Harmony NIPT got the sex wrong?

Hi all!

I had the Harmony test done at 12.5 weeks. Results came back low risk for everything- and said our baby was a girl! I had the anatomy scan on Monday at 18+6 and the ultrasound tech was fairly certain our kiddo is actually a boy? Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what sex did your baby end up being? 

They are re-doing the Harmony test to double check gender and to make sure that I'm actually low-risk for the trisomies it checks for. I'm over here on pins and needles waiting for the results.

    Yes, it's possible if they don't get an adequate sample, not to pick up the baby boy's Y chromosome when they do the nipt test.

    Yes, the only 100% guarentee is birth.

    Yes, I’ve heard of this. I don’t know what kind of blood test it was, but same thing - blood work said girl, ultrasound said boy, baby was a boy. I also know people for whom the ultrasound tech was wrong. It happens.
