Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Wednesday 2/3

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    R/R: been a funk since yesterday. I was doing so well with keeping the house up and working out and things while I was home for this last week but ever since CD1 kind of bed bound me I’ve been finding it hard to find the motivation to get up and do things. I’m very “what’s the point” atm. I need to start my new job so I can get back on a routine! Doing my best to remind myself to just be kind to myself. Being lazy for a few days never killed anyone.

    CS/Q: not yet

    Edit: it stopped letting me type so I had to post and then edit lol didn’t realize my rant was that long

  • @jackie_dunny I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling funky. I remember you said that due to quarantine your movements outside the house are limited, but can you take a walk around the block for some fresh air and a change of scenery? That usually lifts my mood even when I have to drag myself out the door. But if not, you’re absolutely right: a few lazy days never hurt anyone. I hope you can shake the funk & feel better soon!💗

    (FWIW. I was in a funk for all of January. It happens. I also gained 6 pounds.😮) I dragged myself out to walk yesterday & today and it’s made all the difference in my mood. I also fell asleep early after the evening walk so now I’m up in the middle of the night. Going to bed now and will get back involved here when I wake up. Feel better!

    @keikilove yeah that’s about all I can do at the moment but the last few days were downpouring with rain so I couldn’t lol seems better today though so will go for a walk with the pooch when DH gets home. We’ll chat when it’s your actual wake up hour! Thanks for the cheer up 💕

    @jackie_dunny I thrive on routine too. I had a week between jobs once but it was a lot easier to keep myself busy when there wasn't a pandemic :/ At least back then I could go to the zoo and browse around shopping. Obviously that's not something you can do now so definitely just allow yourself to laze around! Binge watch something, read a book, do a puzzle. Is there anything you can do to prep yourself for your new job?

    Month/Cycle: 44/3 AL

    CD: 15

    WAYDTGKU: temping, OPKs, GF and DF diet, PNV and supplements

    R/R: I've got some popcorn as I watch things unfold with my coworker. He's under some scrutiny now still missing deadlines with those documents that still aren't done. If only my boss would be super direct with him and lay down the law. Perhaps he is when he's having a solo conversation with him during one-on-ones but he sounds much more indirect and not harsh when I'm in a meeting with them, presumably because he doesn't want to scold coworker with me present to save him some embarrassment. Sometimes I wish I could say something but it's best for me to just watch this slowly burn down. Pro tip - don't ever respond with "I'm really busy" time and time again because everyone sees through that BS. Everybody is busy, we've all got things going on, stop using that as an excuse.

    In other news, there are like 5 squirrels running around in the trees in our backyard. OMG ONE JUST FELL. He's okay. Landed in a dead bushy weed underneath the tree. Haha I was originally just going to comment that it's a lot more movement in our trees than normal. Usually there's 1 or 2 going around.

    CS/Q: I wasted at least 2 OPKs yesterday because I did test again in the late morning and it was slightly darker which usually means I should be getting a positive soon. But the 2 I took in the afternoon looked almost like complete duds with almost no line. WTF. Line is definitely darker today so I might get my first positive before the end of the day. I'll have my chart posted shortly, it's so much easier from my phone instead of the computer

    Eta: here's that chart I promised haha

  • @jackie_dunny agree that it is absolutely normal and okay to get in funks. I go in and out of them with this whole pandemic...totally separate from TTC. But again agree that just getting outside, even if just for a walk around the neighborhood can help. And let yourself relax and do whatever you want (even if it’s nothing) before the new job starts.

    @keikilove I’ve gained 10 since the whole quarantine started. So you’re doing better than me at 6 😂. Remind me again what area you live with such different time zones? (Again claiming the I have the memory of a goldfish excuse and remember nothing!)

    Month/Cycle: 7/1AL

    CD: 15

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs

    R/R: I’m feeling very disorganized right now and need to have an organization day so I don’t stress myself out. Going to continue to self quarantine today since I flew over the weekend. I feel fine but just out of abundance of caution and respect to others

    CS/Q: No questions. Day 6 of High CB Digital OPK. Pregmate OPK was negative still this AM but went up to 37% per Femometer and .36 on Premom (from 5%/.15 on CD10). So at least starting to trend up. Will test again with Pregmate OPK later to see if I should continue the HIO streak or use tonight as the break to ramp up for -1 & O days. So much anxiety or not getting timing right! Haha

  • @inthewoods23 Love your squirrel diaries! We back up to a prairie and have a ton of squirrel and other wildlife activity. It's fun to watch, but the dog goes nuts! Also, been there with the boss situation, so frustrating. Hopefully coworkers gets his sh!t together soon.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 12

    WAYDTGKU: HIO (SMEP), OPKs, BBT

    R/R: Rave: HUMP DAY... it's the little things am I right?

