Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Friday 3/5

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    Month/Cycle: 10/9

    CD/DPO: 25/3

    Timing: O

    Typical LP length: 11

    Testing: after 11 DPO

R/R: Back to vaccine hunting again this morning. Today is all about me & MH's vaccines -- it's funny that out of all of our families we will be the last to get it, yet, we are the ones with the most risk as teachers (everyone else is either retired or WFH but have all gotten first doses). What a world! Annoyed that we didn't get better timing this cycle but at least we got something in. Can't wait for the weekend!

ETA: Success!! MH & I both have appointments!

CS/Q: One of these days I'll get around to posting it...

  • Loading the player...
  • @fameonmain2 woo, congrats on the appointments! I'm sure that's a weight off your shoulders.

    Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 35/6

    Timing: O-2

    Typical LP length: 10-11 days

    Testing: Wednesday

R/R: Keeping my fingers crossed, we're putting my husband's laptop back together today, so hopefully it still works. We let it dry for like 40 hours, so here's hoping. At least things are looking slightly up in general, I found out yesterday that I'm getting a refund from my school as past of the covid relief package from December.

CS/Q: high temps again today, we'll see what happens

  • @fameonmain2 hooray for vaccines! When did you manage to book yours for? Also, welcome to TWW!

@fantasyflyte good luck with YHs computer. And hooray for extra cash! I know that’s been weighing heavily on you.

    Month/Cycle: 14/14

    CD/DPO: 28/7

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, O

Typical LP length: on progesterone and hCG microdose so depends on when I stop the meds. ~ 17 days

Testing: still testing out the hCG; hoping I could test 14DPO 🤞🏻

R/R: I (finally) got my colonoscopy/endoscopy biopsy results back and all is good: no Celiac, no IBS, no nothing. But I definitely have Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity so still no gluten for me. I was feeling really “off” yesterday to the point where I did an at home Covid test and also will go get one at a drive through center this morning. Feeling better this morning but want to be as cautious as possible. Finally, this dog we’re boarding right now is such a loveable creature! She’s such a weird looking one (lazy eye, snaggletooth) but adorable! I’m really in love. MH is generally apprehensive about my Rover idea and has been keeping an arm’s length from the dog (though he walked here twice yesterday because I wasn’t feeling well). But this dog is not to be deterred by his lack of attention! Last night we were on the couching watching TV and she burrowed herself in blankets right next to him. Didn’t want me! She wanted him!  Bahahahaha. It was legit the cutest thing. Photo in spoiler.

CS/Q: temp jumped this morning but it’s TempDrop and very much subject to change for 2 days afterwards.

  • @fantasyflyte I'm giddy! How did it go with your laptop? And to echo clever woohoo for that reimbursement! Hopefully that will help a bit with the finances.

@acleverusername mine is Sunday and MH's is Wednesday. I can't believe we got them this fast! Glad all of those test results came back mostly normal - I feel like every day has been a new and exciting test result for you. Also that precious pupper is so cute! We used Rover once and had an ok experience (way too many dogs at the home I left her at at once) but that dog looks like it's in heaven. Love that she prefers YH :)

  • @fameonmain2 Oooh! That's amazing re: tests! So quick! Yayayayaya. Does your state allow booking the 2nd dose right away too? As for Rover, yeah... I would never want to leave any dog of mine in a house with many dogs (especially if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs!). I have set my profile to only accepting 1 dog at a time. I was under the impression the booker could see that preference... but maybe not?

  • @acleverusername We are both getting the J&J so only one dose! Our state does do the booking for the second dose, either at the site when you get the first dose or at the same time that you book the first appointment. All of the family members I have booked for have gotten Moderna and I haven't any trouble with their second doses, and our state prioritizes those doses before first doses at their mass vaccination sites (where I've gotten them appts).

With Rover, it was a long time ago so I'm not sure... we might have been desperate for someone to watch her, usually my in-laws do but my MIL was away that weekend and because the dog was still under 2 my FIL didn't feel comfortable (his mobility is limited and she is big and strong) and I think my parents weren't comfortable with taking her either (they're not really dog people). Anyways, none of that really matters anymore since now everyone is willing to take her (she is a sweetheart) and it's unlikely we're all ever away at the same time.
  • @acleverusername @fameonmain2the laptop worked! I'm so happy and relieved!
