How are you feeling?: fine....? I'm tired and I get nauseous if I don't eat often enough. But I haven't been really sick like I was with my DD, so I'm paranoid something is wrong. I know every pregnancy is different, but PGAL brain isn't rational.
Rants/Raves:
Questions: for those of you who have had previous pregnancies, is your belly already threatening to poke out? I don't know it's just insane bloating or the fact that this isn't my first rodeo and my abdominal muscles have completely given up holding things in, but I already kind of look pregnant. When I wake up in the morning I look mostly normal, but by bedtime I look 4-5 months pregnant. It's frightening. I'm only 7 weeks! I had to size up my pants today
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Christmas, hands down. I love everything about the Christmas season. Everything is so magical.

Upcoming appointments: my second midwife appointment is 3/26. Hoping I can hear the heartbeat with the Doppler!
How are you feeling?: still rough-ish.. my symptoms are definitely coming in waves. Evenings are becoming the worst for me, with my intense heartburn rearing it’s ugly head and sometimes throwing up. I’m crazy exhausted and had a break from my boobs hurting but today they’re feeling sore again 🥴
Rants/Raves: 🥳 THIS IS THE FARTHEST I’VE COME IN ANY OF MY PREGNANCIES 🥳 so, very happy about that. Hubby has still been gone a lot working but we had dinner together last night and spent some time together. It was so nice.
Questions: I can’t figure out when to start investing in maternity clothes... I’m definitely bloated and things are getting tight.
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Halloween 🎃 which is why I’m sooooo happy we’re having an October baby 🥰

How are you feeling?: my blood pressure has "low" spells so I have to rest a lot or I feel like I'm going to faint. DH doesn't seem to understand how slow I need to take it, especially in the mornings. Otberwise nothing new or exceptional. The same ol first tri pregnancy awfulness. Ready for week 14!
Rants/Raves: I went to see my sister this weekend and it was so nice! I haven't seen her or my neices since Christmas (when we did an outdoor Christmas bonfire). I decided I'm okay seeing one family member or friend per weekend for the time being as long as they aren't being particularly reckless. I'm also going to dog sit her dog for a week when the travel (won't be seeing her much after that! Ha!) And I'm so excited because its so cute and I'm dog deprived haha.
Questions: where do you all buy maternity clothes? I think I need to add a few things to my wardrobe. I threw away quite a bit of overly worn items after my last pregnancy.
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Can I cheat and say I really like them all? Even lame ones like presidents day. I mean who doesn't love a random day off of work? 😅 I really enjoyed Christmas this year, but its usually not my favorite. I find it stressful and overwhelming. If I really have to pick, I'd say Easter.

Upcoming appointments: A “peace of mind” ultrasound next Monday that my OB offered.
How are you feeling?: The migraines and little bit of nausea I was having are pretty much gone. So while that is nice, it is also making me so nervous. *TW*
Rants/Raves: Also excited for Daylight Savings Time and some more daylight in the evenings!
Questions: None at the moment.
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? I love Thanksgiving. Just a day of family, friends, football and food. I also love Fourth of July.

How are you feeling?: super anxious. DS and I fell down the stairs yesterday. on my but and sort of slid all the way down. DS is totally fine and I have some bad bruises. Nurse yesterday and today said I will be fine and to just watch out for increased cramping (I've had cramping on and off throughout whole pregnancy) and bleeding. None of that really so far. But everytime I do get a twinge I get so nervous, though it doesn't feel increased. IDK. Next appointment isn't until 4/9, ugh.
Rants/Raves: also excited for more daylight @sienna221 !

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? I really enjoy 10/1 - 12/31 that whole season. But @vampirina agreed, Christmas this year was so wonderful but we're usually travelling and it is so stressful, I can't stand it. I also really enjoy the 4th of July, we usually do a big family camp out at DH's family as they live on a lake. It's great.

As far as clothes go, I'm hoping for some good Easter sales so I can pick up a couple pairs of jeans at Old Navy (need the extra length) and maybe a few tops somewhere. I hate spending money on maternity clothes, especially since so much of it is so boring and/or expensive. I'm really planning on A-line/empire waist dresses being my maternity wardrobe staple. I already have a bunch, and I was able to wear non-maternity dresses into my 8th month with DS.