    CS/Q: None. Also, really, really bad at charting.

  • @inthewoods23 missed you when I tagged! Haha I love the real time squirrel action 😂. Hopefully we get positives on those OPKs soon and can move over to TWW.

    @misspricklepants yesss! Hump day!
  • @sienna221 we could be O day buddies!! haha

    @misspricklepants fun fact, coworker did not get his sh*t together. I had mentioned to my boss that he responded to an email at the very end of the day yesterday that had come in over lunch. Boss had already responded to that email AND as I just found out, boss had asked coworker a question about it to confirm his thoughts and he specifically told coworker that he would be answering it. So WTF with coworker answering the email. So boss needs to have yet another conversation with coworker to nip that in the bud (hopefully). Nothing ever seems to stick with him though so unlikely that things will change. We'll see.

    WAYDTGKU: IVF, waiting for egg retrieval

    R/R: Oh my God, get these eggs out now. I’ve been ok with all the meds, but now I’m just uncomfortable. Not pain, not bloat really... it just feels like my ovaries are massive, haha. Procedure is tomorrow.

    Oh, and my Ember mug didn’t charge last night, so now I’m just laying here on the couch refreshing my app to see where the battery life indicator is. Enraging.

    CS/Q: nope

  • @Lisa3379 wait, what is an ember mug? I’ve never heard of this. And sorry you’re uncomfortable...tomorrow can’t get here fast enough!
  • @sienna221 only the greatest invention ever! It’s a rechargeable coffee mug that keeps your coffee at whatever temperature you like for 1.5-2 hours.
  • @inthewoods23 love the squirrel play-by-play! All I have to say re your coworker is: 🙄 get your sh*t together, man!

    @sienna221 I’m the same way with organization. I can’t seem to focus if things aren’t organized

    @misspricklepants happy Wednesday!

    @Lisa3379 never heard of an Ember mug. I’m surprised MH doesn’t have one, he loves all things fancy-tech

  • @Lisa3379 it's funny, when I did IVF I didn't ever feel bloated or uncomfortable - and they retrieved 24 eggs! Same with all the different meds and such. I didn't notice anything majorly different while on them. GL tomorrow!

    @jackie_dunny yeah idk.... coworker has yet to respond to any emails today. Par for the course lol. His calendar shows he's only had the morning meetings that I'm also in. Hopefully he's actually spent the day focusing on the damn work that's overdue. I'll let you all know if he says he hasn't gotten to them yet later this week lol. I really wouldn't be surprised by that.

    My OPK after lunch jumped up to being halfway to positive so maybe I will have a positive tonight. I should be over in TWW soon :)

    I was sleep-groggy and I posted in this when I probably should’ve moved over to TWW. I guess I will start posting there tomorrow instead of double-dipping today.🙃

    @jackie_dunny Were you able to get out with your pup & DH today? Hope your spirits lifted whether you were able to get out or not.

    @inthewoods23 🍿 indeed! I honestly don’t comprehend how this guy is still employed at your company. It almost makes me wonder if your boss knows something everyone else doesn’t. 🤔 Like, maybe he has a disorder or something that makes him behave the way he does, and your boss doesn’t want to discriminate...

    @sienna221 Oooh, quarantine is the perfect excuse to get organized! Hopefully you’ll be able to get things in shape so you can feel in control of everything else too. I’m also in quarantine right now—my bedroom is on day 3 of partial disarray.😆 I pulled everything out of closets like all the pro organizers say to do, but it’s not so easy to get it to the way I want it to look. (BTW, I’m in HI and the weather is almost always good, so I could work out outside: I have no good excuse for the weight gain.🤪)

    @misspricklepants Love your positivity!😄

    @Lisa3379 You’re almost there! Hopefully the bloat means lots of eggs.🤞🏽 The Ember mug sounds great! Never heard of it.

    Month/Cycle: 33/?

    WAYDTGKU: So many things

    R/R: Rave: It’s been cold & rainy here for days, which is good for staying in the house & getting stuff done. Rant: I’m tired now but have some important computer stuff that must get done in the next few hours.

    CS/Q: Got CHs this morning, will post in TWW starting tomorrow.

  • @keikilove I figured that’s where you were located from your profile pic but wanted to double check!
  • @inthewoods23 hmmmm.... please, keep us posted! I am invested haha. Also, woot woot for TWW! Fingers crossed for you.

    @keikilove I don't know about everyone else, but I am JELLY! It's 34* and snowing here in Chicago. I'll take rainy HI day any day over this!
