EXHAUSTED and I’m so tired all day. It’s 5am and I’ve been lying here for an hour and a half (because I woke up at 3:30 today) just trying to breathe and focus on my breath and kind of meditate, or trying to envision how tired I’ll be at 7am and could fall right asleep then ... but nothing is working. If I take Unisom I am OUT and dead asleep until my kids wake up but then I also feel like I’ve been run over by a truck and sluggish all day, and I really don’t want to keep taking a sleep med if I don’t have to. Uuuuggghhhhh I’m just not going to sleep at all for the next year am I?!
  • The nausea is starting to go away. My nausea would be when I  wake up in the morning and at night after I walk up my steps to go to bed. I swear the steps in my house help bring on the nausea. The past couple of nights my night time nausea has been gone. I still have my morning nausea.

It seems like my breast hurt after I wake up especially the top of my breast. Anyone else like that or am I  squeezing them with my arms while I'm sleeping.
  • Well bit of an alarming morning. I started getting some UTI symptoms a few days ago. I’ve been pounding water and I have my scheduled 12w ultrasound tomorrow. This morning I went to bathroom and had a considerable amount of blood that hasn’t seemed to let up. I called the OB and they said they felt less concerned about a miscarriage because I had my 8 week US and everything looked good. I still can’t help but feel extremely emotional and anxious. I never had any bleeding in my first pregnancy. Anyone have a UTI in previous pregnancies and have any bleeding?
  • @bcliffee1all of my UTIs were accompanied with spotting, but not full on bleeding. I think if I were you, I would push for an ultrasound.

  • @chindimples04 I think I’m just going to go to the ER and get an US done because it’s still bleeding and I can’t wait around like this all day
  • @bcliffee1 so sorry you’re dealing with that. From a medical standpoint, UTIs can cause blood in the urine however if you’re bleeding even when not using the restroom then an US would hopefully provide you some peace of mind and doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Hugs. Hope everything is okay.
  • I’m still fatigued and the past few days I haven’t been sleeping as well. Still waking up to pee every couple hours and still extremely moody. I just never “feel good” and it’s always something. I also have a very slim appetite. Certain smells make me completely ill. I made dinner the other night and the smell of it made me want to puke. I just want to feel human again. Also, for only being 10 weeks I swear my belly looks like I’m 20 weeks 😑
  • @bcliffee1 I’m so sorry you are going through this. I would go to the ER too. I’m sure some would argue against it saying it isn’t an emergency but that would be an emergency to me. Do what you need to do and I hope everything turns out okay for you. Sending positive thoughts your way and I hope you get some answers and feel better soon.
  • @mac-n-cheese @chindimples04 @k_rn21 I posted an update on the bleeding thread just to avoid putting it here for anyone that has triggers
  • I guess am adding vomiting to the list....at 10+5. Awesome.....

  • I’m starting to feel better with just queazy all day. It def gets worse at night after dinner with nausea where I can’t function. I sleep good but wake up every couple hours to pee. I still want to snack all day but have replaced it with healthier foods. I already gained almost 20 pds which I assume is not good. My hair is frizzy.... where’s my pregnancy glow!!! Feeling well is such a nice feeling! I totally forgot what it feels like to be a normal functioning person.
  • @mac-n-cheese thanks so much praying we both feel better soon too!! Popsicles are a great idea. I haven’t worried as much about getting an official diagnosis for HG bc I’m already high risk because of RPL and anti phospholipid syndrome so I already get tons of checkups so figured it wouldn’t make much of a difference 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for checking in about my heart- thankfully I passed my heart monitor test the other week so I guess things are staying under control for now!! How are you holding up from your accident?!

@steph-ann that’s great you’re feeling better! I so look forward to feeling human again 🤣
  • My all day nausea had faded but I always felt sick at 4pm through the rest of the evening. My doctor said it could be heartburn triggered nausea and just acid builds up throughout the day... and advised I take a Pepcid. I’ve been taking one 12 hour tablet in the morning around 8-9. It has made a huge difference!! I feel pretty normal all day and I’ve been able to eat dinner the last few days!
  • @momofmiracles31889 I’m glad everything else seems it be going well for you. I didn’t know you had all the other high risk factors too. I’m glad that you get the extra monitoring so everything is followed closer and you get that piece of mind.
I actually reached out to a lawyer and am getting set up with a foot/ankle specialist and physical therapy for the rest of my body. I’m completely NOT about personal injury lawyers but I don’t have great insurance and it was the only way I was really going to get good aftercare and my hospital bills paid for appropriately.

My skin is breaking out now! I’ve never had perfect skin and have little pimples here and there from time to time. Now it seems like my skin is consistently breaking out on my chin, hairline along my cheeks, forehead and along the sides of my nose.