How are you feeling?: so short of breath! I went to our very large, very hilly zoo over the weekend and walking up the giant hill from the parking lot to the front gate while pushing a 50 lb child in a stroller almost killed me.
Rants/Raves:no migraine for the first weekend in over a month! Woohoo! Told DH that I am 1/4 of the way through my pregnancy and he looked at me like I had two heads.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Before DS came along, it was Halloween. I love making cosutmes and Halloween is fun with very little pressure. Now though, I love seeing the excitement of Christmas through DS's eyes. I'm a terrible gift giver so the pressure for everything to be perfect still gets to me.

as for maternity clothes, I had like just put mine away a month before getting pregnant again and pulled most of them out already 🤣 I am for sure showing but I hadn’t even lost all my belly from DS yet soo ive accepted I’m just gonna be huge this time lol
also last year I got a lot at Old navy I liked but this year am not seeing some of my favorites from last year! Amazon is great for cheaper maternity. Don’t spend too much it goes so fast and go for comfort! My super cute items I hardly wore (although that might be because I’m a SAHM I guess working through pregnancy is different lol) my cousin had given me some LuLaRoe flowy tshirt dresses I wore a lot last summer. Otherwise I wore old navy maternity tanks with maternity shorts a lot. Definitely was comfier in cotton than denim personally

How are you feeling?: terrible ha but from what I can remember this is like the peak of the worst symptoms so hopefully I’ve only got a week or two left until it slowly gets better. Mentally I’ve been less anxious which is nice- still have moments of PGAL brain but not as bad as I did with my baby boy
Rants/Raves: Just ready for second trimester and consistent nice weather and thankful they will most likely conveniently line up and make for much happier days ahead 🤣

I love Thanksgiving through New Years it’s just such a fun season with so many special moments! also a huge fan of any summer holiday that comes with picnic food 🤣 and I like Easter too. I guess I love all the holidays lol

How are you feeling?: Very tired. This is such a different pregnancy from when I had my daughter. I really haven't had the same nausea/migraines/food aversions that I had with her, which I'm thankful for. But I was definitely not this tired or hungry with her!

Questions: no questions atm....@vampirina, if you have thrift stores near you, you can sometimes find some really good maternity clothes. That's where I got all my stuff last time.
GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? I love the whole Christmas holiday season! We went hard on the Christmas music and decorations this year and it was so cozy and magical.

Upcoming appointments: today! First ultrasound and prenatal appt. U/S was great - baby is measuring 7+4 but I expected that with PCOS. They are keeping my original due date though. HR was 159. Appt with the OB went fine too. I will start taking baby aspirin at 12 weeks to hopefully avoid the high BP I had with my last pregnancy.
How are you feeling?: no symptoms! Relieved to see one baby in there with a heartbeat.
Rants/Raves: Reception was weird when I went to leave my OB appt and schedule my next appt - I wanted to schedule the NT and NIPT next as I had discussed with the doctor and everyone behind the front desk started arguing with me that both tests are redundant and I had to choose one or the other. They even went to ask the doctor because they didn’t believe me, but she agreed with me and said I was fine to do both. It was bizarre and made me feel annoyed and awkward.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving! I love all of the food and time with family without the stress of gifts. Although Christmas is more fun now with a kid who gets excited about opening gifts 🤣

Upcoming appointments: Nurse intake tomorrow; I’ll schedule genetic testing tomorrow as well
How are you feeling?: honestly awful. 🤣 The all day nausea is causing major food aversions which makes it difficult to eat or drink anything. I have such little energy it hurts to swallow at times. Brushing my teeth and taking my prenatals has also become a gagging adventure every day. The struggle is so real.
Rants/Raves: Jealous of all the schools that have spring break already this week. I wish. We don’t have ours until Easter. However, we are finally getting together with BIL and SIL and DHs grandparents this weekend to celebrate Easter early and announce our news finally!

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Halloween-Easter. All of those holidays are so much fun (I could like w/o St Patrick’s Day).

Upcoming appointments: April 2nd, so excited to hear the heartbeat again and tell my kids and ILs after that appointment!!
How are you feeling?: Feeling okay. My nausea started to disappear before my first appointment which was terrifying, and then the baby looked great, so I thought I just lucked out and the nausea went away early but now it just comes and goes. Some days (most days) I feel okay and some days I’m so sick. All day everyday I’m exhausted. So exhausted. I want so badly to not feel so tired all the time. Mentally, I’m feeling so much better after my appt at 9 weeks. A big part of me now really believes that I’m pregnant and that this will happen and I’ll get to hold my healthy baby. I hope that feeling doesn’t fade.
Rants/Raves: Rave!!! I got my first COVID dose today!!!! I wanted to cry. I felt so relieved and happy and like I could breathe. Such a long way to go still and a lot longer living with caution but it’s a sign of hope, for sure.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday? Christmas! But my truly favorite special days are the kids birthdays. It’s so fun to go all out with decorating the house and doing fun stuff all day and just making them feel special. I love their birthdays so much!! DD turns 3 on Saturday and I’m just so excited to see her joy all day!!!

Upcoming appointments: I had my first appointment yesterday which included an us, she let me record the heartbeat and I have listened to it approximately 75 times since. I go back in 3 weeks.
How are you feeling?: exhausted and frustrated to be so exhausted
Rants/Raves: I really like my doc and I hope I feel the same about the others in the practice as I cycle through!
Questions: please tell me I’m going to get some energy back in a few weeks? Even if it’s a lie.
