It seems like your temps are remaining elevated

. Did you ovulate on CD 13 or take any OPK test?

@ilovecake13 I am cautiously optimistic lol. I used the clearblue advanced digital OPK and had "high" from CD 8-14 and then hit "peak" on CD 15 so I think I ovulated either on CD 15 or CD 16, could have also ovulated late on CD 14 though

I’m a little bit worried. My temp didn’t dip, but has gone down today 😓. I’m 10 DPO, is it too early for temps to drop leading to AF? Expected period is 3/3, 4 days away.

@ilovecake13 it’s really individual. Some women’s temps go down when af is on the way, for me my temps stay high well into af. How long have you been temping/charting? If not long it can take a while to get to know your cycle.

@fameonmain2 this is my first month charting, the last 3 temps I’ve been waking up at 5:45 am and taking it instead of 6:15.

@ilovecake13 that 30 min difference *might* be enough to lower your temps, but you'd need to have charted longer to get a good baseline. It's so individual, and some are more sensitive to time differences and interrupted sleep. For me, it's usually closer to an hour off my normal time when I see temps go a little low or high, I don't see much variation within +/- 30 min.

Also you're still far away from the cover line. All that being said, temps aren't super good at predicting much except ovulation, and maybe the day of/before AF if you normally see that pattern. Implantation dips and triphasic patterns aren't seen on the majority of PG charts, just some, and they can show up on non PG charts too.

@ilovecake13For me, most often I get a big temp drop on CD1 or maybe the day before. And like @fameonmain2, sometimes my temps are still on the high side for my typical pre-O temps a few days into a new cycle. You may have a more gradual drop in temps until AF, but you won't really know if that's typical for you until you have a few cycles of charting under your belt.

Q from me for those that track their CM, position, and such: I decided I'd start properly tracking these things during this cycle. Should I be checking and recording around the same time every day like we do with BBT or does it not matter?

@inthewoods I haven't noticed that it matters, really, but I usually check mine whenever I do an OPK.

@inthewoods23 I don't believe it matters for CM. I think you're just supposed to pick the most fertile quality to log, if you get multiple types in a day. I do know that if you're tracking for BC purposes (obvi not relevant here), you need to wait until 6 pm to see if anything shows up before you consider yourself "dry". (Accdg to TCOYF). I don't think anything like that applies to TTC though.

@ilovecake13 if you change ff to fam detection I think it will change your cover line. I think the cover line should be 97.9 and your o would be anywhere from cd 13-15.

@inthewoods23 for cm it’s the most fertile cm you get at any point in the day like @pajamstagrams said. For cp it should be at the same time every day. I believe tcoyf suggests early afternoon bc early in the morning and late in the day change your position as well.

@inthewoods23 I tracked CP for the first time this cycle too and didn't really know what I was doing so I did it a few times during the day; it definitely changes throughout the day, so as others have said, doing it at the same time is best.

@inthewoods23 You’ve got good responses already. I just wanted to add that Yes, CP should be checked the same time each day. I do mine at FMU when I do my first OPK. Right around O I also start checking before bed because sometimes it was open in morning & already closed by nighttime, & then I know FW is over.
