    Month/Cycle: 7/2AL

CD: 12 (maybe 13 if you include minimal spotting)

    WAYDTGKU: CBAD OPKs, PNV

R/R: So, I commented on the thread yesterday with some of this. I have two CBAD readers from buying two packs. Two mornings ago, negative. Yesterday morning, “high fertility,” and yesterday afternoon “peak fertility.” This morning I used a new box I had just to check, and negative. Is this a normal? All tests were done with FMU, except the afternoon yesterday. It also seems kind of early in my cycle for ovulating, but maybe my body is still adjusting AL. My app says today was/is ovulation based on OPKs. I have a few left I may keep checking for the next few days, just to see what happens.

CS/Q: For those of you that have used CBAD before, have you encountered this? I’ve seen some of you comment about having lots of high fertility days, but I don’t think I’ve seen any with none or like half the days.
  • *lurking from tww*
@rgn12 yes that negative result is totally normal with the CBAD. The first time you test with any readers is like a baseline reading so you should always get the low fertility result. The subsequent days it's comparing the results to that. That is why you should never switch to a new reader mid-cycle.

@inthewoods23 Oh good to know, I did not know that! Thank you! I used the same one for all of the previous ones (it won’t let you try again after peak fertility for a bit I think, maybe like 48 hours?). I’ll go back to the old one tomorrow just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke or random surge or something. It does seem a bit early for a positive... I may just go back to the strips, that was working for me before!
  • ^^^WSS. Once you get a Peak reading, that's it for that cycle.  That smiley face stays there for 48 hours and there is no point in starting over again with a new pack (unless you have reason to think it's a false surge or something????)

Even still, you would need to give your body 72 hours to let things come back down (if it were truly a false surge) so that a new read is a true baseline.  By which point your temps would indicate whether or not you had ovulated.  (<i>Although tbh with a false surge or anno cycle, I'm not even sure you would see a peak reading, more likely just low or high for a prolonged period of time.)</i>

If you want to keep testing after peak, you should be using cheapies for that.  I have ovulated lots of times on CD12.  Even for that textbook 28 day cycle, and CD14 ovulation, two days "early" is not really early. 🤔

LSS - Don't overthink it!  Just GDTPT!!!! 😆😆😆
  • @rgn12 yup that sounds totally normal.

    Month/Cycle: 21/2 AL

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: NTNP this cycle (we're technically benched)

R/R: TGIF!! DH's birthday is on Sunday so I'm planning to bake him a cookie cake this weekend since that's his favorite. It's so crazy to think that a year ago was when everything shut down. My sister was over last year helping me bake DH's cookie cake and spending the weekend when we got news of schools shutting down and everything. Haha here's hoping we don't get any news like that again this year 🤣

    CS/Q: nope

@gingermama29 thank you, this validation is helpful! I hope you and your husband have an awesome (and uneventful) birthday weekend!

@BusinessWife I ovulated CD18 last cycle, so I guess that’s why it’s throwing me off! I actually do have some cheap strips left, I may just do that just to confirm O is done! I had to buy a new box for CBAD because I ran out and didn’t have enough for this cycle, so that’s how I ended up with two readers! Luckily I used the same reader, now knowing what I know about those! You learn something new everyday! 🤣
  • @rgn12 oof, OPKs sound confusing! I hope you get clear readings this month in the end!

@gingermama29 yum, cookie cake. I haven't had it in years (because gluten) but the mall cookie cakes were the BEST back in the day.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3
    CD: 9
    WAYDTGKU: bbt/cm
R/R: it's finally happening... I have a 90 minute, hot stone, deep tissue massage tomorrow and I CAN'T WAIT. I'm overly optimistic that the huge knot I've had in my shoulder for months will magically go away, along with the low back pain that's been lingering for months as well...but they definitely will feel better, and that's all I can ask for.
CS/Q: why is my prime fertile period never on the weekend? 😂 Looking like another midweek O date, and those just suck. I suppose since I have 27 day cycles, eventually, it will fall on the weekend... In a couple months. Watch it go to 28 days just to spite me 🙄🙄
  • @rgn12 I haven't used the CB reader myself, but I've heard that switching mid-cycle doesn't give accurate results.
@gingermama29 happy early birthday to your husband! Enjoy the baking.
@pajamstagrams oooooh that sounds lovely. The last time I got a massage, the massage therapist gave me a stretch to do at home that's helped my ow back a bit: lay on your stomach and prop yourself up on your arms and let your back completely relax. Only prop up just enough that you can feel the stretch/slight soreness (that exercisey stretchy soreness, not true pain). Hold it for a bit and then prop up a bit more, hold until no more sore, etc.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, cm, cinnamon supplements

R/R: It's SO NICE again today. We hit 70F/21C yesterday and I drove to and from school with my windows down. We get one more gorgeous day today before it drops back down to seasonable temperatures. Our 2nd car is done, repair did end up being the $350 thing and not the cheap thing, but fingers crossed this is the last financial issue we have for a while.

    CS/Q: nothing yet

@fantasyflyte I just leaned this today, oops! Thankfully I accidentally and unintentionally did it right before peak, haha! Yay for nice weather and car repairs! I hope this is the last big thing for a while, I know that’s stressful!

@pajamstagrams ugh, yes so confusing. And yes why doesn’t it ever happened on the weekend??? Mine happened yesterday and hubby was at work late of course. Hopefully we got it done in time, haha

  • @fantasyflyte ooh yeah that move sounds like one of my stretches. I do it occasionally and holyyyy crap it hurts, but it does loosen up things a bit.

    Enjoy the good weather!!
  • That massage sounds amazing! @pajamstagrams DH treated me to a massage and pedi for my birthday a few weeks ago and oh. Em. Gee.  It was so necessary.  Hope you feel some fairly instant (and lasting) relief!
  • @pajamstagrams omg I'm so jealous! Enjoy every second of your massage!

@fantasyflyte enjoy the warm weather! We've had really nice weather here the last few days too and the spring fever is real!
  • @rgn12 woah that’s a quick jump! I haven’t used CBAD but that definitely happens to me with my cheap strips - I’ll go consistently low to essentially high, peak, and then high or low again all in the span of a day or two!

@gingermama29 aw happy birthday to YH!! That sounds like a lovely way to spend the weekend, I hope he enjoys his cake!!

@pajamstagrams that sounds HEAVENLY, I’m a little bit jealous haha. Enjoy every minute!!!

@fantasyflyte such nice weather, hopefully it lasts a little bit longer for you :)

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 24

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, HIO, PNV

R/R: I FINALLY got my surge/peak OPK yesterday so FF has placed my O day as today, so I will move over to TWW shortly I guess! Any last couple of cycles have been like clockwork - 28 day cycle with O on the 17th, so I have no idea what’s up but hoping that different maybe is a good sign for some reason.

its Fri-yay and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

CS/Q: none really, just confused as to the sudden change this time around haha.

  • @ronnie320 OMG someone give this girl a HIO prize!

You are seriously a champ, woman.  Fx all your (and H's) hard work pays off!!! 😆
  • @BusinessWife hahaha thank you! I am SO determined this cycle haha. And we have been watching a LOT of Outlander and it’s made us a bit frisky  :D