  • @kitandcat that’s when my nausea gets really bad, too! I couldn’t even eat dinner tonight it was so bad. 🤢

  • I just want to sleep. My whole head hurts and I’ve been feeling really dehydrated. I’m trying ice pops and body armor water but I know it’s not enough. I’m 12+2. I feel so heavy even though I’ve been running around after my toddlers every day. Ay yi yi
  • @chindimples04 try and take a 12 hour Pepcid late morning or early afternoon and see if it helps! I don’t feel heartburn at all, so I thought my doc was crazy to think my nausea was heartburn related, but it’s been working!
  • Just tired all the time. Round ligament pain has started especially moving around in bed at night.
  • @kitandkat I can’t keep pills down. I throw up every time I take something.

  • @chindimples04 ugh I’m sorry!! The one I have is a berry flavored chewable but understandable that anything is impossible to keep down! That’s the worst!!
  • Anyone else have constant thirst? I know I don’t drink a ton of water like I should but even when I’m actively drinking it during the day I just have this horrible dry mouth thirsty feeling that is never satisfied. This pregnancy is soooo different than my first. Ughhhh. I swear it’s always SOMETHING. I don’t ever have a day where I’m just like “I feel great” nope... no such thing... I praaaaaay second trimester is different. 🙁
  • @mac-n-cheese thank you! That’s great you’re getting the care you need through a lawyer- I totally understand not wanting to make a big deal but someone literally ran you over with their car....while you’re pregnant... and then drove away. That’s just terrible! you deserve the best care for recovery! It’s not like you tripped on the steps into your doctor’s office and are trying to sue 🤣 I hope it helps you recover quicker!

@kitandcat and @chindimples04 my sickness is worse at that time too and I have just assumed my Bonjesta wears off before I can take another one. That’s interesting about the Pepcid though! I also take prenatal gummies (Smartypants ones) and although they’re still gross maybe easier than swallowing some pills.

@k_rn21 I have not felt great since... before I found out I was pregnant? Lol BUT it was the same way with my son and when I hit about 16-18 weeks ish I started feeling wonderful in comparison so hoping for the same this time around! Hopefully you’ll find the same relief soon!

Also when I scroll on here I sometimes accidentally hit report on random comments I hope it doesn’t actually go through as I’m reporting anyone 🤣 I’m so technologically challenged at times
  • So refined sugar seems to make me ultra sick. Anytime I eat a small bit of candy, or drink a soda I get really sick - headache, extra nauseous, physically icky feeling... fruits and other carbohydrates like bread or potatoes don't seem to have this effect. Does anyone else have a symptom like this? Could it be an early sign of GD? For now I'm just avoiding processed sugar, which is probably the healthy choice regardless, and I plan to ask my doc at my 16 week checkup.
  • Anyone else just a belching machine?? I feel like a gurgling monster 👹🥴😂
  • @kitandcat omg this was my exact problem! Still kind of is. My morning sickness took a total turn into night sickness with horrible heartburn. Pepcid works for me too!! Phew
  • @madiirosee Yep. Giving DH a run for his money.

@vampirina Sorry, I am all about sugar right now. I've always had a sweet tooth, but it's 100% steering the ship currently.
  • This might be the wrong discussion post but.... any of you felt any movement yet?? Yesterday I SWEAR I felt a flutter like a little goldfish in my tummy and it completely took me off guard. I was just sitting on the couch. Then this morning too, lots of twitchy feelings around the same area.
  • @madiirosee I sometimes do when I roll onto my stomach. AKA, only when I am annoying the baby.
  • @madiirosee I was firmly in the "it's just gas" camp until 2 days ago (13+3). Mine aren't flutters so much as little thumps. I gently pushed on my lower stomach and he pushed back a few times. I know it's just reflexes and he's not actually engaging with me, but it's an amusing game I played when I was a few weeks farther along with my previous pregnancy. I can't wait until it's more regular. My anxiety goes down so much when I can feel all that fun movement.
  • @madiirosee I had a moment today where I was like 🤔🤨🤔🤨 but I don't think it could be real movement at this point. I'm only 11 weeks 6 days! I'm really excited about it though. Feeling the baby move is the only part about pregnancy that I enjoy.  I felt so connected to my little buggers when they'd squirm around.
  • @madiirosee No movement yet but my DD was frank breech so the second half of my pregnancy I felt VERY little movement and it caused constant anxiety. I’m really hoping for more consistent movement from this little babe.
  • @vampirina I’m actually concerned with GD as well although I am consuming tons of sugar and not avoiding it 😕 plus given the fact I am constantly thirsty it just has me wondering if it’s a possibility. I didn’t have it with my first pregnancy but obviously I’m sure it can change with each pregnancy. Idk. Let’s hope not! Really not looking forward to those drinks either... 🤢
