Upcoming appointments: still haven’t heard anything official but luckily my best friend is a midwife and took a peek at the upcoming appointments schedule and saw my appointment is for April 6. So far away 😩

How are you feeling?: Nauseous and so very tired

Rants/Raves: it’s been hard to find the energy but I’ve been walking and/or working out almost everyday so I’m really proud of myself for that!

Questions: not at the moment

GTKY: how long have you and your partner been together? Together for 5 years, married for 3 in May

I definitely don’t mind! I’m just trying to get the ball rolling for the group, but suuuuuper don’t want to continue doing this long term 🙃

Do we want to move the formatted questions to a new weekly check-in thread or keep it here?

This week in OKC we are doing a resource fair for youth who are homeless and due to COVID instead of a 1 day event it will be M-F from 3:00-6:00. I love events like this and am thrilled to get to meet some new youth but also I fall asleep at like 6:00 right now so I am going to have to fight to stay awake!!

Anyone else have people already catching on? I was extremely excited to get my hair dyed last week, and I had told my coworker all about it and showed pictures of what I wanted... I of course cancelled the appointment once I found out. Now she is 100% on to me lol. It’s too soon! I just told her don’t ask... since no one really should anyway, am I right? She’s lucky I love her haha.

@sliztee I am an RN but I work in community mental health so it is pretty much the same role

We are doing housing assessments to get youth signed up for housing subsidies or linked to the shelters, there will be food and clothing, and opportunity to speak with therapists, and to get bus passes. It is usually a space where youth service providers from around the city come and get the youth linked with everything from housing to mental health resources to employment. It's usually a good chance for us to connect with youth who are linked to anyone.

@KNB1027 That sounds incredible. I ran two housing programs when I lived in Atlanta and would have loved to attend an event like this. Kudos to you! Will any COVID-19 vaccines be distributed there?

I don't think anyone has "caught on" here, but we have a few "clairvoyant"s in the family. DH's mom had a dream a little over a month ago (when I was definitely not pregnant) that DH and I announced a pregnancy. When I announced my first, my mom said she noticed the pregnancy "glow" at my previous visit (which was before my baby was conceived so I'm not sure where she thinks she saw the "glow"). I suspect the families are just waiting for an announcement any time now just because of how long it's been since my first was born.

A lot of my friends and coworkers know I’ve been doing IVF, so a lot of people have caught on for me. My parents know because they watch my son every time I have an appointment. This is the least secret pregnancy ever I think. I keep trying to tell my son, but he’s 3 and so far an only child so I think he thinks we’re getting another dog.

DH and I just got vaccine appointments! Mine is tomorrow and his is Thursday. I'm glad we are staggered because I hear the second dose can be a doozy

@eggsandwich2019 I had a rough day after my second, but I’m in healthcare so I went ahead with it even though I had Covid a few months before. My husband was just tired with a sore arm after his 2nd, but he never had it. I definitely needed the day off!

@eggsandwich2019 I actually had the opposite happen. I had a rough day after my first (chills, exhausted, aches, sore arm) and needed the day off. The second was a breeze and I didn't even have a sore arm. Hope each dose goes well for you!

@eggsandwich2019 I had a really sore arm after the first dose but never got anything more than that from either dose. It seems it's total luck of the draw for how you feel afterwards. Good luck!

@eggsandwich2019 I had a rough time after my second so really just lazed around the house for the weekend. My husband had a harder time with the first dose and really didn't have any side effects with the second. I had the Moderna and he had the Pfizer. I have heard that the second Moderna shot is rough and the Pfizer has less side effects but I don't know it holds true for everyone.

I just found out DH planned a get away for a couple nights to a cabin for my Birthday 🎉. The cabin has a hot tub inside it 🤦🏻‍♀️. I remember my OB telling me during my last pregnancy that baths were fine but hot tubs are not because they hold their temperature. I’m super bummed. I’ll ask my midwife but I’m wondering if it’ll be okay as long as I don’t make it too hot and turn off the heat before I get it? Thoughts?

I was showing my MIL a pic of something yesterday dropped my phone and up popped a very obvious picture of a pregnancy test and multiple people saw it sooo I think people are on to me 😂
