Re: TW Tuesday 3.16

  • OKAY SO!
A little while back I talked about some drama in our HOA. It got a little less stressful over the last week until yesterday.
Yesterday, the leader of what I'll call "the coup group" (background, she's proudly French) said to someone publicly calling her out, and I quote: "you should count yourself lucky I haven't set up a guillotine in our courtyard yet."
LADY. THAT IS A DEATH THREAT. OVER AN HOA ISSUE.

  • Wowwwwww. Sorry you have to deal with her. What a b*tch.
  • @chgilmore omg that is so perfect for this thread  :D wtf lady!!!

Not sure I ever mentioned it here, but my PCP moved to being on an "as needed" basis. I needed to have my prescription refilled right before her last day. She set a new prescription up and told me that I would need to establish care with a new PCP in order to get the refills. She actually told me this like 2 months ago, but I put it off since I'd be able to get the last refill before her status changed. So I finally called today and the lady on the phone tells me they aren't doing establish care visits until late April/early May! I'm like UHHH but I need a refill in early April! The lady was being kind of annoying about it, but we got it cleared up that when I call to get the refill they will see that I do have an appointment set up with the new PCP and that should allow the new PCP to give the OK to have the prescription refilled.

Seriously though.... WTH to my clinic that they aren't doing establish care appointments right now??

  • @inthewoods23 that sounds like such a cluster and so antithetical to, you know, being care providers! glad it got sorted out but sorry you had to deal with their internal nonsense.
  • @inthewoods23 I have been experiencing that A LOT over the past couple years.  I don't really get it.  I called one place in like August or September and they said they couldn't schedule me till APRIL.  That's 8 solid months!!!???  And, DH was already a patient there.  How stupid.
  • I don't have anything to contribute, but seeing that gif of Salute Your Shorts made me inordinately happy today. That took me back!
  • @BusinessWife that was the thing! I was like, I'm already a patient! My current PCP is just now "as needed" so I just need to switch to someone I can see whenever I need. Also, WTF because I first met with my PCP in late August to be put on the medication when covid was much worse than it is now and that appointment got scheduled days later from when I called!

Primary care drives me up a wall. We pose it like it’s preventative but it’s still pretty abysmal IMO.

Ironically this all happened today. Not nearly as annoying as yours @inthewoods23 but I got a text about needing to schedule my annual visit, so I follow the link on my phone - it’s weird and glitchy. So I call, leave a voicemail. I then see a call back... nope automated telling me to call or go online to schedule. Please laugh... a call, to tell me to call, that just hangs up, no option to get a human. I finally go to my practice’s website on my actual computer and get a message that my Dr doesn’t do online scheduling. 😂
  • @anniemarie887 Uuuuugghhhhhh, that is so annoying! Sorry you had to deal with that circular joke.

@chgilmore Ooooh, that’s amazing drama. The Frenchie is living up to the stereotypes! (I’m French— I can say this, right?)

@inthewoods23 Seriously?!?! WTH is wrong with some of these medical practices these days?
  • @inthewoods23 @anniemarie887 what a bunch of medical situation garbage :(

@keikilove well she even referenced being French in that email before she said what she said so, it's not surprising that you thought it! we have our HOA meeting next week and there are 14 owners as of today who would like to pursue some kind of legal action against her so fx this all ends next Tuesday
  • @chgilmore Wow, this situation has been getting bigger by the moment. I hope it all resolves for you guys soon!
  • @chgilmore how many bad Marie Antoinette-ish phrases can you work into your conversations with this woman? Let them eat cake! Off with her head!
