@BusinessWife DH is the cook and I’m the plain eater! I’m not picky but I do prefer my food on the plain side
Month/Cycle: 28/31
CD: 12
WAYDTGKU: OPKs, Tracking CM
R/R: Well we were so tired last night and forgot to have sex 🤦🏼♀️. Starting tonight should fine though. (Hopefully). I heard back from my RE and she wants to repeat my CD3 testing and do another SHG to check my lining/for polyps. So that’s something to look forward to for next cycle!
Oh boy, that does sound like fun next cycle! 😜 @bows22. I hear you on just being too darn tired. I am so exhausted at the end of the night, I'm lucky if I remember to run the dish washer 🤦 let alone DTD. Hopefully tonight is a fun night for you!
@BusinessWife I was being serious 😂. I am looking forward to it! My SHG was totally fine last time, except for feeling like I was going to pee all over the RE! I took the “full bladder” instructions seriously and then they were running late 😳. But I’m very excited to see what is happening inside of my uterus!
@BusinessWife it's funny, my husband is open to trying things sometimes, and very wary others. Usually the wariness comes into play with anything cheese related, but I've been able to expand his palette past "no cheese except mozzarella on pizza" over the last decade.
@bows22 I feel you on the exhaustion. Fingers crossed the testing is moot and not needed after this cycle, but also fingers crossed everything looks good if it does need to happen!
Month/Cycle: 5/5
CD: 8
WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, cm, cinnamon supplements
R/R: Bah it's been a busy couple days, sorry I've been MIA. Had a work shift last night and our cashier called out and no one was available to replace her, so it was just me and a manager for the last 3 hours the store was open. Luckily it was slow-but-steady, so it felt busy but not super overwhelming, and my manager gave me a very nice compliment at the end of the night.
CS/Q: nothing yet, probably going to start OPKs on Saturday to be safe.
@BusinessWife I grew up in a household where the only spices used were salt, pepper, garlic, dill and parsley. We also ate a lot of meat and potatoes. So I would say my palette is limited-ish in that I don't like crazy-flavored food like Indian or Thai. MH is the same and that works for us.
@bows22 I know what you mean about being excited about learning what's going on inside your uterus. This time around, I got to see the outline of my ovaries and all the follicles in them and I was overjoyed cause no-one's pointed them out to me before! Hoping that you won't need the SHG though.
@fantasyflyte good on you for expanding YH's cheese palette! I love cheese so much... all of it! It's nice that your manager recognized your work and gave you a compliment.
Month/Cycle: 15/15
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: Hybrid, double IUI cycle with Zymot; HIO as "adjunct" therapy; lots of supplements and vitamins for MH and I!
R/R: Yesterday we had a "mandatory team fun event" in the afternoon so my day was cray cray trying to get all my work finished up in the morning; I didn't get around to posting here. The team event was soooo good! We did a virtual scavenger hunt murder mystery organized / hosted by Watson Adventures. I highly recommend it if anyone's looking for a team "outing." It's all done via Zoom. My team won in a tie breaker, on an "educated" guess.
I had my first follicle check this morning and it was GREAT! My ovaries have recruited 4 follicles in total, 2 on each side. So, the doctor is upping the amount of Gonal-F I'll be taking from what she originally thought (150IU) to 225IU to make sure all of them grow. Lining was already 4.6mm. Next follicle check is on Sunday.
CS/Q: Only 2 data points atm so not really worth posting.
ETA: I keep forgetting to follow up on the tea talk I started 2 days ago. @keikilove @pajamstagrams - what's this about chicory root not being advised for TTC? I've looked online and found a good article that said it's safe as long as you don't go gnawing on the root (i.e. limit the quantity). I also checked with my acupuncturist / Chinese medicine herbalist, and she said 1 tea bag a day is fine. Do you have other information? Maybe our resident lurker acupuncturist has any insight? Paging @lickastick!
@acleverusername maybe I read it was not good for PG... I tend to just lump them (PG and TTC) in the same category, even though they really shouldn't be (aka I wouldn't drink alcohol or take ibuprofen while PG, but I still do occasionally now). Or maybe it's all about the dosage, like you mentioned.
@fantasyflyte a nice compliment from your boss is always great!
@acleverusername the team event sounds cool! I’ll have to keep that in mind if our post-tax season celebration has to be virtual. Glad your follies are looking good so far!
